Exactly!!!! The majority that have spoken out so far have blamed the lack of information/communication about the transfer, yet none of them (except possibly Naisy's agent) have held off long enough to actually have a sit down with CG etc to get the full info.
-
Their contract conditions are in tack....so why not transfer over, then demand a transfer (as other have suggested), or pursue transfer clauses etc.
-
EVERYONE is talking about "transparency".....yet how many potential bidders are actually being transparent???
-
There shouldn't be any need for persuasion or compromise. The contracts transfer with the exact terms & conditions - same money, same release clauses etc. I have previously mentioned that MAYBE the players are trying to re-negotiate their contracts (possibly wrongly), and being told NO.
-
Lets be honest.....between McColl, Park and any of the other wealth folk mentioned recently, I'm pretty sure they could stump up £10-12m nae bother. to paraphrase the Godfather "Make CG an offer he can't refuse". Failing that CG needs to come out with clear decisive information about where he plans to take the club & how he plans to do it. I couldn't give a toss about the identity of the investors - providing that the financials and the plans are in place to run & progress the club. Until such time as that happens, the fans will grow more & more skeptical, and those wishing to kick us will get more & more brutal. It's time for all cards on the table - finish this came once & for all.
-
From my VERY limited knowledge of the regulations....doesn't the contract transfer over exactly as is. Maybe the players are trying to use this opportunity to renegotiate contracts (inc. various conditions etc) and being told NO, accept the transfer now & we'll maybe review the contracts @ a later date when things calm down a bit. The players aren't liking this and jumping ship.
-
While I would love to pour scorn on the rumour....with the way things have gone over the past month, anything could be true!!!
-
It gives him the chance to secure no.1 spot, which he's never gonna get with Greegs around!!
-
There is the possibility that CG's not too bothered at the big wages going, so doesn't deem it worthy of a statement.
-
Can't really blame them.... With the way things look to be going, we'd be fielding Jig & Wallace supported by the U17's
-
Or....there is nothing worth commenting on!!! (being optimistic...) Maybe none of the players being mentioned have officially rejected the newco???
-
Not the end of the world if McGregor goes. Hopefully Alexander will see it as the ideal opportunity to become Gers No.1!!!
-
Would payment not be in lieu of services to the oldco??? in fairness, I have no idea how this all works out!!!!
-
I hoped we would keep the likes of Ness, McCabe & Huton - they would provide a fairly solid midfield to build a team around. I think the most disappointing thing about players leaving at the moment, is that we don't know where we'll be playing. If we know its Div3, they players can at least be honest and say "I don't want to play in Div3"...
-
In fairness....Whyte managed them all!!!
-
Technically then, titles from DIFFERENT divisions. From my understanding it is simply 54 league titles....nothing specific to the league they were won. A Div3 title is still a league title!!! The only reason we have only won top tier titles is due to the fact that we've never been out of the top tier.
-
Exactly, what does the 54 (currently) titles refer to??? Is it simply 54 League Titles won, or is it specifically 54 top tier titles. Currently they are one & the same, since Rangers haven't played anywhere except the top tier. The big question is, if were start again in Div3, would those titles won on the way back to the top be added to the current haul of 54??? If it is simply the number of league titles won, I would assume the Div1/2/3 titles WOULD count!!!

Lawyer asks whether SPL clubs sought legal advice
Darthter replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
It could be interested if any other club goes into administration, and the direct cause is shown to be the reduced revenue as a result of not having Rangers. The Directors of said club could then be held accountable....possibly!!! -
I just think it's the whole referee thing over again!!!!
-
The Celtic Supports assoc. have voted unanimously to boycott clubs who rule in favour of keeping Rangers in the SPL. Therefore they are massively influencing, or even forcing the votes of the other clubs. If you vote Rangers in, you loose Celtic gate money....vote them out, you loose Rangers gate money. Where is any integrity in that, never mind anything sporting related.
-
The thing I find most disappointing is that both Naisy & Whittaker claim that they want to play at the highest level, and that they were sick of the uncertainty. Surely if that was the case, you hold off until the majority of the uncertainty is removed ie. next week!!! I can fully understand top players not want to play in Div3, but there is still a slim chance that we'll be playing in the SPL next year. Until the vote is cast by the other teams, no-one knows whats happening and I would have preferred the players to wait until that vote is cast before going public with their decisions. As for the not knowing...Naisy confirmed that he, his agent & CG had a meeting last Friday. Surely CG would have cleared up as much uncertainty as he could???
-
right now, I could care less for the "reasons"....I just want a solution. Once we know where we're playing next season, we can move forward!!!
-
I think that's been the biggest problem over recent years - Agents sh*t stirring!!! I'm pretty sure that if word gets out that a player like McCabe could technically be a free agent, there will be plenty of ears pricking up!!!
-
I actually think think the proposals are pretty fair - providing there are no further sanctions!!! A drop to Div1 would have a hit on our finances, but I believe it would be manageable. Scrapping the SPL/SFL etc and having it under 1 body - makes sense. Having the new board made up of a selection of folk from ALL divisions - sounds fair enough Sharing out some of the SKY money to Div1 clubs to allow Rangers games to be shown - fair enough I would go along with it. The one caveat being that when Rangers return to the SPL, there are no further sanctions. IF we go to Div1, that the end of it, draw a line & carry on!!!

time for Mr green to answer some questions.
Darthter replied to the gunslinger's topic in Rangers Chat
In fairness, no-one (CG inc.) knows what div we'll ber playing in next season. However, I believe that there is still A LOT of info/plans etc that he can divulge to the fans. Hoepfully he's working on some kind of statement or press release which will address a number of questions.
