He was awful last season after being player of the year season before. He is IMO far too defensive for the SPL.

but miller and sebo work bloody hard m8 and faddy can show some touches of magic every 10 games or so.

We done not too bad without him last season, challenging on all fronts up to the last day in the league and in 3 cup finals...how did Alloa get on I wasn't following them much? Did the do well? :moon:

I know what you're getting at but I'm sure you could find a few links on youtube for millions of players who have scored great goals, doesn't mean they are good players or would do a job for us. He is probably a decent enough player with potential for someone to pay decent money for him. He has scored 9 goals in 56 games for Sparta, although 8 were in his last 10 games at the end of last season.

We don't seem to be learning from it though!!!

he might be a good player, still young, but we can't just sign anybody just because you or the fans like the look of them.........our management team have probably never heard of some of the names our fans want us to buy.... I think someone mentioned also having a look at Gianni Zuiverloon and he has just signed for West Brom for �£3.2m......

What cousin has been like at his last 2 clubs will be putting bigger teams off IMO, he has ability but again only shows it when he wants which also won't help his case. I can't see a big team buying him so maybe the Championship is the best he can hope for down south!

I agree to an extent but don't see the point in paying money for playing a player who is not in the long term plans and IMO wouldn't improve the team but that's been done to death He should have been released in January so it was bad business from us back then.

it's all about opinions but for me he had his chance in his best position enough to show what he could do and didn't deliver enough, but again that's just my opinion. I'm just glad he's gone and hopefully won't be much of a talking point in the future!!

I thought Buffel was wanting a pay off from us to leave in January which was a reason he didn't go as they couldn't match his wages. The other was Rangers asked for a 'small' fee for him but the team wouldn't pay it. I could be wrong though
