  1. A high wage bill does not equal a good team. We have the 2nd highest wage bill in Scotland, do we have the 2nd best team? Its more about getting the right players at the right price....
  2. Thought that was the big worry if King wins???? Maybe he has "officially" won???
  3. definitely....it's all well & good beavering away in the background, but the fans MUST see some kind of progress happening....
  4. Progress will be slow.....we need to re-learn how to walk, before we run. DK needs to put together a solid infrastructure that will support a successful 1st team. It will take time to ensure the right people are in place. Providing there are signs of progress/improvement, folk will be happy.
  5. The key thing is time.... WE need to take the time & do things properly - making rash or quick purchases of players will lead to inflated wages/contract terms for mediocre players. The building blocks must be put in place in the right order: - get the backroom/coaching staff in place - get some sort of scouting on the go, looking for players that fit with the coaching staff's criteria - build the team with players that are hungry to play & impress - hit the top league with a much more robust structure & team, ready to take on anyone without fear. Simply bringing in a string of new players is not the best way forward - look at the players McCoist brought in on short notice. On paper most were decent signing, but little though went into how to play them.
  6. That's VERY optimistic, given the quality of our playing over the past few years.....we'd be lucky to make the top 6 IMHO. The WHOLE setup needs completely gutted. If the result of that is another season in the Championship, then so be it. No-one wants to be here, but it may be better in the long run.....
  7. I would suggest they should be Beverage & refreshment Executives - put them in charge of the ACTUAL biscuit tin!!!!
  8. Ok....We'll give you that one. However, if that is the best that you have to shout about, it's a VERY sad reflection of your time in charge. Yes, Mr Somers & co, you did prevent the club going under, but the means in which you "achieved" that were arguably not the best - increasing debt, securing relatively small loans against major assets, reducing club revenue streams, driving the fans away from the club they love......yeah, major success there!!! If you were doing such a wonderful job......why did everyone want you out???
  9. Sandy Easdale is NOT on the PLC board - due to his fraud conviction. He only sits on the Football board, which I believe is under the full control of the PLC board.
  10. Has no-one told them about this new=fangled thing called t'internet??? They have tried to be VERY economical with the facts (I'm being generous...) in an attempt to make Llambias' CV read an awful lot more positive than it is, even though his CV isn't too bad to begin with. Stick to the proper facts & everything is fine....
  11. Personally, I would rather see any immediate funds from DK being used to completely clear out the cancer/dead wood from the club - it would be worth it in the long run. The rebuilding of the football side of things will take plenty money, but it will also take time.....
  12. From memory, SD/MASH's agreement stipulated the right to PROPOSE 2 board members. With the current board, that is as good as Ashley/SD appointing them directly to the board. However, under a new board, it won't be the case. I would be surprised is SD/MASH even bothered trying TBH...
  13. Surely that should be grounds for bringing the game into disrepute???
  14. Ashley doesn't have the power or the option to place folk on the board.....he has the option to PROPOSE folk. If the sitting board don't approve the proposal, there is nothing he can do.
  15. not yet....There is no room for complacency.
  16. While DK's statement doesn't tell us anything new, the recognition of the fans groups will only bolter his position.
  17. I believe if Capita receive more than 51% in support of the resolutions, then they will inform the board and advise that the meeting is not required.
  18. He doesn't have to....but I think it would be VERY advantageous if he did. The current board have shown no future planning, yet are calling out DK on his plans.....a short statement clearly & concisely (as possible) answering the boards questions would work wonders for him with the fans and other shareholders.

  20. That really made me chuckle.... Obviously the current board truly believe that they are running things well & have a handle on the finances. How much ongoing INVESTMENT have they brought into the club - they are giving away some of our most needed revenue streams in order to provide quick, short-term fixes. Where is their long term strategy???? What are their plans for the club when they booted out of AIM for malpractice??? I think it would be good for DK to reply to the statement with clear concise answers - show the board that their petty "threats" won't have any effect, and that he indeed has a short, medium & long term plan which included an overview of his financial plans. It would also show the fans/shareholders, that DK is confident of his position & that he is not adverse to communicating with the fan/shareholder base.
  21. It's certainly dated today....but King's shareholding is unchanged from the amount on the RFC website. The announcement is delayed from 11th Feb - long time after King acquired his shares.....
  22. According to the RFC website, King is listed with approx 14.5%, with artemis on just shy of 10% & Milton just shy of 5% http://www.rangersinternationalfootballclub.com/share-information
  23. Stock market announcement that Artemis & Milton no longer have any shares in RIFC.... The amounts to approx 15% shareholding - any indications of who maybe bought them up??? http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail/12249905.html
  24. I believe the shortlist was: 1. Everyone else 2. Ally McCoist
  25. The fact that we didn't with Black, has essentially set the precedence & we can't sack him.
