I wouldn't tell lies about such a touchy subject at the moment m8. Here is the some of the reply I got from the RST. "those who left favoured much closer links with the hierarchy at ibrox, those who didn't felt we should be more demanding and dare I say it, a bit more militant."

RANGERS' move to sign former Hearts striker Andrius Velicka will beat FIFA red tape - by a day. Rules state a player cannot feature for three different teams in a 12-month period but the Lithuanian's deal will comply. Velicka played with the Jambos last term before signing for Norwegian side Viking in February. FIFA regulations for last season stated a player could only feature for two clubs between July 1, 2007 and June 30 this year. If Rangers agree a fee of around £1million and settle personal terms Velicka will be registered at Ibrox after July 1 - making him exempt from the FIFA red tape that blocked Daniel Cousin's move from Ibrox to Fulham in January.

Rangers' Furman disputes link with Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv
johnnyk replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Hopefully what the player has said is true and he is just over there for a holiday. He is just getting invloved in the first team so I doubt he would go there just now. -
My reply from the trust was along the lines that those who left favoured closer links within Ibrox, those who are still there are leaning towards a more militant/demanding regime as has been said on here earlier and are not in favour of the current one.

i'm not having a go at WS here but IMO a stronger manager would drop/rest him or at least take him off when he's not playing well. Obviously PLG didn't take to him or his ways and I'm sure the likes of Souness and others would be the same. IMO we need better than what BF is offering us these days.

I got another reply but again it doesn't say too much. It basically said some members want to be closer to the club, some further away and some who are happy where the RST is now. Also some personal circumstances such as people not getting on and people who feel they have done enough and need a rest. And while letting their members know they will also be letting the 'enemy' know and could be used against them in the future.
-
I agree Frankie and I am waiting for a reply from the RST on this.
-
It's nothing in detail really. "There have been resignations as the people involved felt that they had done as much as they could in their roles. There is nothing sinister in it. We are a voluntary organisation, and as such, other commitments come first. Some were unhappy with their roles in the RST, some didn't like the direction of the RST. It happens in a large group, as I am sure you will agree."

I asked the RST directly and got back a simple reply but not much details. I don't know if I am allowed to post it here though?

of course there is but without a good scouting system we'll never spot any!!

NEWCASTLE UNITED are ready to launch a £6million move for Rangers keeper Allan McGregor. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.2333369.0.0.php

I agree, there are no real stars or players with real quality either I would have as a first team player, maybe a squad player but we've got enough of those. We need some good foreign quality to mix with the players we have already IMO. I would not pay £2m for berra or reynolds ..............
-
Doesn't look very good at all that so many have resigned recently. Will we know more after tonight's meeting or will it all be kept quiet?
-
bit of a nutter IMO, and also thinks he's better than what he actually is.......
-
i was praying this would all fall through but ffs Rangers why waste money on players like KM, we need quality

DAVIE WEIR is set to agree a deal that will keep him at Rangers for another year. The veteran 38-year-old defender was offered an extension by boss Walter Smith at the end of last season. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.2330441.0.0.php

Celtic could be set to pip Rangers and Wolves for Burnley striker kyle Lafferty by using Hoops outcast Derek Riordan as a makeweight to secure the deal. (Daily Record) Andrius Velicka has admitted his is desperate to sign for Rangers as the Ibrox club stepped up their efforts to sign the Lithuanian from Viking Stavanger in a £1m deal. (Daily Record) both from the record so probably a lot of crap

I can't believe they expect people to buy something they've not even seen, another masterclass by Rangers FC..............
