  1. "Social unrest"......they've been complaining about that before, during & after every OF game for years. RFC out of the SPL will surely reduce social unrest, and is therefore a good thing for society in general.
  2. I'm sure if Brown came to the table with a credible bid, and did so through normal business channels (as opposed to the media), he would get answers to his questions.....
  3. ...and technically a place in Europe!!!!
  4. I would like to hear the official SPL explanation for this!!! Did they actually believe the clubs would change their minds, or were they just looking for a wee bit extra humiliation???
  5. It's now effectively out of his hands. The SPL have said "No", so its now up to the SFA/SFL to sort things out.
  6. lets see what the SFA/SFL do first!!!
  7. We can ask....the SFL may decline and say its DIV 1 or nothing....
  8. It's possible from that statement that Div3 may not happen. From my reading, the SFL have the power to place a team, following successful application, into any division they see fit. That being the case the SFL could place RFC into Div1 anyway!!!
  9. true....however reality is really starting to shine through. I think there may be more than the odd chairman who may (privately) regret being so forthcoming with a "No" vote!!!
  10. It is completely clear from that statement that ANY U-turn would be purely for financial reasons & not for sporting/football reason.
  11. No wonder the SPL are desperate to apply come damage limitation ie Div1.
  12. I think a lot of the problems also come down to the different league bodies etc. As has been stated before, the SPL rules for Administration vary from the SFL rules, and possibly the SFA have different rules guidelines. Something as important as administration/liquidation/newco etc, should be defined at the very top level - the SFA, and apply to ALL registered clubs regardless of size or stature. If the rules/punishments had been clearly defined, we would know exactly where we stood weeks ago, rather than weeks of uncertainty while meetings/votes etc take place. There also wouldn't be any "passing the buck".
  13. Should the specific reasons for a club going into Administration & possible rebirth as a Newco, form the basis of punishment??? By this I refer to the fact that Rangers are getting hammered predominantly because their administration etc was due to Tax debt. Now what will happen if RFC go down to the 3rd Div, and Club X from the SPL enters Administration and has to exit via Newco. If the punishments are not the same as RFC's there will be an outcry, but I can see the defense being "Its a different situation - Club X's debts were not Tax related" I believe that it should be a case of a set punishment, regardless of the overall circumstances, or who the creditors are. These punishments NEED to be clearly defined ASAP (like the Enter Admin = 10 point reduction) before any other club enters this scenario
  14. The only thing that should be aplogised for is the non-payment of PAYE/NI - at the moment, that is the only thing we have been found guilty of. The above quote suggests that we should be aplogising for the use of EBTs etc. Until such time that we are found guilty of EBT misuse, ot dual player contracts etc, any apology should be VERY carefully worded. I also think it would be very wrong of CG to admit responsibility fro actions taken by previous owners/boards etc. They were not of his doing. Again, and comment should be VERY carefully worded, possibly to acknowledge the wrong doings of his predecessors, but certainly not to shoulder any responsibility himself.
  15. That'll not be on the title deeds though, will it??? The deeds to my house say that I am the owner....not the bank that provided the mortgage to buy it!!! (although they actually hold the deeds...)
  16. What's gonna happen IF Bomber sees the title deeds (as requested) and the confirm its Sevco Scotland??? Will he & his consortium then put in a credible bid??? The thing being, by that time, hopefully Rangers will have a league to play in, and the value will most likely go up!!!
  17. That was my thoughts exactly....CG & co have more important things to attend to than proving to Bomber that they own the assets etc.
  18. Green now has a business with no debt - current, historic or potential (BTC). The value will also increase when we know what league we'll be playing in next season. How much do YOU think a debt free Rangers, competing in DIV1 (for example) be worth on the open market???
  19. I think a lot of it rests on the TUPE regulations - if they were followed correctly, then CG have a case for pursuing those players that left. If the regulations were not followed correctly then the players are correct. It all comes down to crossing the T's & dotting the i's......
  20. The bit that kinda annoys me is the constant mentioning of the 75% cut and how noble a gesture it was - which it was at the time. however, there wages have now returned to normal levels regardless of which company was paying them. In my view they simply saw an opportunity to leave & took it without a 2nd thought for the good of the club.
  21. Exactly.....they players too massive paycuts on a temp basis in order HELP the club. The players 1st & preferred choice was for deferred payments - which they didn't get. However they still went without several thousand pounds per week to help the club. Then 1st opportunity they get, they're offski - how are they helping the club now??? I'm just waiting on one of them coming out and saying they left to help reduce the payroll!!!
  22. Smith, Brown TBK's, they have all come out saying how much better their "deals" were.....how much better the club would be run etc. That they were determined to turn the club around, that they were gonna force Green's hand and purchase the club!!! Brown's BS about the title deeds....copies were posted online later that evening (STV website) Smith saying that Green's business plan wasn't the way to do it, yet the details he's mentioned in his own interview look VERY, VERY similar to Green's. The almost constant playing to the media about "we're gonna do this" & "we're gonna do that"....then doing nothing - sounds exactly like BS to me.
  23. Probably for the same reason that none of the millionare fans have not stumped up the cash for a viable takeover either???
  24. ....and Brown & Smith havn't been free-flowing with the bullshit??? And lets not forget TBK's before them.... For the past few months BS has been flying from all angles - especially the press.
  25. So it is personal against CG, not anything to do with his consortium, or their palns for the club???? IMHO....it does kinda show that being a "Rangers man" makes no difference to the business side - they are all in it for the same reasons....
