so far CG pretty much has done....however, there is still very little known about his plans for the future. He now has control of the club, and needs to let the fans know where he's going with it!!!!

I think given the level is apparent discontent within the support, CG needs to address many key issues, He (and his staff) need to demonstrate that they are the way forward in order for the support to purchase season tickets. Granted there are a LOT of uncertainties, but there are still a number of questions that CAN be answered. Maybe organising a Q&A with fans would help!!!

or possibly his overall plans on how to run the club & how to finance it may not be Smith & co's preferred way.

The way I read Smith's comments in the Fuller statement is that while CG plans are NOT the way Smith would have done it, he appear content enough that the Emergency is over. As others say, he may just want to play a waiting game now, hoping the CG's plans start to crumble.

You could take it as... Smith's group requested the info. They didn't receive the requested info so decided to place a bid for the club. They have since received that info, and have decided that a takeover is no longer needed ie. CG has the funds etc, and withdrawn.

Why would Smith's consortium require to know " the identity of the consortium members, their strategy and their funding capacity" if they are making an offer to purchase the assets/club etc from CG???

not again....thought we reached agreement on this!!! FACT: CG & consortium had the required funds to complete the buyout, with "some" left over - as confirmed by Malcom Murray. How much that "some" is, we don't know - it may be £30....it may be £3m. There has been no indication from anyone as to what the long term funding is looking like (with the exception of possibly £3-4m expected in the next month - as confirmed by MM)

Someone get the Court of Session booked & see if the guy who ruled on the transfer thing is free....

It is possible that he has struggled, but the only source for that info has been the media....There are only 2 parties that know the exact amounts available - CG and D&P, everyone else is purely speculating.

I'm not a Jig fan. It's clear that he is by no means the most skill full player on the park, but what you do get from him is 100% effort, commitment and a willingness to play anywhere just so that he can play for Rangers. We may well need a player like him in the lower division....

Murray confirmed no such thing!!! He did confirm that they have a little more than the £5.5m purchase price - investment levels most likely changed when the deal did.

Don't know about Utopia....but it would be the common sense thing to do!!!

At least if we go to the 3rd Div....we would be guaranteed more games @ Hampden than Celtic....

Green was the one who put the most credible proposal on the table!!! How many attempts did TBK's have to do that??? Even with one of the countries wealthiest men behind them, they still failed to table a suitable deal & until an inquiry into D&P proves otherwise....that is FACT!!!

IMHO, Bill Miller got the same kind of treatment..."We don't now who you are & we don't want you here!!!" Along comes WS & co..."We know who you are, don't know your plans, but we want you none the less!!!"

I think the idea of basically scrapping the dual SPL & SFL is a fantastic idea - one league structure, run by the national body, with one set of rules & regulations. However trying to rush things through in a couple of weeks isn't the way to do it. If your going to overhaul the league structure it needs to be done properly with the correct regulations in place - BEFORE IT GOES LIVE!!!
