  1. Jack didn't let the team down in last nights game.....he let them down for the next game(s) if he's banned or dropped.
  2. Can anyone answer this.... Compliance officer issues a notice of complaint to PC, which includes a one match ban - This is then accepted & served. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2566&newsCategoryID=1&newsID=17331 Compliance officer issues a notice of complaint to Stephen Robinson (Motherwell) for the same offence as PC (Disciplinary Rule allegedly breached: Disciplinary Rule 202 – No member of team staff shall commit Misconduct at a match), but there is no offer of penalty & will be heard at the next hearing (9th Nov). http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2566&newsCategoryID=1&newsID=17330
  3. Is that not part of the job description though????
  4. It may have been a routine Board meeting, but I'd be VERY surprised if PC's position wasn't discussed in great depth/detail. Whether a decision will have been made is another question....
  5. While I agree in general with your views on PC and the wider SFA/SPFL/Refs etc, we can't ignore the fact that we should have had the game last night (and against M/well) tied up long before any of the "Ref stuff" came into play. We dominated the 1st half, getting a goal in the process, but failed to capitalise on that. We should have scored the penalty, but didn't. I would agree that PC has improved the team overall, but there is still something that he isn't getting from them. Until that happens we will be at the mercy of those external forces. The poor ref decisions are becoming more of a focus than the actual performance of the team. We are blaming the refs for losing us matches, when in actual fact, we are not winning the matches. I like PC, I like how he talks and think he has a good vision of what he wants, and where he wants the team to be, but unless he can convert that in sustainable results, his days are numbered.
  6. Jack should receive a heft fine and a multiple match ban from the club, irrespective of the red card appeal/outcome. If the card is not rescinded, the club should impose a further ban onto of anything from the SFA. He needs to learn that certain behavious will not be tolerated. With his absence from the team, it give Holt a chance to prove himself to PC & to give Jack something serious to think about re. team selection.
  7. Poor overall result.... Firstly the ref....for the most part, I though he had a decent game - that all crumbled in the dying minutes though. I can understand him taking his time over the penalty decision - he want's to make the right call , however it then descended into farce. the penalty was a clear stonewall penalty, however, it wasn't a clear goal scoring opportunity so no reason for B/Foot to see red. It also wasn't a bad/dirty challenge, so even a yellow could have been deemed harsh. It was a straight forward foul inside the box, nothing malicious & nothing to argue. The Jack B/foot incident - total stupidity on Jack's part. He was clearly being goaded by B/Foot, and let himself get suckered in instead of walking away. It's difficult to tell from the video footage whether Jack makes an actual advance with his head, or whether it is just natural movement, but it wasn't that that made B/foot fall....it was a clear push by Jack. B/foot then goes down (anyone get a view of the sniper???), clutching his face in apparent agony, remaining motionless for a short period. I believe it is clear from the video that there is NO head contact, and therefore B/foot should receive retrospective action from the CO for simulation. The Ref has deemed Jacks actions as a yellow card (correct decision). Candeias lines up his penalty for a 2nd time, only to be stopped again following the ref's change of heart & a red is shown to Jack. What additional information did the ref receive & from whom??? Not sure if there was comms with the linesman prior to the Yellow card....if there was it would then probably be down to the 4th official. That being the case, why did the 4th official not make his thoughts clear before the yellow was shown??? or has he viewed a TV replay??? Lets be honest, everyone's attention was on Candeias & the penalty. I think, based on the video, Jack will get the red card rescinded or downgraded back to a yellow, and B/foot should receive a ban - I doubt that will happen though. Pedro demanded a response form the players...did he receive it - NO. I think from the wee post-match interview, it's clear that he believes the same - you can hear it in his voice,he sounds so deflated. We played pretty decently in the 1st half, but I think the biggest change was when Nemane came on - we seemed to lose a lot of momentum at that point....everything suddenly became flat & laboured. Is this an indication of what Windass brings to the team, or is it simply the fact that we can't play properly past 60mins??? From that point on Candeias disappeared as well. As others have said, 1-0 up with a couple of mins to play & receive a penalty. We should have been home & dry with a 2-0 win. Should Candeias have taken the penalty...with hindsight, no but at the time I would have no reason for him not to take it. So where does that leave Pedro??? The fans are clearly not happy with what they are seeing on a regular basis. I think many fan appreciate that there is a good team in there somewhere - the players have the ability - but for whatever reason, they are not showing it. PC said at the start of the week, there is effectively only so much that he can do. The players are performing very will in training etc but come game time it all goes "oot the windae". Why are we playing decent/well for fairly long periods of the match, then suddenly collapsing??? PC is a stats/analysis man....I would suggest that he looks are recent stats & tries to identify any patterns ie. 60min collapse. Are certain things happening when specific players start or subbed??? I believe we are not far from having a good team - we have the six pack, but lack the wee plastic bit to hold the cans together. PC & the backroom staff MUST find that plastic bit ASAP....if not he will be oot the door.
