  1. I can see that side as well mate, but the club will have insurance for these things, albeit missing a top player from your team might be damaging to winning trophies. It can also be a short career and some players think playing for your country is a top honour or some might want to collect as many caps as possible and/or improve themself playing different national teams.
  2. Surely the players have the last say if they want to play? If he wants to play for his country that badly (and I think he is needed tonight) and wants to take injections then good on him. You get others who pull out of the squad with a broken toe nail..............
  3. i'm in the west these days, at least i'm getting a laugh at yer comments the day
  4. you on yer bad week gazza, yer talking like a wee bitchy lassie
  5. i don't have any more red wine for you if that's what yer after
  6. not like you to talk pish again gazza, Ian is a very good friend, doesn't mean I side with him all the time, like you seem to disagree with him and most of the positive posters on here
  7. I'm with Ian on this, yes Mols got a bad injury and is still talked about but we played superb that night and should've won the game which from the supporters I know this was thee main thing. not like you to pick the negative side Gazza :fish: He was superb last night in the masters, so were the rest of team
  8. why so negative? you complain when we can't do the basics. he's setting up goals and from what i've seem he has so much more. did you even see the game?
  9. Is that all he done, pish
  10. you been on that red wine i gave you
  11. I saw him play against Wales last month and he looked very good, a confident passer, he was on the left but came inside a lot, liked to run with the ball and good at getting back to defend, not scared to tackle, never really stopped running and looked like he covered more ground that anyone else. If he plays anything like that form I think we have a very good player indeed.
  12. Our squad certainly looks better looking at the list Craig has posted there.
  13. I'm sure there's thousands of fans who could say the same about players and spoting potential, our club have signed some in the past and sold them for big bucks. But there's always the other side where some players just don't make it be it the Scottish game or something else but not everyone makes it big. I'm not saying Matavz won't make it big as from what i've seen of him he looks a good player.
  14. they've only signed 2 defenders on free transfers this window so apart from wages they've not spent a lot but i'm sure they are in debt and more if they sign they 3 players i mentioned.
  15. Stoke have agreed a fee of £6.5m with Birmingham for Cameron Jerome, and Crouch is at the ground talking about a move for £10m, I can't see them signing 3 strikers. They are also ready to sign Wilson Palacios from Spurs.
  16. I would ceratinly like Davies as our manager, like him a lot. I think Ally deserves a chance tho.
  17. well i dont gazza or i wouldnt have said it, anything is possible.
  18. or maybe a younger player with potential, you never know............
  19. we have signed players late on in the past gazza, i'm sure we could do it again, IF we sold jelavic we would HAVE to bring someone in.
  20. thats what i kind of said in the previous sentence, as long as we had replacements in mind/place if we sold him now.
  21. £8m+ i'd take that for him, as long as we had replacements in mind and don't panic buy just anyone. Surely we can improve the team with that kind of dosh.
  22. Yes Danny that's bad even for you, he is average at best IMO, takes a good free kick now and then that's it, very injury prone and he loves them, no no no............
  23. you think? we just missed lots of chances, we were the better team in all games IMO we just didn't take our chances, whereas our opposition had much less chances but took them. We need a settled team and hopefully once the window shuts and we have all our players fit we will have. i'm sure we would have heard if there was unrest behind the scenes.
  24. but there's another thread about it is there not? in reply i'd say no and we never will be, we're a middle of the road european team who sometimes do better and sometimes worse than expected. when we were doing well against the top teams would you say we were a top euro team? we were beat by lower ranked teams, it happens all the time in football but i would never call us a european minnow.
  25. why do you keep asking this
