could well be true, Green IMO has to sell as it looks like they don't have the finance or desire to take us forward. he's just holding out for as much as he can.
-
it just keeps getting more depressing when you think it's not possible!!! We are due some good news soon surely

Vidmar?..........

A Rumour from FF........... Zeus have offered Walter's consortium half the club for £8m. King flew over to represent the group and say "no, ta." Both Zeus and Green know they cannot finance the club going forward. Green's plans for X level of investment haven't panned out and he accepts he'll have to sell. A major problem is Lloyds. They are refusing to provide banking/overdraft facilities and as yet, we have no bank willing to support us, hence King's 'immediate' need for investment. With no bank and no investment the newco will go into admin. All parties know this. Sorry, but it appears it is actually poker!

and asking the players to walk with him
-
i'm sure there will be a statement soon or there should be, it'll be interesting to see what they say.... can't all supporter groups start again as well, maybe relaunch a new official supporters group with the board voted in by the season ticket holders every year (if there is any ha ha) and this time work together and look towards the best interests of The Rangers instead of getting one up on each other
-
it won't happen universally so i can't see it happening at all, if some fans want to pay that then great but some won't, will you? I will be going wherever we are playing next season but will not renew my season ticket (if i have/need to) until after the vote on july 4th and i think the majority will be the same. the public ticket price will be much lower as well for div3 and as been said before it could go back to paying at the gate as the ground won't be full.
-
I never said that. I don't think many supporters will pay £420+ to watch us play in div3 do you? Our top players will be away and it won't be pretty to watch for years to come.
-
we still need to wait and see what division we are in next season though..
-
Is Walter calling his bluff? I still can't see many fans backing Green and buying season tickets with him there so maybe Smith is hoping after 4th July whatever happens to us Green will see our supporters don't want him and might want to sell? Still it's all very confusing, our fans keep getting let down again and again just when we get a flicker of hope
-
I'm sure if some high earners do stay their contracts will be renegotiated so they are on lower wages, especially if we go down to another league. I can't see them being allowed to stay on those kind of wages at present anyway, we simply can't afford them and they know that.

Sponsors side with Smith as newco loses support

Well lets hope it happens sooner rather than later and gets us on the right road, albeit we still have the SPL plonkers to deal with! I just can't see Green walking away at the first sight of trouble. -

hopefully but at what price, why did they not come in earlier? it just seems one thing after another and never ending! -

I agree with that, I love Walter and would love his consortium to take over but the grief Green is getting is shocking and doesn't deserve it IMO. Either buy it from Green or don't it's not like they never had time before now. -

Again it's a bloody mess from top to bottom with us, why did they not do something earlier? Green was the only one doing something to save us even though he is only in it for the money. If Walter and his group got in earlier wouldn't it have saved everyone a lot of trouble and money? -

They probably even think we won't be allowed to play in Blue

SOCCER starsâ?? wages were last night tipped to hit £350,000 a week after a monster £3billion Premier League TV deal. Sky and BT bagged the rights to live games for three seasons from 2013/14 in a record-breaking agreement. That is almost DOUBLE what the Premier League is getting for the current three-year deal. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/money/4371723/Aces-on-350k-a-week-in-brTV-deal.html The rich just keep getting richer!!!!

I agree without the old firm it would be competitive but I also think it would end up like the Irish or Welsh leagues where there is no real investment from TV or sponsorships, the grounds and training grounds would not be able to be kept up to a good standard as they need investment regularly and the crowds would die eventually except the hardcore but not on the scale we have now IMO. I also think with one team winning the league every year which looks like happening it will be a bit better and end up like Norway or something similar and crowds would be lower as well even for the team winning the league. It's just my opinion but the whole of Scottish football needs revamped and done from school kids up. I took my 7 year old son to a sports thing last night where you can try different sports and the facilities were very poor, the football coaching made me cringe and if this is what they are teaching most of the kids then it's no wonder we are not producing good players, surely we have to take the same approach of other successful countries and start from scratch and change the way we do things in this country but this takes money.
-
I get it they MAY, but IMO they won't with less investment in players and less quality coming through it will be poorer quality even if level playing fields, saying that it can't be much worse than what the SPL has been like for years . Teams couldn't afford to drop ticket prices they may even be higher for watching poor quality football so I can't see more fans coming through as they will still be in the pubs or houses waiting for top quality, more exciting, EPL games to come on TV.
-
I have heard div 2 and div 1 teams are also not happy as they think the div 3 teams will get more money next season from our crowds if we end up there. There will be teams who go up or down who could miss playing us if we do actually get promoted each season. No SKY money means less wages and the better players will go down south or abroad even more than now IMO. Clubs will have less money for facilties, buying decent players or even youth coaching so very very young players also might go down south and we will be left with the rest up here. I can't see more fans going to games with less quality on offer and be interested watching ONE team win the league every year as will happen.

Is there nothing happening from the supporters groups Frankie? Surely we need them all to come as one and do something now or have we left it too late? -
