  1. If they are bringing in another cup, they should change the Champions league to ONLY include league champs from the member leagues - NO 2nd, 3rd, 4th place teams.
  2. Simply put.....SD are under no obligation to change the current deal - especially if it benefits them. Things may change depending on the outcome of the various ongoing court cases, but for now, all DK can really do is try & persuade SD to change the contract.
  3. Heard last night that Ian Black has finally found himself another club - the mighty Shrewsbury Town!!!!
  4. he also has rights over certain badges/logos I believe, and possibly other merchandise related items.
  5. There is a line of thinking that the way the team are currently playing maybe less physically draining than previous seasons. We are generally in control of the ball for large periods of the match - the players are not chasing things, or running about like headless chickens. Everything is done in a controlled manner. This should make it less tiring for the players - the opposition are doing a helluva lot more work.
  6. Allegedly, after Rangers requested the release of Hardie, the SFA approached RR to see if they wanted their player released - they declined the offer.
  7. I assumed you have informed RTV of your thoughts.....
  8. Have RR requested their player to return home????
  9. The main squad does look VERY lean....but there are also the youth players that will be available if required. I'm sure MW has looked at the youngsters & presumably thought that they will be good enough to provide cover if required.
  10. If we weren't found guilty of anything....what did we appeal. HMRC deemed (ie. found us guilty), that we had breeched the rules on EBT use & issued a fine accordingly. There was no court case or tribunal, coz one wasn't needed. We appealed HMRC's ruling/fine & won. HMRC have appealed that decision & lost. (I may have either added an extra HMRC appeal or I am foretelling the outcome....)
  11. Unless I'm mistaken, we were initially found GUILTY of the BTC.... We then appealed & won. HMRC then appealed and lost HMRC then appealed again and lost
  12. @ 6'3", he's no midget either.....
  13. That's what made him a top striker.....at the moment we have a whole team playing & scoring like that. 30 goals (so far), and not one of them a header.....so why the need for a big target man??? We are no longer lumping high balls into the box, hoping that someone gets on the end of it.
  14. Hately was excellent at the time, however the team has finally evolved. We don't need a big, tall, physical centre forward....we are scoring goals from all through the team - this alone will scare the opposition....how do you eliminate the threat, when you don't know where it's coming from. The teams movement, pace & vision at the moment makes it VERY difficult for the opposition. Stick a "big lump" up front & it's a clear indicator of the primary route to goal.
  15. Why???? The fact that goals are coming thick & fast from all through the team will be enough to scare our rivals.
  16. I thought Vukic was excellent for us last season, and under "normal" circumstance would have loved to have seen him back. However, we are not experiencing "normal" circumstances. The team is playing some excellent stuff, and I can't see Vukic bringing much more to the table. If he was a free agent, then definitely, but not for £450k.
  17. Always felt it was Vlad Wiess' biggest problem - wanted to be amazing every time he got the ball. Oduwa appears different though.....he looks like he will learn when to turn on the style & when to play the "boring" short pass etc.....he is definitely one to watch.
  18. I think McKay is really relishing MW's style of play - he has looked a completely different player. Oduwa, I like the look of as well....however, I think he needs to "calm down" a wee bit - he appears a bit too eager to be amazing/impressive every chance he gets. I do think the more game time he gets, he will be "calmer" & more comfortable as to when to turn on the style & when to keep it simple. The fact that he appears to have the ability to do both is a massive positive.
  19. Is it not (in some cases) the councils that own the stadium & lease (long term presumably) it to the clubs. That being the case, the Council can invest as much as they want into THEIR asset. I believe this has been a factor in the increase of synthetic pitches - it allows the councils & communities to get more use of the facility.
  20. Tav.......
  21. Rangers v Livi
  22. With that figure alone, you can see Stubbs' point... As for the wages, I really don't think these guys will be on amazingly high wages - maybe a similar level to hibs highest paid players....but we do have much higher revenue than Hibs...
  23. It would actually be very interesting to see some (Official) cost comparisons between the 2 clubs. We have brought in a lot of new players, but at what cost??? Have we actually paid a transfer fee for ANY of them??? Then it comes down to wages. RFC is a considerably bigger club than Hibs, therefore they bring in considerably more revenue & can afford to pay higher wages - is that "unfair"???? Nobody could say that MW has gone out on a massive spending spree.....what he has done it signed wisely. He has brought in young, hungry players, who are most likely on VERY reasonable wages & turned them into a good team. Nothing but sour grapes & mind games from Stubbs.
  24. Loan players are VERY common everywhere. If a youth player is good enough, he will get his chance - MW has already stated this. Obviously MW believes that those he has brought in on loan are better than what we already have - at the moment.
  25. Would certainly be interesting to see how he performs within a team that is playing well....
