  1. I believe there was a leaked version published somewhere.....I have no idea how accurate it is with regard to the final agreement with Mr Letham & Mr Easdale. However, the accuracy is irrelevant to some.....
  2. I have absolutely no objections to questions being asked & answers sought.....I just find it rather hypocritical that they are questioning the state of the clubs bank balance & whether they can afford to repay the loans, while @ the same time actively discouraging fans from inputting cash.
  3. I find it strange that the UoF can express concern over the clubs finances (or lack of), then in the same breath continue to encourage fans not to buy season tickets & therefore depriving the club of funds.....
  4. Get that chap Mols signed!!! He's have a blast in the Championship.
  5. I would put the reduced numbers down to poor product on the pitch & uncertainty over whats gonna happen over the next few months. I believe that the vast majority of those who haven't renewed yet are not really anti-board as such, and neither are they pro-board. They are simply fans who want to follow their team but are holding off parting with their cash until the path forward is a bit clearer. I think we will see an increase in sales just before the season starts.
  6. You probably know more about it than me.....but I don't think it's quite as specific as that. I just see it as many different groups, with different views and ways expressing these views. There are obviously personalities that come into it as well....
  7. From what I understand, the issues between the different fans groups runs a lot deeper than simply back the board or not. These are divisions that have been on going for years and comes down to different opinions/personalities and differing methods of expressing those views. Getting all the groups behind one particular cause will assist in bringing them together temporarily but not long term.....
  8. sending 1000's of unsolicited emails.....SPAM
  9. That is a key point here.....he was threatened with bankruptcy over the FB stuff, then proceeds to do something like this. As I mentioned before - Where is the official threat of action coming from??? Is it from the club or is it personally from Mr Easdale??? IMHO this should be a club matter. If it is coming from Mr Easdale personally, that is wrong and would indicated a personal grievance with Mr Houston.
  10. without a doubt....but lucrative for who??? not the SPFL or Scottish clubs.....
  11. Firstly, I do think it is an effective way to grab their attention. However, This does constitute SPAM & the email addresses of GW & SE should not have been included in the petition. The petition is generating thousands of unsolicited email messages, which is not allowed by law (I believe). If the petition was setup by Mr Houston, then he is the individual responsible for generating the SPAM & the one that will get it in the neck - there is no defence or get out clause or argument as the was with the FB stuff. Applying filters etc does not stop the msgs clogging up the Rangers mail system - which the IT dept have take care of, not Mr Easdale. An important point is....Where is the legal action originating from??? Is it from the real victim of the SPAM - Rangers, or is it a another personal action from Mr Easdale??? I don't believe any personal action would hold up - the emails are not directed personally @ Mr Easdale. However, the club would have a strong case (unless the emails stop...) For the avoidance of doubt, I don't agree with the actions being reported - FROM EITHER SIDE.
  12. We appear to be producing some decent young players - the vast majority not getting through to the 1st team. The big question is: Are they simply not good enough, or is the management team not giving them the chance??? If we had not been in the position we have for the past couple of season, I very much doubt we would have seen McKay, Crawford, Aird or Gallagher...even McLeod would be doubtful (IMHO). McCoist is a buying manager - this has been displayed with the sheer number of player purchases over the past 2 seasons.
  13. Certainly a valid point of reference.....However I still standby my view that at this point it is nothing more than scaremongering - we don't even officially know how many ST have been renewed.....
  14. The deadline that has passed is for guaranteeing your current seat - that is all!!! The statement clearly says this. Renewals are still being processed & transfers being looked at. Providing that sales are still ongoing, I wouldn't see any need for the club to issue financial notifications. Based on your logic, if we expect 45k fans @ A home game and we only get 25k, this is below expectations & causes a change in the financial performance of the company....therefore notifications should be issued. I see this as nothing more than clutching at straws & trying to get "information" into the public domain which serves a particular agenda. I would think that the financial projections will have a cut off date eg. we estimate that 40k ST's will be sold by August 1st. This would be to allow for the open sale of ST's - right now it is just renewals. After this cut-off date, if sales are noticeably below expectations, then notification will be issued.
  15. RE-read it as slowly as possibly.....still fail to see your point. Can folk still renew their tickets - YES. Is there still cash coming into the club - YES. Has the financial situation reached a point where notification need to be issued - I don't think so. Maybe you'd be so good to inform us how the rule you mention (below) has any bearing on not being guaranteed your current seat: The renewal deadline is/was public knowledge. The performance of the business has not been affected (yet). Expectations are down (from unconfirmed reports), but ST are still selling/being renewed. I hardly think it is time to press the panic button just yet. If season ticket sales continue to be poor, and then start to have a possible effect of company performance - then it's time for notifications.
  16. Think your making a mountain outta mole hill here.... The deadline to guarantee your current seat has passed, However, they are still accepting renewals and starting to look @ transfers. Why would they need to issue financial notifications??? Tickets are still selling.....
  17. I haven't seen any reason stated so far as to why Deep-pockets Dave couldn't buy MP..... I think it would be a perfect investment opportunity for him. As others have said the cash would go straight into the RFC coffers, and it would give DK full control over the facility. As for the rent....he's a Rangers man, he wouldn't be looking to turn a profit on it (would he???). He would be doing it for the long term good of the club. The one downside is that I would expect DK to have to pay over the odds for the facility - The current owners are likely to try & get as much for it as possible (as any seller would) - a fee of about £10m, I think would cover it. DK could also make an offer for Edmison house - I'm sure he would have the funds to renovate it into a more useful asset. Again, I would imagine the fee would be over the odds - maybe around the £5m mark. Total investment by DK - £15m, and he has total ownership of key RFC "assets". He has also directly helped the club by £15m. Also the assets are then held by an "approved & trusted" Rangers man (who would in no way try to turn a profit)
  18. Nae chance of that happening....but it could be an angle that DK could use - offer them a generous price, with good rental price.
  19. IF the board are looking to sell MP.....maybe Deep Pockets Dave could buy it, then gift it to a fans group....
  20. I don't think it will look exactly like the top - unlikely to be Nike for a start. However, I do like the idea, and the mock-up looks excellent.....
  21. There is a "image for illustration purposes" disclaimer...... Buyer beware springs to mind - you may not get exactly what you expect!!!!
  22. How many actually responded to the poll - what % is that of the RST??? I think the figures are probably misleading, but the message is probably reasonably accurate.
  23. not 100% true though.... If only 15,000 renew it is definitely a vote of no confidence, but to simply say it is in the board or ownership is pushing it IMHO. There will probably be a very large number who simply find the "entertainment" in front of them boring & deem not worthy of their ST money.
