I think it has a lot to do with it.....kids are preferring to play footie in the PS3, online with their mates, than actually go out with a ball. I also blame the parents. They should be encouraging the kids to put down their controllers and get outside. The parents should be getting involved in local teams, doing anything they can. However, there are far too many parents out there who show no interest/support in what their child is doing. We have had this @ my Archery club - the parents are fine if they can drop the kids off & leave, but if you insist that they stay to watch over their child, they are very rarely seen again!!!!

It's obvious what's happened - his account has been hacked!!! Clearly a Rangers fan has hacked his account, and clicked the favourite button to make it look like it was Regan himself.

Chelsea, Barca, Real Madrid, Partick Thistle????

I have to admit that I quite enjoy the Real radio phone in - it generally light hearted and has some balance having 2 OF representatives. That's not saying that the don't talk a load of guff, and discuss stuff in "detail" with only half information.

Leggat - Green Wants Rangers Fans To Pay Whytes' Debts
Darthter replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
He's a fact..... Season ticket money is essential to running ANY football club, regardless of who owns it!!! The money received is used to run the club - that includes servicing ANY debts that the club has. I feel it's a bit of mis-direction to force the point that the fans are "paying for CW's debt". The fans pay to fund the club & any bills that are due. -
I put that down to the pressure of the current game. Managers and supporters (especially of the OF) demand instant success. As a result, there appears to be a reluctance to give the youngsters a chance. The majority of youngsters that have had their chance in the Rangers 1st team recently, have got that chance through necessity ie. injury problems, rather than choice. I believe that needs to change. There are currently a number of very promising young players on the verge of regular 1st team action....this is the season to give them their chance based on merit, rather than necessity!!!

the phrase pot & kettle spring to mind....

first thing for my would be a trip to the Porsche garage @ Braehead. Then it'd be a trip round all Rangers' creditors, paying what everyone was due (and leave HMRC/Ticketus to squabble for the CVA pot) Hold back maybe £20-odd million to buy into the Gers. the rest is unclear @ present...

from my understanding....only costly to one party!!!!

Rangers administration: questions as club move toward creditor meetings
Darthter replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The initial financial package may be similar....so the decision has to have been based on future funding/running costs and plans. There were portions of the BK's bid which were conditional on reaching certain stages of the CL. This may have been deemed unacceptable/unrealistic. Also the BK's contingency plans may not have been adequate!!! -
SHOCK, HORROR.....CW knew that administration was a reality and started planning before it actually happened....
-
There was no mention of a loan from Green's consortium initially....
-
They've already fined us....the only sanction not ticket yet is expulsion!!!
-
We saw TBK's offer....but not their actual CVA proposal. The break down of the original figures, may have been slightly different. Also the BK's CVA may also have specific wording pointing to the original monies being a loan of some sort....
-
The big question being..... If the other 3 had got to this stage, would their CVA proposal be much different???
-
If it gets the club out of the shit, I'd say its a small price!!!
-
To my completely untrained eye, I don't see the problem with funding - I think it is just the working. Green's consortium are investing £8.5m into the club in order to fund the CVA. The Consortium will be reimbursed in full by the end of 2020!!!! There is no comparison to what Whyte did. There are no club revenue streams being touched or impeded by Green's method of funding - it is 100% external to the club and is no different from someone taking out a bank loan to repay a credit card bill!!!

Charles green can get rangers for a song says low
Darthter replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I may be looking at this Low connection wrongly..... This is a financial consultant who advised on McCann's SUCCESSFUL takeover & restructuring of Celtic. He has chatted to Charles Green, and offered some advice on the takeover @ Rangers. He has also confirmed that he is NOT part of the consortium. Where is the big issue???? -
Valid points..... We are VERY light up front. With Little, Kerkar, and possibly Healy's contracts up in the summer....and I don't rate McCulloch as a striker, we do need someone to bang in the goals. The big question is - Can Lafferty really take the bull by the horns, and prove his worth??? Can he stay fit & out of trouble??? If he could do that, he would be worth trying to keep, but I have my doubts. I think he might start well, the fade. I think Ally needs to do his best to extend Little & possibly Kerkar's contracts. Along with Hemmings, Fleck, Aluko & possibly McKay eventually, I think there are goals to be had.
-
When anyone talks about Lafferty's ability, they always mention the 2010/2011 post split - its true that he hit a real purple patch, but thats 6 games out of 3 years!!! I agree that for a fair number of games, he was played out of position, but overall when played as a striker I would say he's not been outstanding. Couple that with his reckless behaviour at times, and I don't think he will be a great loss.
-
Have the invoices been presented to the general public as evidence??? From the "evidence" I've seen, its clear that Grier knew there was some involvement with Ticketus, but nothing so confirm EXACTLY what that involvement entailed.
-
Lafferty's problem has always been consistency....he doesn't have any!!! He will go through a wee purple patch & the fans will love him, then he'll get injured, and be back to square one. Even when he doesn't get a long run in the side, he's not the most prolific of scorers. According to Wikipedia: 138 games...38 goals. Career total: 234 apps....51 goals
