Neil Lennon vents ire after injury to Kris Commons

A couple of belters of quotes from Mr Lemmon As for the "We'll play Hibs again, though" remark.....can that be taken in any other way than a threat??? -
Would it not maybe be a better situation that AIM or NOMAD taking matters into their hands by either appointing directors themselves, or by suspending share trading??? How many Board meetings would there be between now and an AGM??? How many major decisions would the Board be voting on till then??? If adding some of these guys on an interim/temporary basis keeps the stock market happy, then surely that's a good thing.
-
That was pretty much my thinking.....the 2 parties have essentially reached an agreement to finalise the case. IF agreement wasn't reached, criminal charge my well have been raised.
-
Could the current Directors not appoint even some of the requisitioner's suggestions to the board in a purely interim basis, with the appointments being ratified @ the AGM??? We know these guys are ready & willing to take a place on the board immediately.

It is widely known that Dave King has settled his issues with the SA tax people. There are also many, many reports that he plead guilty to approx 41 charges which resulted in a massive fine. My question is.....did these charges result in a criminal prosecution & resulting in a criminal record, or was it simply King effectively agreeing to paying the outstanding monies on 41 separate counts with the remaining charges/claims being dropped???? King has been referred to in many reports as a criminal....how accurate is this description???

Did Malcolm Murray not say the exact same thing (according to leaked emails) a few months ago???

I think a "world class" player could be described as someone who could perform for any team, in any league, anywhere in the world. How often have we seen players play outstanding football only to earn a high-value transfer to Spain/Germany/Italy/England and completely fail to produce the goods??? Yet others move from one club to another, leaving a legacy of legendary proportions behind them.....
-
Probably one of only a few such arguments that would be welcomed these days....
-
Next series of The Apprentice then....someone to recruit Karen Brady...
-
Possibly a slight twist on the original question (sorry...) How many have gone won World Class honours ie World cup medals, Champions league winners etc???
-
Easily done...go for it. Hand in your resignation and come to mutual agreement about not working your notice. You will receive payment in respect of your notice period, whatever that may be.
-
So far, these have all been names that have been reported in the media, which I kinda thought..... everyone has been talking about Frank Blin (originally), the Christian Purslaw.....How many folk had actually heard of either of these 2 before they were mentioned in the media??? I suppose part of my point is that we get told such & such is interested & is a great guy and large number of folk simply follow that, and are convince they are the best thing since sliced bread. On paper it is VERY easy to make someone look like the ideal candidate....
-
Obviously things are a bit up in the air just now, but have you heard any credible rumours on who may now join the board, or who would you like to see on the board???
-
.....he received £75k wages & a one off payment of £300k - why the need to extrapolate that over 12 months??? His annual wage was £300k...not £1.5m. He wasn't getting a £300k handout every 3 months (or at least I hope not....)
-
You've lost me completely...... Mathers ANNUAL SALARY was £300k..... For a 3 month period as CEO, he would have "earned" £75k (300/12=£25k per month, £75k for 3 months) His seattlement fee was worth 1 years wages, which may equate to his notice period on behalf of the club (as Craig states...) Therefore for his role as CEO, Craig Mather received £375k.... As for waiting for the AGM....the only way for that to make any sense would be.....if Mather waited, he would not have received any settlement fee - he jumped ship now for the money!!!
-
That's actually a very valid point....Walter was probably working under stricter financial constraints than Ally is just now......yet still won major trophy's.

That's coz they were all feart they would get done if they sang ANYTHING....

He will have left with a years wages, on top of what he has earned over the past 3 months....so probably about £375 - don't know where your getting the £1.5m from. As for the resigned/sacked debate....I agree with BrahimHemdani. If RIFC were to have sacked Mather outright, they would have to provide concrete evidence that the correct disciplinary procedure was followed, otherwise Mather could sue for wrongful dismissal and potentially walk away with a lot more. Also, very few folk want to have a "sacking" on their CV, therefore you come to the "mutual consent" solution ie. you resign and we'll give you a years wages. If Mater had simply resigned, he would have been due nothing. This then raises the question....what he pushed or "actively encouraged" to leave????

WRT PM/Blue Knights.....it was more to do with the information surrounding their failure. It may be false info/spin et, but during the process we were led to believe that the BK's were in pole position on numerous occasions but failed to take the deal over the finishing line - mainly due to funding issues. He seems to pop his head above the turrets every so often, makes some bold statements then goes quiet/disappears - all talk & little action??? On the plus side, he is somewhat of a known commodity....
-
The main reason that I'm wary of PM is that he sat on the RFC board for several years while the club was up for sale, yet waited until the last minute to table a "fag packet" takeover bid. Add to that the numerous failed attempts by the Blue Knights to gain control, it doesn't really fill you with confidence. However, regardless of what has happened previously he has not gone away & certainly appears to have Rangers best interests @ heart. While I'm not convinced about PM, we could do an awful lot worse!!!
-
The Board of Rangers International now consists of Stockbridge & James Easdale - everyone else is away.... We may see the immediate appointment of the requisitioner's choices....
-
I actually believe that to be the case.....unfortunately, his best wasn't good enough for an entity the size of Rangers.
-
McCoist should take a leaf out of Lemmon's book - he should stick a £12m price tag on McLeod during a few press conferences. He will probably get mocked for his valuation, but it gets out into the real work and the more its mentioned, the closer it becomes to reality!!!

Rangers Board 0 - 1 Requisitioners (Court of Session)

Cara Sulieman @carasulieman 11s Lord Tyre has granted an interim interdict preventing the AGM from going ahead on Oct 24.
