  1. Ok, so a wee bit further reading on a link that was previously provided by Rangersitis: http://www.thelawyer.com/full-extent-of-rangers-fc-claims-against-collyer-bristow-laid-bare/1012303.article The above article states the reasons for the action (1st bold section). The value pursued was based on the option for a share issue & how much it could have raised (2nd bold section).
  2. Again, I will quote the following from the "settlement" thread http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?64203-Rangers-Creditors-Win-%A324m-Settlement-from-Law-Firm: Based on the information above, how does that relate to loosing £25m by not accepting P Murray's proposal??? CB were sued because THEY failed to do their job & cost the club money!!!! Please, someone, provide clear & concise proof that the £24m was for not effectively not accepting the P Murray proposal. FS has shown that CB were being pursued for £25m.....there must be something to show exactly what the £25 was for....
  3. The owner of the club had a choice - CW's offer or PM/Boards re-capitalisation.....SDM opted for the CW offer. CB then failed in many of their obligations with one of the main culprits being Gary Whithey - Whithey & Whyte effectively conned the club out of millions. CB were the legal entity responsible for carrying out the actions of CW. If I have the choice of buying 2 cars, and the one I opt for breaks down, I don't complain because the other car wouldn't have broken down. I complain because the car I did buy was duff & get the seller/manufacturer to rectify the situation - it has nothing to do with the other car & how good it may have been. Paul Murray was a director of our club, that proposed a last minute share issue in order to prevent the sale to CW - why was this not proposed months previous??? P Murray then went on to have several other failed attempts to gain control of the club. His latest attempt @ the AGM failed AGAIN....maybe he has just decided enough is enough.
  4. OK, so the CW offer persuaded the board not to have a share offer - the point still remains that SDM CHOSE CW's offer....how can you sue someone because you made a bad decision? CB are being sued because they were complicit in a conspiracy/plan to renage on their financial obligations etc. P Murrays involvement is that he & the rest of the board waited till the 11th hour before proposing their share issue idea - why was the £25m share issue not put into place months before hand?
  5. From the other thread about the £24m settlement.... No mention of P Murray....
  6. Your quoted info only states that Murray tabled an alternative offer. SDM opted to take the £27.5m offered by CW as opposed to the potential £25m from pmurray. How can you sue someone because a wrong decision was made? CB were being pursued because they did do things correctly & were negligent.
  7. Could someone explain & include evidence, exactly what the CB stuff has to do with P Murray. I thought it was due to CB being just as crooked as CW, and being complicit in an illegal purchase of RFC, and also for missing funds inc. if I recall the money from the Arsenal shares which was facilitated through CB but never found its way to RFC..... P Murray was not involved in any official capacity....
  8. Yes we won the games - as the tables show, but there were a good few teams that really made us work for the win (or the draw in some cases...). Teams are coming to Ibrox, confident that they can take points, rather than how many their keeper will pick out the net. Ultimately we have made it difficult for ourselves by having a poor manager.
  9. This happens with ANY organisation/club that kids attend - pushy parents!!!
  10. Where as McCoist has us in a "street brawl" every week against teams that should be greatly inferior.....
  11. If organised/directed/coached correctly - YES. We have good players in the ranks, but the current coaching team & strategy are not getting the most out of these players. Dean Shiels for example, was nominated for SPFA player of the year (along with Jon Daly), then joined us & has largely been disappointing. I believe there is a crackin' wee player in Barrie McKay...if only the coaching staff can draw it out. Same with Temps - hasn't progressed at all (while fit). Nicky Clark, scores a barrel load of goals for QoS, then struggles to get near the starting 11.
  12. I think there are options for the defence - I've always thought Faure has done well @ CB & could be a good shout beside Zaliukas. McGregor, I don't know anything about. Mohsni, is erratic & not as good a player as he thinks he is. McCulloch ain't no Davie Weir & shouldn't be on the pitch. 100% agree about the manager/coaching staff.
  13. I'm fairly happy with the team at present - on paper at least. We have the potential to be a good team, if it can all be pulled together properly. I actually don't believe that Ceptic have better players than us, but they are more structured & organised. If we can get that sorted out, I think we would be a force to be reckoned with.
  14. Some folk are never happy. Folk were shouting about having fan representation etc....now it would appear that its gonna happen, and yet folk aren't happy. What EXACTLY do folk want???
  15. I would expect that the full remit of the Fans board will be published in due course. If the main board want fans to get behind this, they need to know what its going to do & how its going to do it. Ultimately, will this fans board have any representation on the Main board of the company??? Clear & concise lines of communication must be details & adhered to for this to work. In theory it is a step in the right direction.....
  16. bit early for that is it not....can we not at least get Halloween out the way first
  17. How do we know that isn't the case with the current Chairman (or any other board member)??? MM came under the same criticism that David Somers & Graham Wallace are receiving - not fit for the job, no corporate governance, earns too much money, nothing but a sp*v etc etc.......but that appears to be fine now because MM was actually fighting the good fight from inside. The fact remains that MM was in a position of power within the club - he was Chairman - yet he didn't appear to do his job any better than anyone else. IMHO, he is not in a position to be criticising how anyone else does the job that he used to hold.
  18. I'm in the Never say Never camp.... One thing I do know for sure, if we ever get another like Laudrup, he wouldn't be staying for 4years - we'd maybe get a season out of them before they moved on to a bigger/more money club.
  19. Agree 100%....MM was an integral part of the problem - he was chairman!!! He was appointed by the same people that have appointed the current board members. His tenure wasn't exactly sweetness & light!!!
  20. I don't see the problem with this gesture - your always gonna get someone who says what about xxx or yyy Jardine played for the club for 17 years, making 451 appearances. He then worked behind the scenes at the club for many years. His influence & presence during the past few years - arguably the most difficult in the clubs history - has been a major factor in the club surviving. He gave the fans an element of hope that the club would make it through the difficult times. Compare that to John Grieg.....who resigned after CW's takeover, and hasn't been heard from since. I think this is a fitting tribute to a man who had a passion for this club right up until his last breath.
  21. Makes sense..... I'm just going on the train of thought that would be some VERY fast cash for him...approx £370k
  22. Certainly looks like something happening - my best guess is Stockbridge dumping his "bonus" shares for a tidy profit.
  23. I think it looks OK...Could be worse, could be better. The wee collar & buttons looks a bit crappy....
