  1. sooooo, MASH have already had their nominations appointed to the Board, and now SD can nominate 2 directors. There is also no mention that MASH's appointed directors will have to stand down in favour of SD's nominations. Therefore MA could have 4 people on the board doing his bidding....
  2. That is something that has annoyed me as well...he'll throw a few comments/statements about then go silent for months. However, credit where its due, he has stepped up & purchased a significant volume of shares & put himself in a very strong position for the EGM....
  3. All he needs to do is layout an achievable roadmap - we don't need specifics at this point. All we are looking for is a positive way forward & a vision of the future. Obviously any plans are cash dependent & he won't be able to get a full handle on that until he is in the door, however there is nothing stopping him outlining his general plans & providing as much detail as he possibly can. By doing this it should encourage some of the long term investors that DK's path is the right way forward & back his proposals @ the EGM
  4. I actually think it is vital to DK gaining power....he needs to create a massive wave of support, which can influence other shareholders.
  5. Ashley COULD be good for us if the focus was on improving the team/club.....however, MA's focus is 100% on MA & Sports direct. Being the 293rd riches man in the world, he obviously has the finances to rival many of the big English clubs, but he ain't about to "gift" us £100m+ to improve things.
  6. Can we not just hire the clipboard???
  7. On paper, I feel our team looks good & capable of competing with ANYONE in Scotland. On the pitch is a completely different matter though. I honestly believe that our playing personnel is irrelevant....we could have Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi & Iniesta lining up for us and still be rank rotten. The problem is on the training pitch. I don't know what is happening @ MP, but NO-ONE is developing or improving. When was the last time we put a good ball into the opposition's box??? One that gave the opposition's defence some serious problems??? When was the last time we actually had a player who caused any concern to the opposition when lining up a set piece??? The opposition know exactly how we are going to play & setup accordingly. We need pace, drive and the ability to pass to each other. We need players who are hungry to play & impress. We need players who actually do their jobs!!!
  8. What are the boards short, medium & long term plans with regards to finance & investment?? How does Mike Ashley figure in these plans??? Why was there apparently no meaningful contact/negotiations with Robert Sarver??? How does the board intend to improve the on-field team quality?? What plans do the board have for encouraging the fans back to Ibrox???
  9. Is anyone gonna admit to picking oor "team"....
  10. in a nutshell - It would cost too much to find out how much it cost.
  11. But RF is not a "Fan Group".....it is a Community company that currently hold approx 1% share in RIFC. Note: it is not BR (which is a money raising/share purchasing vehicle) that are issuing statements....it is the RST - the "Fan Group"
  12. I see the 2 groups as completely different.... The RST is a supporters club, who happen to run a scheme for buying shares. RF is a community company setup for the sole purpose of buying shares in a particular entity - RIFC. At present the volume of shares acquired does not give the RF company a significant voice.
  13. Tell the unwashed hoards that the only way to check is to set it alight - if it burns, it fails!!!
  14. 100% agree.....I don't think the fact that Easdale controls a 26% share of the vote is accidental - gives them the power to veto ANY major shareholder decision. However, the fact that King/3Bears now directly control approx 30%, this works in their favour as well - Easdale can't force through stuff either.

    Why???

on the flip side.....if he was 100% open about his plans/intentions, the SFA may alter their 9% ruling - I believe it is at the discretion of the SFA.

    Why???

I'm sure I read somewhere that over the past year (??) the RFC merchandise pulled in more cash than the Newcastle stuff - and that is with a substantial number of fans refusing to buy kits etc. Imagine what it would be like if we were doing well - winning SPFL, challenging in Europe etc...

    Why???

Rangers merchandise has the potential to make MA/SD a steady fortune, if he got the fans back on side. If he came out & said "I want the club, and I want to take it back to the top. In order to do that I will invest £xxx over the next yyy seasons & build a proper structure moving forward.", then actually carried out his plans, I'm pretty sure he would get the fans back on board & therefore get them spending their blue pounds in his shops - he gets loads of profit, we get a proper club back.
  18. In the grand scheme of things, the RFB statement will have little impact on the board - they are simply not interested. If the RFB resign en-mass, it suits the board......they just don't replace them. If the Board disband the RFB....nothing lost What the statement does do, is highlights the point that no-one supports the board. If this then gets picked up by the main stream media, then the effect ripples out. All in, I think it is an excellent move by the RFB.

    Why???

Been trying to get my head round things for a while now..... Exactly what influence does Mike Ashley have over the current board??? Recently, we have seen investment proposals from King, Sarver & 3Bears all knocked back in favour of offerings from MA, which have been very heavily weighted in favour of the lender. What interest does MA have in the club??? Personally I think he wants to control the merchandise. However, if he turns the fans against him (as he has), no-one will buy the stuff he's selling, so where's the benefit??? MA has been told that he can't own any more shares by the SFA, therefore he can't invest directly into the club. Any money will come in the way of loans, therefore increasing debt - debt that will be more difficult to repay since SD now control 75% of the retail channel. Couple that with the reduced attendance etc & cash flow is severely impacted. Has MA been the one really pulling the strings all along??? Was he the main force behind Chuckles?? Could he be the Easdales true puppet-master??? To me nothing about MA's involvement makes sense. He is a very successful businessman - no-one can argue that - but the way things are being run @ Rangers, it's as if people want it to fail!!! The Board etc appear to be trying their best to drive the fans/customers away.
  20. 2 different mates???
  21. With Share prices trading at a 52 week high, there may be some folk cutting their losses...
  22. In comparison.....I've NEVER seen any Canadian league or results published in ANY UK news paper.....
  23. Been over 150,000 shares bought today along. Been a number of fairly sizeable trades 20k+ over the past few days as well. Hopefully the good guys increasing their holdings. Don't think there are any notification thresholds, except the 30% one....
  24. Would be VERY interesting if 3B's published their exact proposal. That could prove beyond ANY doubt that the board are not acting in the best interests of the company/club.....
  25. I may be wrong...but, If an asset is provided as security against a loan & the loan is defaulted, then the asset is sold in order to repay the debt. However, with the floating or fixed charge over the assets, in the event of insolvency I believe these then become the property of the one with the charge ie. Ashley could effectively get ALL our assets - EVERYTHING for £2m
