SSN now saying Goodwillie will be having a medical at Blackburn today......
-
Just seen on SSN that Fulham have made an offer for Verhoek. Will hear more during the day I assume. Also on SSN 'Hear what Ally McCoist has to say on Rangers chances of signing David Goodwillie - coming up now on SSN' I hear Goodwillie won't be having his medical today, it might be 2-3 days before he travels back down! So many stories going about who do you believe!!

RANGERS boss Ally McCoist yesterday ran the rule over Arsenal striker Rhys Murphy. The 20-year-old frontman, along with former German international David Odonkor, played in a closed door 2-1 friendly win over Hamilton. England youth international Rhys Murphy has been told he has no future at Arsenal and had a trial with Championship side Middlebrough last month. Ally McCoist now has to decide whether or not to follow up his interest in a player who has come highly recommended. Murphy's only previous first-team experience came a couple of seasons ago via a loan spell with Brentford. McCoist is also still hoping to get the green light to make another raid on the Emirates to bring Kyle Bartley back on-loan for another season. A move that McCoist confirmed to Express Sport back in June and the Ibrox boss was told he would get a decision on that front next week. Ally McCoist is also still hoping to bring Kyle Bartley back on-loan for another season. Meanwhile, winger Odonkor, 27, has been on trial since he quit Spanish side Real Betis on freedom of contract. McCoist also used yesterday's game to top up the fitness of some of his top-team stars with John Fleck and David Healy on the scoresheet. Kirk Broadfoot, Gregg Wylde and Kyle Hutton all getting action, along with James Beattie, who made his comeback from injury. Beattie, who spent the tail end of last season on loan at Blackpool, is looking to save his Ibrox career and will travel to Sweden with the rest of the squad for tomorrow's Champions League qualifier with Malmo.

St Johnstone 0 - 2 Rangers - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
johnnyk replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
:sn: for me, thought he played well and scored a good goal..... -
So after being pleased he signed for us and to know he wasn't match fit when he came to us, that after 3 (no full 90 min) games you knew he was a dud, and it wasn't just match fitness he needed, you're in the wrong job
-
You've just said in one sentence you thought he'd be useful and you were really pleased when we signed him, then in the other suggesting it was laughable when people made comments that he just needed to be match fit
-
As long as we get a good replacement he can go for me, his heart has not been in it for a while now.
-
SSN saying we've had another bid turned down for Goodwillie, they want more add ons now I've heard.....
-
Exactly he's been far from the worst player on show for us. You don't become a bad player overnight and I'm sure once played in the correct position he'll be back to his best for us.

Rangers to trial German international - David Odonkor
johnnyk replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
We can pick them, we're like a rehabilitation centre He did look player 5 years ago right enough ................ -
Frankie would soon get them in shape and sorted out

So say we get Wilkins in (which I like the idea off BTW) and it doesn't work out any better, what then? It might not look like Ally is interested but he will be hurting bad inside, but I would trust Ally's footballing judgement every day over you or anyone else say on here (except maybe Frankie ), but that doesn't mean you are wrong either just my opinion. We have played that formation before in europe so I don't where you get that from? And again IMO Davie Weir is still our best defender, I would drop any of the others before I would drop him regardless of his present age. Boogie is a liabilty and doesn't give a toss and this shows the way he is playing, the sooner he leaves the better, £3m take it now please! You are right not winning the league is not acceptable and no fan should be happy with 2nd place but it does happen and will happen for as long as the club is alive as we have no devine right to win any trophy but when it happens it's meltdown time and the fallout from a lot of fans is a 100 times worse than it really is maybe more. Look at the fans reaction so far this season after a few games :disgusted:
-
I take it you're not going to reply to me then.......
-
So what is the solution Danny? Not having a go just asking what can be done that Ally is not already doing? What can be done to prevent us losing? It's very easy for us fans to have a go from outside, every player/manager is a risk and every player/manager won't be a success and we won't win the league every year.

I will judge McCoist after his first season in charge not after 2 competitive games and meaningless friendlies. I logged into FF last night and some of the stuff on there was shocking, sack Ally now, he's not good enough and never was etc etc, shameful stuff. How a manager of any team be judged after 2 games is beyond me. Once he (hopefully) gets more players in and players he wants then maybe i'll judge him more but these players will also need time to settle into Scottish football and also playing for a club like Rangers. I remember even legends such as McCoist and Hately taking time to settle and look what they did for us! Only time will tell if he will be successful or not but I will certainly give him more time and won't be panicking yet.

At £25 a time no wonder, will clubs ever learn to lower the prices to get a bigger crowd and look after the fans at the same time!!

Rangers have tabled a new bid for USA international midfielder Alejandro Bedoya. The player, who is currently with Swedish club Orebro, has already agreed to sign for Rangers on a pre-contract basis and is due to join the Ibrox club on January 1, 2012. Rangers failed with a previous bid to sign him immediately, prior to landing him on a Bosman, and have now tabled a fresh offer - understood to be Ã?£400,000 - in order to bring the player to Scotland ahead of schedule. Director of football Gordon Smith said last week that the club were working to try and add Bedoya to their pool before the close of the transfer window, but said any move would depend on a fee being agreed with Orebro. Bedoya, who has been in Sweden since 2009, has 13 caps for the United Statesââ?¬â?¢ national team. He was a member of the United States' squad for the Gold Cup in June, making five appearances as Bob Bradley's side reached the final before losing 4-2 to Mexico. Speak to STV last week, the player's agent Patrick Mork said he believed Bedoya would fit in well in Scotland. ââ?¬Å?Alejandro Bedoya plays with lots of guts and character. When you see him play you think British football. ââ?¬Å?He is a very hard working player, an up and down the midfield player. He can play central or right midfield and also on the right wing.ââ?¬Â http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/263884-rangers-want-to-bring-alejandro-bedoya-now/

Rangers 1 v 1 Hearts - The Quest for 55 begins slowly
johnnyk replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't think many would say I told you so if we had won yesterday or were talking out of their arses as you say can't people be positive rather negative, we are the champions after all and have won the league against the odds 3 years on the trot!. All we want is the best result for our team. We didn't play well at all but the good thing is we can play better and we didn't lose the game. Hearts are not a push over and played very well in the 1st half so they have to get some credit, and IMO they will probably finish 3rd easy. We never usually get off to good starts, (last year aside) and I know we can play better so I'm not overly concerned, if we don't start winning in the next few games then I might be but we can only wait an see. -

It wasn't us mate as you'll know but we were dreadful first half and can understand fans doing it but as you say it doesn't help. We've spent money on a left back when we know we need a fast winger or creative midfielder, I hope we get them in soon after watching that today mate Hopefully see you at a game soon. -

Ian, Rangers were very poor first half and most of them were going about it like it was a training game all the way through. Davis was trying to do everything on his own, Edu played well 2nd half, McGregor had a some great saves, the rest need to have a look at themselves for the money they are picking up, it's not like they haven't played together before. No imagination, pace or leadership anywhere really. Whittaker was really bad today and I mean really bad. We need a creative midfielder and a good fast winger, how long have we been saying that We've got decent seats tho and always good to get a sing song Mate -
he's been to plenty games from the pictures i've seen on forums over the years, home and away, and as BD said he was supporting us in Manchester a few years back. More of a fan than a disney holiday photo that you say IMO
