  1. IMHO, This puts Dave King to shame..... Here's a guy who has stepped up and put a formal proposal To the board, in a proper business manner. Hopefully the board will take him up on his offer. It may even prompt king to table an even better offer....
  2. Its not necessarily what you said....it's how implied it though!!!! Everyone uses spin when it suits them. As for trust....I don't trust anyone that's involved - King or the board!!!!
  3. So King wouldn't twist words/be economical with the truth if it suits his goals???
  4. Yet the club say they have received very little communication, and no formal offer or proposal of financial assistance from King.....someone is either lying or being economical with the truth!!!
  5. 1st point of business.....overturn the ECA's belief that Rangers are the same club.
  6. As it stands RIGHT NOW....what right does King have to demand terms??? From what we currently know, he has no stake in the club at all - does he even have a season ticket??? The one thing he does have in his favour is a certain about of influence within the support. Surely a sit down, face to face it what King would want as well - why play "hard ball" (at this stage anyway...)
  7. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the board calling King out in public. So far King has played things through the media. The details of whether King has actually offered financial assistance etc have got somewhat muddied due to conflicting media reports. The board have now issues an undeniable offer - "Lets sit down & talk". I agree that the general wording could have been substantially better, but the message is blunt & too the point. I would like to thing that communications have also been sent privately. The ball is now firmly back in King's court.....What happens if he refuses to meet with the board??? Many on here will still put the blame @ the feet of the board. If King is serious about investing or leading a fans revolt, IMHO, he HAS to attend the meeting. He must show that he is more than a "rabble rouser" & that he has a vision to take the club forward. You never know, the board may buy into that vision......
  8. I think there are 2 words that sum things up perfectly: SQUARE GO!!!!!!!!
  9. A somewhat cheeky response from the SoS.....but a response I really can't find fault with.
  10. Ask the questions, but the answers you want may not be forthcoming.... After the review period is up, there is no hiding place. I (for one...) will be expecting to see a very concise business plan put in place, and a detailed summary presented to the general public with the findings of the review.

  12. That could be a problem....if the current monetary issues are as bad as being made out. Folk are saying we have few enough options up front. While Little is no world beater, he is still a decent goal threat. I would offer a relatively short term deal - absolute max 2yr
  13. Little is a player I'd probably keep, but it all depends on what he's looking for deal-wise - does he want to play for Rangers, or more cash???
  14. Looks like I may be in the minority here....I don't see much wrong with the statement. However, the same applies to GW as it does to Dave King - These are only words.....they need to be backed up with action & hard evidence. The 120-day review may be a resounding success so far, but the fan-base needs evidence of this. They need to see that changes & progress are being made. I think GW needs to publish some interim account info ASAP - in a very clear manner that is easy for your average punter to understand. If GW can then clearly show that he is doing what he says, then it will be a step forward in regaining the supports trust. If he can't provide the proof to back up his claims then there is a very serious issue.
  15. Interesting statement from King.....he says a lot, without saying anything new. We all know that he invested £20m in the old company....yet has absolutely not shareholding in the newco. Has he put any cash into BuyRangers??? Or will he get involved with RangersFirst??? Will he get in touch with Jim MColl/Paul Murray etc??? I think not. There are opportunities for him to get involved, yet he hasn't (yet...). I see this statement as nothing more than rabble rousing. I don't think that it ultimately helps the situation in any great way. Yes, the are questions that need answers, but is Dave King in any position to provide current & reliable FACTS??? It is getting to the point that anyone within the club are in a lose/lose situation. If they say nothing they are hiding something, if they say anything, they are lying. If King wants to be taking seriously, he needs to act rather than talk about acting.
  16. no....it's 15% setup fee on a 6 month loan. Simply doubling the loan term, doesn't automatically double the % of the setup fee!!!! If they were to take out a 2nd 6 month loan on the same terms, then they would be paying a 30% setup fee on £2m. Doubling up the figures only serves to make it sound a lot worse than it possibly is - extrapolating figures for something that doesn't exist only serves to panic folk.
  17. All shares are officially described as "penny shares", regardless of the actual price......
  18. Might just be my basic understanding of how all this works..... ANYONE wanting to invest will want something in return.....If Laxley (or anyone else for that matter..) either want or are requested to input more cash, surely it is only natural that they will want something for it ie shares. Does anyone believe that someone with £1.5m just kicking around would simply give that cash to RFC out of the goodness of their hearts??? If they are receiving shares in return, fair enough....the key will be @ what price will the shares be calculated at - current price or the price at the time of repayment. The fact that the club apparently need this input of cash is slightly worrying. My recollection of Wallace's comment were that it was the mid to long term future that was ok....
  19. That wasn't my recollection of proceedings....but that's been covered to death on other threads previously....
  20. When are the 1/2 yearly accounts due??? Surely they will clarify the position???
  21. If he wasn't guilty of the accusations against him, why did he have to pay a fine or go to jail. He was found guilty of breaching the SA laws & regulation, the punishment of which was a fine or jail. From my recollection/understanding of the case, he was given the choice.
  22. Capone actively avoided paying his tax (amongst other things...), as did King - on that aspect they are similar. Whether King is also in the Concrete shoe market, I wouldn't know....
  23. King was convicted in a court of law in SA. He was given the choice to either pay a hefty fine, or go to jail. Also, is he any less a criminal that The Easdales??? One of whom has a conviction from 10+ years ago, the other with zero convictions, yet they are seen as pure evil, with King & his cash being the messiah (or at worst a very naughty boy....)
  24. While that may be true.....we don't know what King wants in return - he will not be doing it 100% out of the goodness of his heart. King may be demanding things that the Board are not prepared to give him. King has been calling for transparency, yet fans appear to be blinded by his reported wealth & his past investment.....what did he get for his previous investment - a place on the Board as a minimum. He may have the clubs interests @ heart, but he is still a convicted criminal. Remember, there is always 2 sides to every story.....
