i agree, most people would take a pay rise no matter how much the liked the company they were working for, but of course some won't and are quite happy with what they have and where they are, and could be for a number of reasons, and are called loyal. i think it's a wee bit different for football teams though as most boys grow up supporting one and not that many get the chance to play for the team you supported/support. i would definitely say i would be very very happy playing for Rangers for all my career but i have sadly not been in that position and say if i was offered more money elsewhere would i stay or go, i can't say for sure what i would actually do but i would like to think i would stay. i don't think it helps when Rangers don't really make players feel that welcome these days, they don't offer contracts nearly early enough to players and expect players to stay when they do offer them late. they accept virtually any offer on you so that also must be your mind when you choose......

why would he demand more to sign for the tims then less for coming to us? can't see it and hope it doesn't happen.

Better leagues and more money comes before loyalty and trophies for most pro's these days.........

I agree here, i think he's a decent young player who would improve with us if given a chance. We do need another central midfielder incase anyone got injured and for around �£1m and not massive wages he might be a good signing. I don't think anyone else in that position would leave if he did sign for us.

it depends on who's interested and what agent they have. i don't think anyone else was interested in him which probably made it easier and faster and of course he supported them as a kid

i think it's just we have a wage cap. we can't afford a big/decent transfer fee and big wages. so it's either a transfer fee with average wages or a loan with biggers wages. what the wage bill must be at some teams down south must be scarey and are they gambling the future of their club as they won't be getting as much money fromTV etc in the future..... i liked the look of tonge whenever i saw him play for sheff utd and think he would be a good signing......

these kind of players won't get a move to a bigger club then Rangers, more money perhaps, if they are very lucky maybe win a trophy but I doubt it, his loss............

i don't think we will pay �£25k a week for someone even on a free transfer, we paid good money for lafferty but i doubt we could get our money back for him so how does everyone know he will be sold for millions when i doubt many have seen him play in a handful of games and not many decent clubs are interested in him, if he was that good more clubs would surely be interested especially on a free transfer but not many are why celtic are panic buying in my opinion and wasting a lot of money on wages and signing on fees like we used to do. paying big wages for bullard and campbell if they come could set them back if it doesn't work out or they get injured like they usually do.....

In your opinion, Roma are �£350m in debt and up for sale so maybe they're on the hunt for free transfers also. IF he was as good as reports are saying more than 1 or 2 decent clubs would be interested IMO. Do you know for a fact he will be sold for millions

I'Ve hardly seen the guy play to make a comment. Some quarters rate him highly and others say he's average. IMO if he was as good as some are saying why aren't any big clubs in for him?

have you ever seen the guy play? some players do develop later on and whenever i've seen him he looked ok, as frankie says a decent squad player. i'd rather it was one of our youngsters than paying for a back up player........

I think he'll go to the EPL still, WBA are after him now and Roma still are. I've heard WBA are after Beasley as well...........
