    Mr Warburton

I don't think MW will allow them to switch off. His mentality has always been about "the next game" - doesn't matter if there are 2, 3 or 23 games to follow it....just focus on the NEXT game.
  2. Kerrydale st is not a happy place at the moment...:giruy:
  3. Can't argue too much with McKay for MoM....personally I thought it was Halliday!!! Thought he was excellent - was a rock in MF & kept going all game. McKay was also outstanding.... Always a threat going forward.
  4. The whole Scotland squad needs a complete shake up. We have a good amount of young talent in Scotland who are doing very well @ club level, yet the likes of Brown, Whittaker, Hutton, Fletcher, Maloney & a bunch of others I've never heard of keep getting games. It's time to start picking the players who are actually playing well at the moment, rather than those who played well 5 years ago.
  5. Has Sutton actually see both teams playing recently???? Ceptic are absolutely dire, they are dropping points all over the shop, while commanding a health 1 point lead (4 if they win their game in hand) at the top of the table. Whereas RFC only have a ropey 12 point lead (15 if they win their game in hand). Attendance at the last Ceptic game was less than 15k, with many fans seriously unhappy @ Delia. Where as we are riding a wave, playing well, getting massive crowds & a support that are enjoying watching their team play. Based on the above.....There is only one managers position on a shoogly peg if their team loses.....and it ain't the manager wi a Magic Hat!!!!
  6. Having tried to read the "article" I still have no clue what the hell it's about. One thing did become clear though....the is a lot of "may or may not" type phrases used.
  7. Totally agree.... I think there needs to be a slight change of focus from many fans - the most important thing is the TEAM, not an individual. The Team is required to play in a certain manner, so introducing an highly skilled individual/"lone wolf" type player may not work due to an inability to link with team mates.
  8. I think the main driver in this is the amount of clout that TV has over the English game. there is a strong possibility that the Arsenal match may command more revenue than the other matches. TV companies pay absolute peanuts to the Scottish game, so the above won't be an issue for them, regardless of who's playing.
  9. The SFA did transfer our membership - that is one of the main points that proves we are the same club. It was the SPL clubs vote not to transfer the clubs share in the SPL that caused the problems - we were effectively kicked out the SPL. Due to not being relegated, we couldn't then drop into the 1st Division etc....
  10. I think, If we start with a good high tempo and press them constantly.....it will allow us to assume control of the match without Dundee really getting a look in.
  11. That is just a blatant lie......from memory MW stated that the injury wasn't HELPED by the surface @ Killie - not that it was caused by the surface.
  12. True...but a complaint to the SFA & A rap on the knuckles for Harkins would certainly help prevent the comments in the future. It would also provide further endorsement from the governing body about the clubs history/stature.
  13. http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/martyn-waghorn-injury-update/ Thursday, 18 February 2016, 14:00 by Rangers Football Club THE KNEE injury Martyn Waghorn sustained in Tuesday night’s Scottish Cup win over Kilmarnock is not as bad as was first feared. Martyn suffered the injury in the challenge that saw Rangers win their early penalty and although he recovered enough to score from the spot, he could not continue. The initial impact on an unforgiving Rugby Park surface resulted in bruising and lacerations which were immediately visible. However, thankfully the scan has revealed there will be no need for surgery, although Martyn will be sidelined for a number of weeks. His rehabilitation will be expertly managed by the medical team and we look forward to welcoming him back sooner rather than later.
  14. That really made me laugh....talking about fixations, yet only a few lines previous, they have this: Obviously monitoring various/multiple RFC releated media outlets/social media etc. If that's not fixated, I don't know what is!!!!
  15. Tired??? seriously..... Possibly opening up an age-old topic, but these guys are supposed to be Professionals/Athletes. Waggy has played approx 30 games since August - maybe a little over 1 game a week on average. Then factor in training, which isn't the same slog that it used to be - it's more about teasing limits and maintaining fitness level. There's guys out there playing 3-4 games a week (of varying game sizes), all while holding down full time jobs. For Pros to be classed as Tired is a joke (IMHO)
  16. Last I remember it was Neil Lemmon that said similar - didn't work too well for him though
  17. How does MW's plan change things??? We all know he likes to have a lean squad, with players fighting for their places. I would also like to think that he has assessed ALL the players that he has available & decided that there is sufficient quality there to cover any injuries or suspensions. Or should we go back to the days where we have a very large squad, on heft wages, with 1/2 of them hardly ever kicking a ball.
  18. The Jan window is always poor for trades/purchases - no-one wants to let their "prized" assets go at a potentially crucial part of the season. I think we appear to have done some decent business. We'll obviously need to wait to see about the Acrington boys, but I think the addition of O'Hallaran & Forrester will certainly help boost the squad. The new keeper, I'm not fussed about.....chances are we won't really see him play.
  19. IMHO, the value of the players doesn't dictate the level of other income 0 it's how they perform on the park. So far this season, the product on the park has been very much improved over recent years. This in itself brings punters/money back into the club - folk happy to pay to be entertained again. Bringing in a high value player will peak interest initially, but will not keep the punters coming through the turnstyles over an extended period.
  20. Take the O'Hallaran signing.....where is all the info coming from??? It certainly ain't MW or Ibrox. It is all coming from St Johnstone & pundits "in the know". The truth being that the pundits probably know nothing about what is going on behind the scenes, St J. are putting out spin, making RFC look bad - that we are dragging our heals, or have no money. The media then jump on this & it becomes gospel. Does ANYONE outside of MW & a few folk within Ibrox actually know the signing priorities???? How do the media know that O'Hallaran is a top priority - MW ain't saying that. A little less paranoia & belief in media/pundits would go a long way with some fans.
  21. MW's just over 6 months into a 3 year (??) contract. He has done very well so far, but he hasn't achieved the main goals that have been set ie. win promotion. No new contract should be even though about until he at least achieves that main goal.
  22. Just think what he could have been doing....if he had stayed!!!
  23. Some supporters (of all teams) are doing their best to help them though...... Is it REALLY so hard to go to a game of football & behave??? The vast majority of fans can do this no bother!!!
  24. didn't mention specifically.....more just that they were still working on a couple of deals.
