Striker Jean-Claude Darcheville has vowed to stay at Rangers
johnnyk replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
maybe whoever wrote it doesn't count boyd or his goals either m8 -
sure do, he looked good before he came here like many others have!! this guy is meant to be a good prospect but a lot of money again, we need some more experience especially at the back IMO....
-
centre half first but can play defensive midfield role I think m8......

Rangers have rejected inquiries from Aberdeen, Dundee United and Motherwell for forward Alan Gow. (Sunday Mail) Stoke City will this week launch a renewed £1.5m bid to try and lure Lee McCulloch from Rangers. (News of the World)

RANGERS chairman David Murray has offered £9million-rated keeper Allan McGregor a bumper new contract to STAY at Ibrox. Sport of the World can reveal the pair held top secret talks in Edinburgh in the last 48 hours, to keep the highly-rated No1 in Glasgow on a new long-term deal worth around £16,000 a week. http://notw.typepad.com/notw_scotland_sport/

Rangers are also reportedly on the trail of £2.5m-rated Czech defender Marek Suchy. The Ibrox club are keen on the 20-year-old Slavia Prague player, according to press reports in the Czech Republic. Suchy can play in central defence or move into midfield and was voted Most Promising Player last year by UEFA after starring in the Under-20 World Cup. He is under contract until 2010 and Slavia know they can cash in on their player if they sell him this summer. Everton were strongly linked with the player in January, but the move failed to materialise. http://sport.scotsman.com/football/Cardiff-ready-to-test-Rangers39.4210719.jp

that is probably the answer m8 but that doesn't suit some people on here

I hate the disloyalty players have these days for their clubs....birmingham gave faddy a great chance to play every week in the EPL, and bar injury he was but never really done anything special and was inconsistent as usual. now as soon as they get relegated he wants out..... i would never pay the money they would want for him.......
-
agreed m8, and i should know better than to mention his name alongside Boyd.......
-
why waste money on a creative midfielder when we have the great buffel on our books already

scoring goals is not as easy as some people think and this is what boyd does with ease. ok he misses some (and even the ball) but who doesn't? For me a striker should be judged on goals scored firstly. You mentioned somewhere about it being a team game and he's not much of a team player but surely scoring goals from chances the team is making is doing his part, and goals win games do they not? To have a balanced team you need strikers or poachers as you call them to score goals along with workers who can help you create space or set you up. Would you rather have a better all rounder striker who scores less? They might bring more players into play but this doesn't guarantee the others will score more goals either. It's just my opinion but I like 'poachers' as you say or someone who can simply score goals even when he can do nothing the rest of the game which is why I like Boyd. IMO that's is striker. He is 24 and will hopefully improve other parts of his game which need it but only he can do that. Most players don't reach their peak until late 20s IMO so we might not have seen the best of him yet but already his scoring ratio is superb. In a 4-4-2 he must play and start every game IMO....... He would be a great loss to us if he left now......

again gribz buffel had more than enough chances, and as before played well in a handful of them, is that good enough for you?? i still can't find enough good games from him to send you a dvd........he has talent yes loads but simply not suited to scottish football and is one shitebag to say the least......... you slag off boyd first saying he was top scorer in his first 2 seasons but we didn't win a thing then when he virtually wins 2 cups on his own this season he gets no credit but he's just simply pish.....i respect some of your posts but to call our top scorer for the last 3 season pish is one of the worst things i've heard!!!
-
might as well with the amount of stick he takes m8...... if he was foreign he'd be a hero probably.......
-
who's after buffel ?? no one would pay for buffel, if they get him free then that's different!!
-
if you've heard rumours then i'm sure he would've had drug tests as has been said by now.....
-
lets hope so...........
-
i think would miss him big time if he left, we need a poacher/goal scorer at the club and he is the only proven one we have..........

preston....... http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.2354384.0.0.php

don't know what his injury situation is at the moment. no one will go near him with that.....
-
i respect your opinion m8 but i disagree as usual though . there are some good teams in the championship who play some good attacking football, if he went to one them he would do well IMO. A lot of goals I saw scored last season come from either good crosses or penalty box scrambles so he would get lots of chances i'm sure and would score for fun as i think he would with any team who played to his strengths go to the likes of bolton who play a bit like we did last season with only 1 up front and the long ball crap he wouldn't do well, i'd say most bottom half EPL teams try to avoid defeat rather than go to win. if he played for teams who can afford having a player who would just wait for any chance and do not much else then again he would always get a goal for you...you might not rate that type as a good player but i do......
-
you really don't rate boydy m8 do you and don't mention buffel as at least boyd has proved himself here with his goals no matter how bad other parts of his game is :moon:
-
another one with lots of quality but his attitude stinks and after what happened at his last team we should have kept well clear but if we get a good profit it helps a bit! IMO he should never have got near the first team after what he done in the uefa cup semi final. I don't think we will get near £3m for him now £1.5 - £2m tops........
-
don't think gow will be on that much and not a high earner like buffel, if he didn't feel the move was right for him and his family then why should he move, he must like it here and feels he can break into the first team, good luck to him.
