  1. Stop being optimistic Ian, he's doomed don't you know...... Welcome to the club Sone..............
  2. Says to me that he has good ability with a ball, also good at making runs but his team did not play to his strengths in that game, doesn't seem that odd
  3. I thought Aluko plays on both right and left wings does he not? I think he will sign now as long as we don't have to pay the sheep anything.
  4. Fourth round draw: Ross County v Stenhousemuir Livingston v Ayr Utd or Montrose Raith Rovers v Greenock Morton Hearts v Auchinleck Talbot Cowdenbeath v Hibernian St Johnstone v Brechin City Stranraer or Forfar Athletic v Aberdeen Culter or Partick Thistle v Queen of the South Inverness Caley Thistle v Dunfermline Athletic Falkirk v East Fife Motherwell v Elgin City or Queens Park Arbroath v Rangers Peterhead v Celtic Airdrie United v Dundee Utd Dundee v Kilmarnock St. Mirren v Hamilton Academical Ties will be played over the weekend of Saturday 7 January 2012.
  5. Not enough people would pay just for SPL TV, with SKY and ESPN you have lots of other top games and sports as well as football. I wouldn't pay for SPL TV.
  6. 3-0 jelavic hat trick
  7. MORE religious hate crimes take place in POLICE STATIONS than in football stadiums, new figures show. And cops make up nearly HALF of all victims of sectarian abuse. One in five bigoted offences occur in cop shops â?? compared to just 12 per cent in soccer grounds. Of all victims, 42 per cent are bobbies. Last night politicians insisted the stats show the SNP's planned new anti-bigotry legislation to tackle football hate crimes had been "rightly criticised". Labour Shadow Justice spokesman James Kelly said: "It is clear sectarianism does not stop at the stadium gates." Tory justice spokesman David McLetchie said: "The case for new laws remains unproven." And a Celtic spokesman added: "The vast majority of religiously-aggravated crime does not take place in or around stadia. "This reinforces our long-held view that sectarianism and religious prejudice are societal issues and cannot be laid predominantly at the door of football." Holyrood united against the SNP's new Offensive Behaviour at Football Bill earlier this year â?? branding it "naive". Community Safety Minister Roseanna Cunningham promised statistics to back up her case for change. But yesterday's figures came as a blow to the party's plans. There were a total of 693 recorded sectarian offences last year â?? the highest level in four years. Rangers boss Ally McCoist believes the rise is down to a clampdown by authorities. But he added: "I'm of the belief we're going in the right direction. I definitely believe we are improving as a nation." http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/3945827/More-hate-crimes-in-cop-shops-than-footie-grounds.html http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2011/11/17154035/3

    Sone Aluko?

Aluko would be a decent addition IMO, pacey, likes to take on defenders and for being quite young has plenty of SPL experience and would'nt get away with being lazy like he was when he started out at the sheep shaggers. About Charlie Adam how is he not doing well at Liverpool? and he was superb for Blackpool most fans will say that! He's played in virtually all Liverpool's games this season and they are 6th in the EPL, he's doing OK IMO, some seem hard to please
  9. I really don't know how guys like Cosgrove, Chick Young etc actually get/have jobs as they are terrible at what they do. What Cosgrove said doesn't surprise me he always has been a total prat and very biased.
  10. He has a very bad disease it's not as easy as you think just stop drinking even when the doctor tells you too, many have tried and failed and he has tried many times. Drink also affects people in different ways, some get aggressive some don't, it can be a demon and totally mess with your head as we all know, more so for others and i'm sure the drinkers on here have all been embarrassed by drink in some way in the past and more than once, but i'm certainly not defending what he did to his wife. I think from what I've seen and heard from him recently he actually has a chance this time and has been sober for some time now. He goes to the gym most days so is keeping fit and busy, hopefully the hangers on are out of his life and only the important friends and family are there for him when he needs them. One of the greatest ever players I have seen play for us and it was a privilege, good luck Gazza i'll only remember you for all the right reasons.
  11. We still have a good enough team to win the league without him and these type of things happen all the time in football so i'm not really that down about it like others seem to be. I would of course love to have him fit as he was in great form for us and I feel for him career wise but I just see it as a chance for someone else to step in and show us what they can do.
  12. 3-0 jelavic hat trick..............
  13. For the wages he will want he is certainly not worth it. Didn't he turn down £50k+ a week from wolves recently? Injury prone, overrated and very inconsistent player IMO. Isn't it their AGM soon
  14. He's been bankruped a few times as a bookie and was a heavy loser at gambling but poor is not one thing I would say about McCririck........
  15. Gribz still thinks of Thomas Buffel as a Rangers legend
  16. The reason some 'may' compare him with Ally is his goals ratio not his style of play, we all know McCoist was a much better all round player but Ally also played with better players and got more chances as well. Boyd is still the SPL top scorer so he couldn't have been that crap!
