  1. On the plus side..... it was Ceptics best attacking move all night & the closest they actually got to MBappe.....:roflmao:
  2. I've heard Shug say this several times...maybe he should be "encourage" to provide some evidence of his claims..... I don't doubt that the LEGAL ebt scheme certainly encouraged players to sign, but as far as I'm aware there is zero evidence to prove that a-none of these players would have signed without an ebt, and b-other options couldn't have been tabled to ensure their signature. "Would you have signed without an EBT"....."No" "Would you have signed for an extra £1000 per week...."Yes"
  3. ....and therein lies the root of the problem IMHO. This has nothing to do with "Irish roots" - it's nothing to do with Ireland, where people are from or how clubs are started....until that is, certain faction decide to bring it into the mix. Next thing will be that EBT were sectarian (which we'll get done for!!!)
  4. Does the question matter....he'll give the answer he wants to give regardless of the question.
  5. I hope Neymar ain't getting too comfy with his "most expensive player" title....coz if Dumbell scores against PSG tomorrow night, he'll be values in the Scottish press of upwards of £250m...
  6. going by recent years the following would probably be accurate: If he was a Ceptic player - £20-30m, with multiple offers already received, but rejected coz they don't need the cash With Rangers - £750k with everyone being telt it's a cracking deal & we need the money.
  7. Deliberate attempt to put focus onto Bruno, and raise awareness that he's had red cards in the past.
  8. Would like to see Herrera up front with Morelos.....He should be in confident mood after bagging his 1st goal, I'd try to keep that momentum.
  9. Listening to Clyde SSB last night was interesting - Chris Miller?? (St J Player) was on & talking about MOH. Pretty much all the talk was about how wrong it was of PC to make those type of comments, nothing wrong with MOH's!!! They completely ignored the fact that 3 Rangers managers didn't play him - including the manager that signed him. Stated that he didn't get a decent run of games, but didn't discuss WHY that was the case Seemed to ignore that fact that journo's ask specific questions & can be quite relentless until they get an answer - PC didn't just randomly comment on MOH's position at the club. Essentially PC=Bad, MOH=Good......
  10. Poor show from MOH.....bottom line is, he's still a Rangers player, he's just on loan. His comments will ensure that regardless of the performances he puts in between now & Jan, he will NEVER wear a Gers shirt again. VERY unprofessional IMHO. The fact that PC never played him should have got MOH's alarm bells ringing - his response should either have been try & force into the team or get out the door. From what we know/have seen, neither happened. As for the communication thing...I think PC comes across VERY well & if MOH struggled to understand him, he either needs to listen more closely or discuss privately with the manager. TBH, There's some managers out there, with English as their sole language that are harder to understand than PC. Maybe MOH simply didn't understand what PC was trying to tell him - something I think was a big factor last season when PC took over. PC was trying to be technical, but it was way over many of the players heads. The last sentence on the the back page - "Hoping to use is spell back in Perth, to prove he is capable of...." would lead you to believe that he was wanting to show PC what he was capable of (can't read the rest of the sentence), however, he SHOULD have been doing that on a daily basis on the training pitch. The fact that he rarely even made the bench would indicate that his training performances were not forcing PC to make a decision on whether to play him or not. Also, his comments have totally blown ANY chance of pulling on a Gers top again.
  11. Hit the nail on the head!!!! Regardless of how we performed last season, Ceptic dropped VERY few points over the course. We lost 9 games & drew 10 - that's where we lost the league....those 10 draws cost us 20 points (without being defeated). The (alleged 2nd best team in Scotland lost 10 & drew 4), yet no-one appears to go on about the points gap between them & Ceptic!!!! This season, the OF games will take care of themselves - the real focus has to be on all the other games. We must pick up a helluva lot more points from them & we will be much closer.
  12. This season isn't (realistically) about winning the league. It's about closing that points gap between us & Ceptic, and hopefully giving them a scare along the way. Ceptic are NOT (IMHO), the wonderful team that the media make out....it's just that the other teams in the league are unable to trouble them too much over a sustained period. They do have some good players, just the world beaters there made out to be. Hopefully with the new intake of players this summer, we will be in a better position to challenge them, but more importantly we're better placed to take the vast majority of points of the other teams. If we do that, we'll remain in touch of them.
  13. means he can sack himself & still keep his job
  14. I'll say it again.... If ANY player is unable to complete 90mins of football due to poor fitness, then they should not be at the club - regardless of who that may be.
  15. There really is no discussion here....flares & other pyro-type devices are banned, not allowed, however else you want to put it - They shouldn't be in the ground!!!!
  16. From what I've seen, Herrera is more similar in style to Miller than Morellos.
  17. I think you could have swapped Waggy for Miller....I think Miller would have taken his time getting back to his feet & by that time the keeper would have cleared. While Morellos wasn't overly speedy getting back up, he was still aware of what was happening.
  18. Funny how things happen....a couple of season ago, It was our left side that was by far the strongest, with most attacks coming down that side from Wallace & McKay. Now it tends to be the right side with Tav & Candeias. A proper left sided "winger" would be useful, rather than a right footed player cutting in. We do have Dodoo, but it seems clear that he's not in the managers (immediate) plans.
  19. At the 2nd Goal....what would have happened if it had been Miller instead of Morellos???
  20. General fitness should not be a problem for ANY player - they should be able to play for 90 mins. If they can't they are of no use. Niko, unfortunately looked well off the pace wrt general fitness - he was toiling big time latterly.
  21. Something that really struck me watching yesterdays game, was the general strength show by most players. They appeared happy to get in about the opposition, and stood up well to challenges - Morellos being a good example. compared to previous seasons, they weren't getting hustled off the ball as much - As PC has said, we have men in the team instead of boys!!!
  22. Moult was being touted as the 20+ goal striker that we needed - Morelos was often ignored. I don't think, from what we've seen so far, that Herrera will hit that many - high teens I think. I feel he will offer a lot more in assists (possibly), and in his general play. I think he will be a more effective Kenny Miller
  23. Oh how the views have turned..... Morelos arrived having scored a boat load of goals in Finland, yet folk didn't think this was applicable coz he went a couple of early appearances without scoring & he was only playing in Finland. Folk were crying out for a goal scorer - "We need Louis Moult, he'll score for fun with Rangers". Fast forwad a couple of weeks and Morelos is sitting with 5 goals in 4 games. Herrera is also out of the blocks with a very well taken goal yesterday. I believe Morelos will score many, many more goals for us. As others have said, he's a hard worker, gives defenders a headache with his movement, and isn't afraid of a bit of physical contact - he looks a strong lad. He appears to give a similar work rate to Miller, but with a better end product (in that there generally is an end product). I also think that Herrera will offer more than Miller - appears a similar type of player...works hard & gets in about the defenders. I don't think he'll score as many as Morelos, but I think they will strike up a VERY useful partnership - the new Hateley & McCoist???
  24. Outside suggestion...If Windass is out, would it not make sense for Dodoo to slot into the left "wing" slot??? Unlikely though given that he hasn't featured for PC at all....
  25. I'd start Herrera (if fully fit) in place of Miller - Herrera & Morelos are supposed to be our main strike force moving forward....they need to play together as often as possible. By all means have Miller on the bench to come on later in the game (if required).
