but he was poor for us, did you see any of them play for us? ostenstad is probably thee worst player i've seen for us, far worse than Velicka......
-
i know we are not scouts Craig (although we could be) and i'm sure there is better vallue out there somewhere but no one has came up with any names as to who. There would be a signing on fee i'm sure and at least the same wages he is on i'd just like to know who people are on about that would be better value or are they just saying it because they think he's crap?
-
i'm sorry i'm not having a go honest mate, but a striker is there to score goals, if he does nothing else apart from that it doesn't bother me, that is what others players in the team are for, everyone is different and should work together, no point in having the same type of players. we have miller and lafferty and others who can play up front so i can't see him being first pick but if these players had it all they wouldn't be playing in the SPL.
-
But it's not his fault he cost that is it? Boyd was a SPL bargain but he was out of contract in the summer the year we signed him so was cheaper. We all knew cousin was a better player when he was in the mood, but he fell out with his manager and club before he signed so they wanted rid of him on the cheap, I wonder why his attitude has got him where he is now, on loan from Hull playing for that great greek team called Larrissa.... Velicka is certainly not the worst player i've seen play for us even in recent times and as I said he scored some good and important goals which won us the title in the end that's his job to score goals which he done. We all want better but I think he's a decent squad player to have. I doubt he's on more than £5k. I'd say Sebo, Capucho, Guivarch, Ostenstad, Jeffers are just a few I think were much worse than Velcika......
-
we've not got the money to sign real quality players have we? He did do well and scored some important goals for us in the run then got a bad injury in his first game on loan. If he gets fit then there's no reason to why he can't be a decent squad player for us and I doubt he is on that much wages. Who would you suggest we sign with the money being quoted i.e. £5m? sorry but your moaning is worse than a womens

very poor examples, is that the best you could come up with
-
i'm a fan it looks great, i might even buy this one for myself along with my son!!
-
you really are quite sceptical aren't you :fish:
-
But not all players become good players by the age of 20, quite a lot peak at a much higher age....
-
this is what murray park is for is it not, why we invested a lot of money in the first place and to save us spending millions? just because they come through the ranks they are still new squad players are they not so why not say it? everyone wants to see young players brought through and if they are not given a chance then we will never know if they can step up a level just now. we have brought some good young players through with the likes of wilson and fleck and now hopefully others will follow. why so negative on this? we could spend millions on duds like we have in the past, would you rather have it that way
-
great news and we needed some. we all sort of knew this is what Ally was brought here for and at least Walter is telling the fans some truth. if we resign some players and sign some new ones then I am in no doubt we will do well again and would be happy enough for super ally take over. I also think it will have a bearing on the likes of boyd and weir resigning and others who are out of contract next year, not so much wilson but we'll hopefully soon find out........
-
Apart from us or the scum I doubt any other SPL team could afford him. I think the fee they were quoting was around £400k.
-
a decent enough player, but again like Reid past his best, very injury prone and will demand a high wage. these are the kind of players we used to sign
-
you just seemed more pissed off about losing late goals today than winning the league to me that's all. blame the ref or linesman for giving a pen when there was no contact or the diving wee cheat. you can't blame gers for that!! I'm away for another beer to keep the sore head away :robbo: :spl:
-
are you actually enoying us winning the league
-
if he does leave it could well go against him at this time of his career. if boogie had been fit and not went AWOL he would never had played as many games if any. He has done very well but only as gribz said playing beside someone like weir. i don't know if it's him or his agent but he is not being well advised in any way. why would you leave a team in the CL and winning trophies every year and playing first team football to one who you will hardly ever get a game with and are in pretty bad shape as well? It can't all be down to money for a 17 year old surely? it's his choice at the end of the day so if he moves he moves, we get some money for him and hopefully pick up another bargain like Carlos or Boogie............
-
it's not a done deal yet it's only paper talk , no need to have a go at the kid just yet, he might stay !!
-
I thought that was just the norm on FF

nothing will be said about the dive or the penalty incident. they can't complain about getting nothing now they got the luck tonight big time. both teams could easily have scored more and we deserved a draw IMO but wasn't to be. never nice to lose to the scum but to watch them celebrate like they have actually won something was funny and a bit embarrassing at the same time.....our fans outsung them the whole game and how bad is samaras
-
does this still stand :fish:
-
Is this board full of tims at the windup or is it just me :fish: You would think the scum just won the league or something the way some slag of our own players and manager sometimes
-
Kyle is certainly not the best bit of business we have done but he is far from the worst. He is a hard worker and in the past few weeks has scored some very important goals for us. He will improve IMO, he will never replace Boyd but could do a good job for us if he stays.

Rangers have offered him a new contract so how have they not tried

As some have already asked who would you suggest could take over and why do you think they would be more successful than Walter especially under our current circumstances PLG was very highly rated when he came to us but he set us back after hardly anytime in the job and wasted a lot of money on some duds. Would you just keep going until we found someone who plays the football you seem to want (or dream about) and also brings trophies and do well in Europe? There is no guarantee it would ever happen? I doubt we could afford to do that anyway (pay offs for every sacking) or bring in a big name to start with giving our finances just now. I for one wouldn't want to go down the road of getting rid of a manager again if it didn't work for after 6 months, it sets you back further. We all want to play good attractive football but it's trophies that count.

I must admit I find his robot celebrations pretty funny, long may they continue :spl:
