I don't remeber this being part of the secured creditor arrangement.......
-
But surely if they upped the 5.5m.....d&p would not be able to refuse the bid. Also keep in mind that not all of the 5.5m will goto the creditors - d&p's fee's will come out of it.
-
They are still offering only 5.5m to cover 55m of debt.....
-
I wouldn't go that far myself.....but my opinion of TBK's has certainly changed. I really get the impression that Kennedy is the one calling the shots now, as opposed to Murray - this was highlighted when Kennedy was talking about their proposed Board....all names mentioned were Kennedy's guys!!!
-
can you still get Topics???? Always preferred a mars bar myself!!!!
-
Thought that came across VERY clear from Brian Kennedy!!!!
-
If he was to sell/transfer them to Kennedy, where would the Administration stand??? Would he be able to push through his own/BK's CVA proposal or even simply pay off the clubs debt from his own pocket if he wanted???
-
Is it possible for CW to sell/transfer his shares & therefore ownership outwith the administration??? Basically, could CW transfer/sell his shares to Kennedy who could then force through a CVA???
-
The frustration, particularly with Kennedy was VERY clear!!!
-
Press Conf. now finished.... I thought that Kennedy in particular came across well. Stated that: - D&P stated an amount of £8.5m would be acceptable.....BK's met that. - D&P stated that CW's shares were an issue....BK has written agreement (with conditions) from CW for transfer of shares. - D&P stated that other bidders were offering more cash up front, but BK's are far further ahead in the process. - PM stated that he would step down ASAP if the reason for not accepting BK's bid is him personally. They are both unclear as to why their bid hasn't been accepted, when they have met the conditions set by D&P BK also stated that he had been in contact with Bill Miller prior to being PB.....BK offered/suggested that he, BM & TBK's combine their funds to a pot of circa £27m in order get deal done - BM refused as he was dead set for Newco.

PM & BK (especially) giving a very good account IMHO....

according to the DR this morning....Gordon McKie (ex-SRU Chief Exec) has "spend the last 4 days locked inside Ibrox, pouring over the club's finances". It also states that McKie has already clocked up nearly 2 weeks worth of due diligence already - all on behalf of BK This guy was linked only to Brian Kennedy, never to the BK's!!! There were also the reports of BK meeting with CW a few days ago!!!
-
wonder if this is the inspiration for the Blue Knights???
-
IF the BK's bid has indeed been rejected, I feel that they need to reveal further details of their bid!!! ie. how much they offered.... Bill miller set the purchase price @ circa £11m....if TBK's are constantly coming in with £5-8m, is it any wonder that their bids keep getting rejected???

Who's your money on to be the next preferred bidder?
Darthter replied to bigy's topic in Rangers Chat
That'll be the BK's bid then... TBH, I don't think there is enough concrete info in order to full support any one bid. -
I'm probably in the minority on this, but I don't think a transfer ban and possible UEFA ban would be a totally bad thing for the long term future of the club. Any potential new owner has to stabilise the finances of the club - of that there is no doubt. However, under normal circumstances, the first thing that fans would expect is new players. This was certainly the case when Craig Whyte took over. Whilst we know that the squad needs attention, do we REALLY want to start spending money straight away on new players??? European football also adds to the situation above. Its guaranteed that there will be no Euro footie next season, but possibly the season after. IMHO, this is an added pressure to the transfer side of things. A new owner will be under pressure to get a team capable of competing in Euro as quickly as possible. The only surefire way of doing that is buying talented new player - more expenditure!!! My view is that the club takes advantage of the bans/embargoes over the next couple of years in order to build a a good stable club, that is operating within domestic limits. Take the time to develop younger talent, and embed them into the 1st team, rather then looking for a quick fix for the team. Focus should be placed on the scouting network, looking for promising/talented youngsters (18/19 yr olds) who can be given game time with the 1st team. They should also be looking at in-house development. Ensuring that the training/teaching methods employed are getting the most out of the youths that the club currently has. By the time the embargoes & bans are then clear, we should have a rock solid team, firstly capable of competing in the SPL, which can then be built upon to ensure greater ongoing success both on the pitch & financially!!!

I think any support for a bidder is going to have a "blind" element to it, simply because there isn't enough detailed information out there!!! The BK's have been VERY vocal about their work, yet all we now is basic summary details of their bid. The info that is out there is generally from when they were in with Ticketus.....that's not the case now, so how is their bid structured??? Where is the funding coming from??? Are they still planning on the share issue??? These same questions need to be asked of the other bids, however I believe the BK's situation is slightly different in that they have let out SOME information previously, which gives ways to questions & scrutiny. The other bidders have given nothing away yet. They do claim to be Rangers men.....with PM previously sitting on the Board (as we all know). IMHO, that shouldn't be a massive vote of confidence....after all it was the previous board (followed by Whyte), that followed a path which ultimately let to where we are now. Sometimes keeping quiet can be for the best!!! However, I have no doubt that should the BK's get the keys, they will do their best for the club.

48 hours???
-
we're sponsored by Tennents.....not Carlsberg!!!!
-
Didn't the Admins make a comment about that when the initial bidding process was underway??? I am getting the impression that there has been an awful lot more going on behind the scenes/away from the media than we have been aware of!!!
-
Whyte won't pay for anything personally - that way he doesn't loose anything when things go pear shaped!!! Also makes it more difficult to follow the paper trail. He's like the Al Capone of Motherwell/Govan!!! (all be it, we actually hope he gets done for tax evasion!!!)

Traynor: Blue Knights must act now to save Rangers
Darthter replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I believe the BK have had several opportunities to move things forward, but have failed every time. Apparently they were offered the Preferred Bidder slot, but struggled to come up with the cash, then when they did get the cash, they stepped back. Bill Miller took a step back to allow a fresh BK's bid - nothing worthy materialised. Also reports of their "bid" had stated the amount is a pittance!!! All that before they have even got close to discussing Whytes shares. -
Traynor: Blue Knights must act now to save Rangers
Darthter replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
That was weeks ago.....they failed on both counts!!! -