  17. Not necessarily mate, it's the school holidays that week and some like myself might be away, even if I was here and it was say £10 I still would not go, nothing to do with the price for me I just stopped going to meaningless games years ago. We need money and this is one way of getting some and I have no problem with the club trying this way and hope they get a decent crowd. If fans moan about the price of tickets then don't go I doubt they will miss much anyway, although I could be wrong
  18. Fans don't have to go or pay the prices like I won't be, but I'm sure there will be thousands who think differently and want to go and will pay these prices no problem.
  19. I think after the number of complaints they had to look in to it at least. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the Hearts fans who get charged and the tims get away with it as usual.....
  20. Police launch new sectarian singing probe MARTIN WILLIAMS Share 5 Oct 2011 POLICE have launched an investigation into the singing of sectarian songs at the SPL game between Hearts and Celtic at the weekend. Officers have begun a post-match investigation after receiving complaints away fans sung pro-IRA songs during the sideâ??s 2-0 defeat at Tynecastle Stadium. It is understood the police are also looking into the singing of anti-Catholic songs by Hearts fans. Police have confirmed one fan was arrested and charged with breach of the peace â??with a sectarian aggravatorâ? at Sundayâ??s match, which was shown live on Sky Sports. Songs reported to have been sung by Celtic fans included Ooh Ah Up The Ra, said to be a pro-IRA song :surprised:, The Boys of the Old Brigade, which celebrates the role of the 1920s IRA in the Irish War of Independence, and Roll of Honour, an Irish rebel song that commemorates the participants in the 1981 Irish hunger strike. A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: â??We are investigating complaints about the singing of sectarian songs and there is a post-match investigation under way. Anyone who is found during these inquiries to be committing an offence will be brought to justice.â? We are investigating complaints about the singing of sectarian songs and there is an investigation under way The new probe was compared by the police to that carried out when trouble flared at the Hiber-nian v Sunderland pre-season friendly in August. As of last week, 12 men have been arrested and charged with breach of the peace, some of which were aggravated by religious prejudice. Sundayâ??s game was expected to lead to high tensions as it was the first since Celtic manager Neil Lennon was confronted by Hearts fan John Wilson on the touchline in May. Mr Wilson, an unemployed labourer, was jailed for eight months after being found guilty of a breach of the peace at the game in May, although there was uproar over a not proven verdict returned by the jury at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on a charge of assault aggravated by religious prejudice. Safety measures introduced for Sundayâ??s match included â??clear zonesâ? between the two sets of fans and police and stewards around the dugouts. Security guards escorted Lennon closely in an attempt to prevent a repeat of the scenes. While there was no sign at the match of Wilson, who was banned from Tynecastle for life after charging at Lennon, the Celtic manager was taunted by some Hearts fans who wore face masks of Wilson. There were also reports schoolboy football team Livingston Hearts were subjected to abuse from Celtic fans when they took to the field at Tynecastle. Scores of supporters were seen making obscene gestures at the youngsters as they jogged past on a lap of honour during the half time interval.
  21. No problem gazza, Whenever i've seen these cops I know they always seem to brag about what they done in their job such as lift this guy etc which I can't be doing with, they seem to enjoy arresting people or treating people the way they say they do which is not what I thought the police force was all about and i'm sure it's not in most cases. Maybe I just know guys who were already prats and decided to be policemen I also think if you are in a group of people and say one or two are out of order to the police then the whole group then gets labelled the same. It must be hard for the police in certain situations but I just feel most of the time they make matters worse especially at football games and are too heavy handed in most cases and could often calm most of the situations down by the way they act and talk right away. I think the way the stewards and police went in to get the guy with the bottle (which he had approved by the police and stewards before he entered the ground) was wrong, which is why other fans acted in the way they did. I am not defending them, far from it they made matters worse in the end, but from what i've heard the police/stewards were not that polite when they were trying to speak to the guy. IMO all that was needed was a quiet word with the guy instead of them throwing their weight around shouting for the guy to get over here now. I'm sure these things even themselves out so i'll come in contact (hopefully not too often) with some decent cops to make up for the not so decent ones already
  22. He can play both central and left midfield positions and also left back. So he'll probably play on the right for us
  23. I know 6 cops (that I can think off just now) and 5 are total plonkers and brag about what they have done and can do (god like) whenever I have seen them which is thankfully not very often. One is now living on benefits from the force where again he has told me and others there is basically nothing wrong with him but he is getting away with it. I know only 1 decent cop the rest I have met are not. The MAJORITY of other cops 'I' have came in contact with or have spoken to in my lifetime have acted in this way (god like), there has of course been some decent ones but the MAJORITY have not been. I don't envy anyone being on the police force but from my own personal experience the majority are not worth much. I know YOU won't believe or agree with this gazza but i'm sure a lot of non cops will.
  24. Makes a mockery of the whole system if you ask me. The Stack incident is caught on TV, it's very clear and deliberate so how can they not punish him?
  25. It's just you Ian, sure I seen them getting out the way for everyone else Seriously again IMO most of the plods think they are 'gods' and can act how they like, they should be setting the highest example but seem to do the opposite.....
