  1. I think it's pretty simple like Pete says, reports i've read are he was offered about £10k a week or less from Rangers on a one year deal whereas Bursaspor are offering £50k a week on a 2.5 year deal. Unless you are very happy and loyal not many would turn that down, and unless you are in that position it's easy to come on here and say otherwise IMO.
  2. What are Sebo and Buffel up to these days
  3. Again I don't understand all your problems with virtually every player Rangers have or did have. In his situation and age etc most players would move for a deal like that not just Miller. He owes us nothing and although WS and AM have helped in his development Miller himself is the only person who should take credit for the form he has been in and what he has done for us. He has never stayed long at any club so why did you expect him to stay here for the rest of his playing days and turn down a last chance of a big payday to sign a new contract on less money? As Bluedell says family comes first and this will set him and family up for life.
  4. Sure I seen them saying clubs would lose £1m a season if this didn't happen and also SKY wanted this format end of story.........
  5. If that's the case why are even looking at him them? I don't think even they can afford to buy someone on decent wages mearly for backup (i'm sure they could easily find some italian on much less wages or have younger players there already as backup) and as I said I doubt he would go just to be a backup player at this stage in his career. I don't think he would be suited to Italian football either and although it is far superior it's not the best league in the world either. He has got better with age and we've had him for best goalscoring years.
  6. I doubt he would go just to be a backup player for anyone at this stage of his career and as Fiorentina seem to be struggling for goals they would sign a stiker who has scored 22 so far this season and on a 2 1/2 year contact on £35k a week and not play him!!
  7. he was, with a nice blonde bird in front of him
  8. hopefully have :nj: fit and raring to go..............
  9. I wouldn't say parents are scared to let their kids out when they get to a decent age. There are 'no ball games' signs up all the over the place so they can't play in the streets without someone chasing them, there's no decent facilties to play football in estates or none near enough to houses which means kids would have to cross very busy roads so no wonder parents don't let them out, I know I wouldn't just now. I've took my boy to Motherwell FC and SFA run football classes for young kids and they were a joke. My boy hated it and I wouldn't take him back anyway, I could teach him more than they were doing and I told them as much but i've seen them since and nothing has changed. I will take him again when he's a bit older and if I can find one decent enough he will enjoy. He enjoys other sports/activities much more just now because basically they make it appealing and enjoyable for kids unlike the football classes he went to. IMO they should have more at both primary and secondary schools as I agree that some parents could not give a toss about what their kids do outside school or maybe some parents can't afford to do take them as some can be quite expensive. I don't agree kids should be forced into doing sports if they don't want to.
  10. He may do that, but I doubt very much anyone would do that in this situation, you may like to think you would but I doubt it. He's not the greediest football player on the planet, he could've got much more money at Birmingham i'm sure. In his situation I wouldn't accept the contract he was offered given other players would still be earning more than him and he is one of the more important players in our team giving us 22 goals so far, and only a one year deal pretty poor contract offer I say.
  11. I agree but it's not his fault is it, would you turn it down if you never asked to leave club but were asked to take a pay cut on a one year deal? Again it should have been dealt with long before now by the club to sort these contracts out. We've already let the SPL top scorer go for nothing as well very bad business.
  12. He never asked for a transfer but he's a chancing B, sorry don't get that. Rangers should have these contracts sorted out long before now it's their own fault IMO.....
  13. I sadly agree but surely it's time they put Rangers first (didn't somone say that in a campaign recently) and put all their ego's aside for the sake of the club they say they love seeing the mess we are in just now. I can dream I suppose
  14. C'mon guys no need for all the insults , I think most of us hate SDM (just took others a bit longer to find out what he is really like)....... I really wish our fans could unite at least for the present problems and do something but there's too many pulling in different directions to do that.....
  15. Not good enough for me, not been that impressed by him.
  16. £1m tops for goodwillie he's a loose cannon but could be a star if he sorted himself out. We all know up front should not be our top priority, surely Rangers can see this as well ??
  17. Miller can't really win. He scored over 20 goals last season and already has over 20 this season, to let him go for £700k IMO is shocking. I would rather him stay and go for nothing at the end of the season as he will get us goals that could win us the league and hopefully get into the CL. Again the money men at Rangers have let this situation happen, how much have they cost us on transfer fees? Either sell him last season or get him signed up on a deal, surely we can afford a few grand more for our best and top goalscorer. It could possibly be his last big deal so why should he not look after himself and family.
  18. signed............
  19. I am also changing my mind and don't think a bigger league would work finacially or improve the standard of our football any. I also hate the split and hopefully they can get rid of this once they all agree.......
  20. A bit of an over reaction there, why do so many championship and lower premiership teams keep buying players from the SPL then if it's so bad...
  21. I don't believe that, you being negative no way
  22. it's my opinion pete, he knew what was needed at the club at the time and i'll stand by this, no one else IMO could have done what he did at the time he came and improved the state we were in under the circumstances. He got mainly Scottish players in and the lilkes of weir for nothing, i don't think any other manager could have done this. Again it's just my opinion, who else do you think 'could' have done the same or better? i can't think of anyone else really who would have put up with what he has and still done what he has. i agree it's a more worrying time when he goes but it seems half the fans want him to go.
  23. yawn yawn yawn ...................apply for the job and see if you can win us the anything smith hasn't on the same budget now not over a decade ago.........
  24. so the players are not to blame? it's all smiths fault, i'm blind ha ok mate...............
