  1. That made me laugh I am not a fan either, he said if Bolton go up it should still be down him and Freedman should just do what he did to go up!! Freedman said there will be changes right away and he'll do things a lot differently, says it all IMO.
  2. If we want a better passing game we need foreign coaches but also ones who have worked in Scotland, or at least the UK as we don't want another PLG situation. I would love to see Brian Laurup and Arthur Numan back in some capacity as either manager or coaches. Ally has blown his chance IMO, especially for a Rangers legend to take over it must've been a dream for him but his style of football is nothing like the teams he used to play in and even with lesser players than last season I cannot beleive the pish I am watching sometimes. What is wrong in actually attacking teams and playing with more than one striker sometimes!!
  3. well done to our captain on getting a new contract, well deserved

I think it's best and I've been to plenty other derby games but its only my opinion. I'm sure plenty others would say it is one of the biggest and best in the world. I like to sing songs we've sung in the past and do relate to our history, if you don't like it there's not much I can do and won't stop for you or a few other fans sorry. Maybe you can sing louder me to get your point over rather than stay silent and moan on a forum. I like singing the sash as I do every other Saturday at a football game and won't apologise for that. That's it for me on this we're just repeating ourselves and not getting anywhere here.

I never said that did I? They are one of the biggest just ask most fans who have been to one or players who have played in these and others they rate them highly. The atmosphere is driven by 90 minutes of hatred, I have never heard a louder noise at other big derby games I've been to. Most if not all fans I know feel the same way I do' date=' I don't know many who have your views. I don't think the majority of fans want to alienate fans who don't want to sing certain songs but what right do you have to stop it, should we stop traditions because some fans don't like it? I don't think these will go away as too many have views that they like theses songs. You are going to alienate yourself IMO not the other fans. I would say these chants are acceptable to the majority of our own fans, it's mainly ther teams in oScotland who seems to have problems with it. I have every right just as you have to sing or not by the sounds of it, if you don't respect what rangers fans want to sing fair enough but I doubt many will respect you either.

I must've been going to support and watch another team for the last quarter of a century then, sorry but it is and always will be IMO. The old firm derby was the biggest in the world mainly due to religious hatred. BF1 have made some great songs that are about the team only that should please you? but I don't see why the other related songs that been sung for decades especially ones that relate to the team and politics/religion/royal family/UK/NI should disappear because some fans don't like/want them sung. I would say the majority of fans are from a protestant background that support Rangers but I also know lots from other backgrounds or no religious choice support them also which is great. I won't say any more as we're just going round in circles, I respect your choice for not singing/liking certain songs but I wouldn't want certain songs to disappear from Ibrox even if some do and will continue to sing them when I want at the games for years to come.

what a lot of crap gazza, that's even below your usual standard. religion is a big part of Rangers and always will be as will related songs that are sung.

They can't be much of a supporter if they are put of going because of something like this. It was sung for about 1 or 2 minutes tops and they have every right to sing it if they want IMO. I haven't sung songs I don't like or believe in over the years but it certainly hasn't stopped me going and never will. There is better ways to drown out the sound as i've said before and like what has been done to get rid of the add ons to certain songs, other supporters just sing over the top and drown them out, instead of moaning on a forum where nothing will be done about anyones opinion lets be honest. There was no bother at all at the game yet the police and stewards always stand right in front of the BF1 section with stoney faces like they own the place and intimidating supporters. They don't need to do this, a bit of common sense and dare I say lightheartedness would lift the feeling between them in an instant but I can't see that happening anytime soon.
  9. Same as BD said, I don't know any season ticket holder going out of defiance, they are going because they love Rangers and want us back to where we belong asap. I also can't see many paying hundreds of pounds just to make a point but i'm not saying that no one hasn't, I just don't think there's many at all that have.

Christ I've never been called that before, especially from a Rangers fan the rest of the stadium should stand up and drown them out if the don't like it rather than sit on their hands, shut their mouths apart from when they are moaning about the fitness freaks of course

I'm sure some don't watch all the game, me and a few others on here sit there, we join in when we want but we do watch all the game as i'm sure most do. We are lucky IMO to have this section as it would be a graveyard otherwise. I wish other sections of the ground would sing and not just at goals or the start of each half.
  13. but i wonder how many were season tickets who never turned up
  14. it's not enough for some of our OWN fans it seems on here
  15. aye but he got away with it what a surprise, being a pussy and a lightweight must've helped him that night!! total dickhead and average player IMO.
  16. cut their allocation down as it's good to see them squirm when they get stuffed I used to love going to the piggery as it was a great feeling when we got a result but i've not been there for years and doubt I will again for years to come.

I'd say the majority of fans who sing these big bad songs respect or can understand those who don't like them or don't want to sing them, but it sounds like it's not the same respect the other way round. There are lots of different religion/political views/beliefs but just because some don't like it doesn't mean it should disappear or is wrong.

If you don't like it don't sing it, that's what I do or have done. No fan has any right to stop others singing even if they don't agree or like it. I want the billy boys song back but I'm sure some fans are glad it's gone
  19. crowds will stay between 40-45k all season IMO, maybe one or two lower due to the weather and timing of KOs etc. I'm sure some posters said this weeks crowd would be down on the last one but it didn't happen The away game at Queens in December should be a massive crowd as well, another world record probably, give the fans some credit where it's due, great turn out and atmosphere where I was sitting yesterday.
  20. I think we've got more to worry about that what Ally is wearing on the touchline these days. I would prefer the suit and tie but it didn't really bother me what he had on. It worries me the team is playing shite and it needs sorted first and foremost.

I hate Salmond and the SNP and what they are doing, they done fuck all to help us when we needed it and also want to take Scotland out of the UK. Rangers are pretty hated as a Scottish club in Scotland and more hated as a British club in Scotland, it will get much worse if the SNP get in and get their independence (which I don't think/hope they certainly don't). We are a quintessential British club as we promote and our history shows this, most fans love this, why shouldn't we sing about some prat trying to change this as it will if they get in. As has been said it didn't go on for long but I joined in, as I did with other songs which have been sung for decades and I like, I won't stop just to please the minority of fans and why should I. As I said before maybe if the rest of the fans sing up and sing songs they want to hear they wouldn't hear the songs they don't like or maybe the rest of ground would join in with you. Stop moaning and start singing I say

Well done to the BO today keep it going please, if it pisses off a minority of fans who cares I would rather have an atmosphere any day. Nothing wrong with some good old politics and religion songs being sung IMO If fans don't like it get some ear plugs or maybe even better sing some songs you do like and help make the atmosphere even better rather than sit there in silence as usual or just moan
  23. Going to be another great turnout from the supporters today. Even after the shocking result against Stirling we still turn up in our numbers. Lets hope the players give us something to cheer about today!! Looking forward to the atmosphere again it's been great.
  24. I had shares last time which I've obviously lost, but I will hopefully be able to invest again this time, although the minimum is a bit high for a lot of fans i'd say.
  25. I can't think of any club except the tims that actually spent money on transfers this summer and most of these clubs are still struggling big time as is the SPL in general. Teams who are doing well just now probably have better than normal attendances but that usually happens, Hibs are getting about 10k and they're doing very well for them. Teams at the bottom will start to get less and less fans going. Rangers are putting all the SPL teams to shame with their attendances and TV viewing figures
