  1. Allegedly, Papac has just left MP without saying anything....
  2. Leigh Griffiths has been one of my star buys - bangs in the goals!!!
  3. better going the fantasy route - Football Manager 2012!!! lost count of how many league titles I won & Europa league. Just signed a young Brazilian for £18m!!!
  4. That DOES make sense....but what if those players are unwilling to terminate their contracts???? Does it then not start getting messy...
  5. ...and only worth something if someone want to buy them!!!
  6. but if it keeps the club alive - surely that's the important thing???
  7. Anyone wanna hazard a guess @ Saturday's team so far??? I think McCoist, Durrant & McDowell have a good chance of starting. Clarke & Whitehouse - the new Goian/Bocanegra???? Rumour has it that Craig Whyte is going to fulfill a child hood dream (he's a fan you know!!!), and pull the strings from Centre Mid.... Dave Murray up front, with A Johnston supporting.... :)
  8. The problem being that we MIGHT not be able to sustain their wages until we sell them....
  9. the future of the club rests with the youth.....it is a shame that the redundancies start with a promising talent.
  10. Point taken....If it's true I will be disappointed. I feel that he may have been a star in the making....
  11. I'm looking at it with a positive spin.....while its never good that someone looses their job, players are a wee bit different from the norm. My view is that by clearing a number of aging players or ones that are on high wages, it will allow the club to impose a strict wage structure moving forward. It will then encourage the youth academy to produce better quality players on a regular basis. Wipe the slate clean etc....
  12. The big question is.....Would they still be having these talks if it was Hearts, St Mirren or Dunfermline??? I would think not!!!! The proposed points docking system also favours the clubs down the bottom of the league - Why punish a club coz it has finished high in the league in previous seasons??? The SPL are always on about openness, transparency & fair play....yet these proposals/ideas are anything but fair!!! When they introduced the 10 point deduction, all the teams were happy with it. Now when its Rangers that are suffering, the punishment is not severe enough....
  13. we should know in the next 48hrs...
  14. I can't see how the club could survive in the lower leagues.....the clubs that are there struggle!!! I honestly don't see 50,000 fans packing into Ibrox every other week to see a very basic squad compete against part-timers - single-figured 1000's at most. Would Tennents continue to be a main sponsor with no TV coverage??? Would folk still buy the corporate packages??? The club would die quicker than Craig Whyte could ever kill it!!!
  15. More to the point....who's left @ Rangers to attend???
  16. The point is...if outwardly it is the same team, ground etc, why would your feelings change??? I wouldn't think changing from The Rangers Football club PLC, to Glasgow Rangers Football club PLC (for example) would change much. IF the club is liquidated & a phoenix club arises, I would argue that the history etc continues and the events are just another entry into the clubs History timeline.
  17. How will any redundancy plans effect those players out on loan??? IF the wages are being paid 100% by the loan club, there wouldn't be any immediate saving to Rangers by letting them go. Could this of maybe been a smart move by Mr Whyte or Even Ally?? Get a couple of the good prospects out of the way for the time being, get them some 1st team experience, then post-Admin, bring them back ready for 1st team action.
  18. If they're not a creditor...what are they??? and why are they involved in discussions with potential buyers????
  19. My reading of that statement is that Ticketus actually have an input into the future of the club - rather than simply being a creditor. Why would they be involved in discussions with potential buyers???? Could it be that THEY are the largest secured creditor and not Mr Whyte???
  20. so even though they would have a similar name, play @ the same ground, probably same or similar strip, and a good chance of having the same staff.....you would still see it as a completely different club & therefore not support - what a dedicated fan you are. The clubs history is only wiped out from a legal/business point of view - it still exists in the hearts & minds of every fan across the world!!!
  21. I truly believe that the reports are true - there will be players released....however I believe that the numbers are purely guess work at the moment (unless they have inside information....)
  22. In some ways it may prove to be a good thing - providing the majority of promising youngsters are kept. While its never a good thing when people loose their jobs, if it clears out some of the aging, high earners, and gives some of the younger guys a chance, it can only be good in the long term.
  23. Either way....I think trying to get them on that particular charge is gonna cause a media storm - possibly even eclipse our Admin stuff...
  24. can you imagine the outcry if the are found NOT GUILTY, due to the charge being attempted murder!!!! It was bad enough with the Hearts guy....this would be 100 times worse.