  8. The award was for a specific fans display - in their case the celebration of the Lisbon lions Euro win.....it was certainly NOT for general behaviour etc. However the specifics of the award will be conveniently left out of any reporting.
  9. EVERY new appointment is a gamble....previous success doesn't guarantee anything (but it may help...)
  10. a wee bit of perspective/patience requried..... If we want ANY kind of complaint to be noticed, it has to be fully researched & presented in the proper manner. Anything else will be simply dismissed out of hand. There is no point simply complaining about some specific occurrences...these must be highlighted & compared to similar type events with other teams (case reference....). Unfortunately that takes time, and at the moment we can only hope that this is happening behind the scenes. We can only hope that dialogue is going on between the club & SFA already. The Club MUST go through the correct procedure. However, that doesn't stop the fans & the likes of C1872 raising the issues with the media or even the SFA. But I can't stress enough - any moaning/complaining MUST be backed up fully with examples, and counter examples....otherwise it's all see as sour grapes/paranoia.
  11. True...but if we shout loud enough & long enough, while encouraging others to do the same, then the media can't ignore it. Also, briefing the media fully would be useful - pass them the same evidence that is passed to the SFA etc.
  12. If we want change to the current refereeing debacle....we need to look at what forced change the last time. Ceptic forced the Ref's to strike through their constant criticism and focus. Since then, they Ref's are Sh*t scarred of giving them anything other that a yellow card & maybe a stern talking too. I would say it's about time that firstly we start doing that, but also encourage all other clubs to do the same - openly speak out about refereeing mistakes. They are failing to do their jobs adequately, which is the bottom line - the ref on Sun, let play continue AFTER 2 clear head knocks, both of which drew blood & required medical treatment.
  13. While composing a dossier, it would be worthwhile including ALL incidents where the club believe the ref got it wrong - including incident where RFC players escaped punishment/cards etc. This is the only way that it can be presented as an open & fair representation of the facts. There has been incidents where Rangers players should have been sent off/punished - Morelos & Pena have been lucky a couple of times. Overall, we are not talking about refs missing offsides, or a wee shoulder barge....we're talking about MAJOR incidents within games. I think it would be interesting to see some stats relating to Morelos (for example). The couple of times he maybe should have been sent off....how many fouls etc had he endured before then & of what kind of nature ie. is Morelos reacting to "missed" incidents, or is he more the aggressor.
  14. The argument against would be that it may harm our team as much, maybe more than anyone else.
  15. Starting with a full & detailed dossier of every incident this season, with special attention being paid to the Hibs match. That dossier should then be submitted to the authorities & all media outlets.
  16. Is there any way for fans to complain??? A mass influx of complaints (including specific references/examples) from fans may force the authorities to take action...
  17. Has this been confirmed??? Don't see anything on the RFC of SFA websites
  18. Is anyone really surprised at the outcome???
  19. What happens if it doesn't work???
  20. As would the vast majority of managers - McInnes included.
  21. I disagree....Miller would have done a lot of running, a lot of head shaking & a lot of huffing & puffing, but not much else. I actually feel that the team is performing better without him there.
  22. I think he did make that point...just in a nice, less blunt way - around the 12min mark...
  23. I think that team looks good. Felt Dorrans had a good game on Sunday, and pushing him a bit further forward may work well in more of a playmaker-type role. Not 100% convinced with Nemane, but have seen very little of him to really tell. I have been impressed with Declan John in recent games. I think he has contributed more to the team than Wallace had in recent months. As for the manager....the question(s) that is always asked about PC, should be asked of those suggestions (McInnes, Wright, Allardyce, de Boer, O'Neill) - What have they achieved/Won??? What would they bring to RFC??? The likes of McInnes & Wright are doing fairly well domestically, but they aren't world beaters.... ANY new manager is a total gamble, as is any player...regardless of past success or reputation. I believe that PC has advanced/raised the quality of the team - we can play some VERY nice stuff. He just need to raise their confidence/belief & get them performing at a higher level, more consistently - he needs to pull all the component parts together!!!
  24. I like Pedro....I like how he talks & addresses the press etc - he's not afraid to speak his mind. I also that that was an excellent press conference. He's basically saying that both he & the club have shown faith in the players. They are working well in training, but when they come up against a significant match, they are losing something in their play & as such they are letting down the club - they players need to take ownership of that, it's not something he can change or affect. I also like how he comments on Scottish football in general - his 4 pillars - essentially saying that we are not skillful/technical enough to compete on a Euro/world stage. Something that many Scots have known for years...too much emphasis in physical size (big), and physical presence, rather than on the technicalities of the game, and it's simply failing to produce anything. The entire ethos of Scottish football is out of date & unable to evolve. Hopefully the players will take note, and more of them will take charge of their own development & performance, going on to produce the standard that the manager, club & fans expect.
  25. There we go folks....situation now resolved. It was actually Cardoso's fault for hitting his head against Bowman's elbow. That being the case, I fully expect the compliance officer to issue at least a retrospective yellow card, possibly red for dangerous play, to Fabio Cardoso.
