A massive part of that comes from them passing around the back 4 all the time. Many teams seem to sit off them & let them pass endlessly around their own half. As soon as a team begins to really press them & get in their faces, they start to flounder a bit more. If we press & hustle them in their own half, coupled with our much improved, dynamic forward line...we WILL cause them problems.

Why would we effectively shoot ourselves in the foot, by leaving out the countries top scorer??? As others have said, Morelos brings a lot more than just goals. Years ago, Boyd was heavily criticised for not working hard enough for the team, and that he needed to do more than just score goals. Now we have a very hard working player, who causes opposing defences all sorts of problems & scores goals, and we're talking about dropping him for possibly the biggest game of the season (so far)

The contract will be between the clubs....not the managers. Whether there are any clauses within that contract which allow for an early return, we don't know.

The likes of Pena may come back & be a different player within a much more settled side. When he was here, the side was struggling (in general). The team wasn't a cohesive team, which would make it even more difficult for someone who doesn't speak the language to fit in. While the language may still be a barrier, the guys in the team are more settled with each other & in a method of play - this may make if easier for any player to slot in. -
The league is not ours to win...it's there's to lose...... I am confident that they will drop more points before the seasons finished - the same is likely for us as well. 9 points isn't a massive gap, especially considering 2 matches against them, which could go either way. The pressure is definitely on them, and they will be well aware of what we're doing - hopefully by keeping one eye on us, they will miss something ahead of them. Murty needs to keep the players focused on the next match, and ensure that we do all we can to put us in the strongest position possible. If we do that, you never know what might happen....

They should just sort out the Champions league, to include ONLY the champions of all member countries. If there are more teams required, move to 2nd placed.

not sure....it does vaguely resemble one of the square ends of the meccano-dome.... Would be amusing if the guy who printed it was a Bear, and did Ibrox instead.

Was his main injury not back related???

I actually feel a bit sorry for Refs.....they are under an immense amount of scrutiny. EVERY decision they make will be analysed over & over again, all with the benefit of video replay & a number of "expert" opinions on hand. Pressures from each set of fans during the game, and constant focus from pundits & managers mean that they will likely be worrying as much about the fallout a decision may have, as the actual decision itself. Don't get me wrong, in no way do I think they are doing a sterling job, their inconsistency at times is unbelievable. I honestly think that gagging the refs from speaking about decisions etc does more harm than good. Controversial decisions are debated for days with folk trying to work out what the ref was thinking - why not just let the refs come out & say what they were thinking???

More like a RFC player valuation calculator - always rounds down

I would imagine he had conversations with various people & was told various things....however when those folk got together to discuss the situation, the outcome was different to what he expected. The DoF is the one who looks after the contract/admin side of things - he won't make a decision on a players future without discussing with the Manager. Obviously between the 2 of them, they felt Wilson was surplus to requirements - end of story. Whether Wilson wanted to stay or not is irrelevant....the club felt they had better players for his position.

Newspaper circulation figures have been falling across the board for years....no-one wants to read about yesterdays news, when they can get todays news delivered to their fingertips immediately.

Have to say...not much of a mate if he didn't say anything!!!
-
How much he's getting paid is completely irrelevant (in this case). While Windass may not be performing amazingly for the whole match, he is popping up at key moments & either getting a goal or providing assists. Take a look at Lionel Messi's performances throughout a match - invisible for large periods, but comes alive for a couple of seconds/minutes & goal!!! (Note: I'm not saying Windass is anywhere near Messi). Given that being the case....would you have Messi in the team & would you still expect him to get dogs abuse???
-
From what I've seen so far, I'd say he's been quietly effective. Not done anything to particularly stand out....just got on with the job at hand, and done it reliably and effectively.
-
but he doesn't have the right to respond??? and if he does, folk get even more wound up....bit of an imbalance there. How would the situation unfold if you started yelling at the cashier in Sainsburys, coz they weren't scanning yer messages through quick enough, telling them that they're useless at their job??? I'm sure you'd probably be removed from the store, yet it's a similar situation - just because you are paying for your messages, doesn't give you the right to verbally abuse the cashier.
-
but he has scored several important goals so far this season....several times being the only scorer, yet gets pelters from the fans for poor performances etc. I think he's perfectly entitled to respond & I see nothing wrong with his "gesture". The fans wanted more from him....he gave them a goal to put us in front. What more can he do??? Out of interest, anyone know what impact it would have on results/table position if Windass' goals were removed???
-
I think going with 2 up top would be worth a shot, even just to mix up the tactics a wee bit & not become too predictable. I would also include Windass sitting just behind the 2 strikers - he has generally done well in a central position. I've not see anything from Murphy to suggest that he's be better in that role than Windass. For me, the key thing is to get started at a high, attacking tempo - put Thistle under pressure from the 1st whistle.

Miller returns to Rangers squad Suicide alert for Tannochsidebear

I would suggest Cummings before Miller.... From what I've seen, Cummings is a runner - similar to Miller, but younger, fitter & more chance of an end product. -

Interesting to note that Pena still hasn't started a game....due to fitness concerns. -

I don't think the club will be blocking anything.....I think they will be telling him that if he continues his current form, or improves it, the quality of team pursuing him will improve and he will get a better move in the summer.
