I have to agree with this......Any bidder has potentially a lot of cash on the line. Bidders are trying to get the best deal for themselves, while the admins will be trying for the best deal for creditors - a lot of jostling & discussion going on. I am getting the impression from BK that he's almost saying "he's ma bid, he's your exclusivity fee (if required), you know I've got the cash....accept it and lets move on!!!"
-
Could this be a way of getting Craig Whytes shares of him???? Since RFC Group are included in the lawsuit, and their only asset is the shares in Rangers, could it be a case of "give us the shares & we'll call it quits!!!"
-
I think the only way for fan involvement would be to abolish existing fans groups, and create a single entity for fans to join. that could go a long way to removing the splits etc between the existing groups. By presenting a completely unified front, there is a greater chance of ANY fan involvement.
-
I would describe that as an argument against a single owner. It doesn't completely cover consortium ownership. Also, you could have an elected board without fan ownership or fan involvement in day-to-day business.

You go into an establishment, you pay your money, you get a product. Whether that product is a tangible item ie a tin of beans, or whether its an experience ie seeing a film....the idea is exactly the same. Fans pay their money & they get to see their team play - simple. As for businesses getting abuse - happens on a daily basis. Members of staff are forever getting verbally abused by customers - and 9/10 the staff have to nod & smile politely!!! As for newspapers, I don't tend to read trade media (not being in the trade), but I'm sure businesses up & down the country get slated inthe trade publications for various reason - unfortunately for a football team, daily newspapers would come under the "trade" banner. I'm still not seeing ANY argument as to why fan ownership/involvement is a bonus for the well being of the club!!!!

Providing that an outcome is achieved!!!! Lets not forget the old saying: Too many cooks, spoil the Broth!!!! How many other industries have customer representation on their boards??? Do Sainsbury's, M&S, Amazon etc. Yet they still listen to their customers (Fans??) and do what it required.

What's the big deal with Fan Ownership??? If given the opportunity, what would fans bring to the Boardroom, and the day to day business running of the club??? What is the big benefit to the club if it is owned by the fans???

No idea about Ness. Been impressed with McCabe whenever he's played - even @ right back he looked comfortable.
-
looking on the plus side....that should enable Rhys McCabe to get a few more games under his belt. Possibly Jamie Ness as well!!!

Guesswork & summation are pretty much all we have just now. However, some is from fantasy, some is based on what info/facts are available. If the BK's had the £500k - why would that initially try to get it from Ticketus??? The "facts" as we have them say that Ticketus refused to give them the cash, then over the course of the weekend, the BK's did manage to raise the required funds from consortium members. Then withdrew - WHY??? Having 3 bidders at the table is far healthier than having 2....hence why the admins would want them to reconsider. If the BK's understand the importance of speed...why not just pay the money & get on with it???
-
Think everyone has missed the important thing from that information......I didn't know that Santa was a Bear!!!!
-
Big fan involvement was central to the BK's bid - simply coz they didn't have the money to fun the running of the club themselves. They would have started with a loan from Ticketus to cover them initially until the share issue, then use money from the share issue to firstly pay back ticketus, the whatever left being used to run the club. The reason I don't think Ticketus put up the £500k was possibly due to not having a guarantee of getting it back!!! If the BK's didn't win control, who was going to pay the £500k??? It at least appears that Miller & Ng have funds available without securing further loans/debts. Ng has previously stated the the funds required are already in place!!!
-
Does this say that if TBK had raised the 500k, they would have been named preferred bidders, no matter what the other bids are saying? Like a "daylight robbery" sort of bribe to jump ahead in the queue? When D&P should have the interest of the creditors to look after? Well ... From the Admins statement: BK's saying that they were offered the chance to pay the exclusivity fee & achieve preferred bidder status, but the Admins statement reads as if TBK's offered to "buy" preferred status, then withdrew. TBK's also claiming that agreement was reached, Admins saying it wasn't. It think its a case of TBK's not measuring up financially, then backing away while trying to save face.
-
Ng has stated that he has a board of UK based businessmen, who are also Rangers fans already lined up....however, he hasn't released ANY name either of his consortium or the proposed board members.
-
His overall bid may be for £20m....£12m for the creditors pot, £8m for purchase & initial running costs???
-
I believe it was originally quoted as £12m for the creditors pot...
-
Craig Whyte is going to process it through the "club books"...
-
It could have been done & dusted on Friday, if TBK's had funds of their own!!! They had to go check down the back of the sofa to scramble together cash - which came with conditions. Maybe Ticketus simply decided that it was time for the consortium to actually stump up something for themselves!!!
-
The £500k exclusivity fee....
-
Ticketus were always gonna be part of the equation, no doubt about that. Overall, they may not be getting much more than from the BK's deal. The BK's had agreed to repay £10m, over 9 years with various clauses inc interest free. However, were they not also requiring an initial £10m to fund their bid & running costs until a share issue was sorted. Money from the share issue was then gonna be used to repay Ticketus - £10m + interest @ a very healthy rate no doubt. Over all they were probably gonna get fairly close to £14m. Bill Ng, may be saying £14m over 5 years, maybe even interest free (speculation...). This would then take them out of the Creditors pot, leaving more of his initially quoted £12m for everyone else. Alternatively, he may have thrown another £14m into his bid to pay ticketus off completely (wishful thinking probably) Maybe Frankie can get some further info from his source???
-
I believe the big difference being that Bill Ng isn't requiring any financial input from Ticketus - they are not integral to his proposal. From the info so far, he appears to have negotiated a settlement fee with Ticketus, which will hopefully remove them from any CVA discussions. The BK's were relying on Ticketus to fund their bid!!! How that will effect the overall make-up of the bid remains to be seen.

Shock horror..... He must be the only person who can't see it was offside. I think if he just came out and admitted it, and that his team didn't play well enough, he would get an awful lot more respect!!!

The ball stopped dead!!! IMHO, it would take a deliberate action to do that, otherwise the ball would have just been deflected.

I think the Hearts penalty is a tricky one....and one that some refs wouldn't give due to both celtic players proximity to the ball. However, many refs would give the penalty - one being Euan Norris. I personally believe that Wanyama intentionally handled. His hand does indeed appear to move towards the ball. You could also argue that with Ledlay's as well - it appears a natural reaction. As for Celtics penalty claim....replays have clearly shown that Webster played the ball with his hip and got his hands clear. Added to that, the ref was behind the play and didn't have a view of the impact point. IF the ref had given the penalty it would have been based on guesswork, rather than actually seeing the contact. I'm not going to hold my breath for Lenny to admit that Hooper was offside - he's more likely to comment that it was clearly on-side and that it was a great piece of movement by the striker, followed by a world class finish!!!! He'll probably also comment on how amazing his team played!!! It's clear that Lenny & the team are keeping themselves fresh for their Champion League victory next season - Barca, Man Utd/City, Real Madrid etc will be quaking in their boots now!!!
