The postponed SPL match between Rangers and Dundee United at Ibrox has been given a new date. United were due to visit Glasgow last Saturday but the game was called off following the death of Tannadice chairman Eddie Thompson. The match will now be played on Tuesday 4 November, with a 1945GMT kick-off. I think Eddie was more player friendly than most chairmans so maybe that's one of the reasons as well? If it was a player or manager certainly call it off but I would not want it called off for anyone else.

I've said before we wouldn't qualify under GB. His decision not to put Boyd on anytime yesterday was bad and to put someone like Iwelumo before him was shocking IMO. I was reading in the paper yesterday about WS and AM getting slagged off for playing defensive football and GB was actually getting praise for trying to play attcking football. I don't see it myself and we're now going backwards after WS and AM got us back on track. It would be best if Boyd went to a team who played to his strengths as we certainly don't or will.

I'm not slagging miller off here but I think when he was right through on goal and it nearly went for a shy sums him up for me. Gets into great positions but IMO his finishing is nowhere near Boyds standard and I think the stats prove that. If you are a striker and confident even if the manager said set up Boyd more than going for it yourself (which I doubt he would say) I'm sure you would shoot more than set someone else up if you are in a great position. He is good at bringing others into play and setting them up, you have to wonder why he is doing that all the time.

Boyd was close to scoring with a header on Sunday, just past the post when he got up well to a rare decent cross. He also won the majority of headers for flick ons that I remeber. If there are no decent balls put in the box how can he score with his head? His other play was pretty poor though and apart from his turn which hit the post (even though it wouldn't have counted it was still a good turn and shot) he didn't offer much else and Miller was by far more effective and deserved a goal and should have had one but for a poor finish when right through. Boyd also seemed to have his slippers on (as Frankie put it at the game) as he was slipping all over the place. Surely Mendes will soon learn never to play a ball too far in front of Boyd and expect him to get it

Well he 'must' know he isn't in WS plans but hasn't asked to get away or be put on the transfer list so he must be happy picking up a good wage for just keeping fit. Others get slated on here for doing the same! He may flourish next to Mendes ot Davis but then again he may not. IMO he would not and it looks like WS has the same opinion. He should have been moved on in the last transfer window but with the French wild card system he can still move just now, here's hoping.

Maybe he's another one that's quite happy picking up the money for doing very little until his contract runs out? Maybe he's not doing enough in training to deserve a first team or squad spot? He was pretty bad last season when he did get a chance IMO. I prefer Thomson to him any day in the midfield and as you said Barry will also be before him when he gets back as will Edu.......

Your opinion m8 and I agree so far but he needs serious help and someone to get his head back together before he can help himself, he will get sectioned again soon I think.

Something needed to be done and this does look a very good starting point IMO. The club could be doing more but maybe they will shock us even more and come out with some more positive statements like the one earlier this week!! I hope the neds keep away from this protest as in your post eariler ...........

I see your point and if he was stinking with drink I very much doubt he would be anywhere near kids to start with. I�m sure other professionals working with him would say this to him and stop him from doing his job before he got near the kids door and if not then why not? And as you say not many would let their kids go with him if any and would obviously complain and rightly so. You've got your views and i've got mine, i think he needs more help that's all just my opinion.

The kids wouldn't be alone with him would they and I'm sure WS would keep him in line. I for one wouldn't have any problem letting someone learn from someone with the talent he had and his banter would be great for the kids as well IMO. He has a illness and needs help or he will keep doing what he is doing, he needs something else to focus on IMO.
