You took that too far!!!!

Obviously it is all our fault, but the SFL teams will also get blamed for not caving into the SPL/SFA demands for DIV 1. In truth it is all completely out of our hands with regard to voting etc. It could have all been so simple.
-
Don't be silly....why would they do that??? This is all the fault of those pesky SFL teams - nothing to do with SPL or SFA!!!
-
One less thing to beat us with....
-
IMHO, price will increase considerably once we have a league (any league) to play in!!! CG picked up the club @ rock bottom. created a newco with no debt, but with assets. The only part of the jigsaw missing is a league. IF Bombers backers are serious, any delays are simply gonna cost them considerably more cash.
-
Will that be before or after his latest bid???
-
Maybe he's looking to bring in a couple of the subbuteo players???

Clears things up prerfectly...

If Guiness did league reconstruction.....

I'm really starting to get sick & tired of Bomber.... If he & his backers are serious about buying the club from CG, just do it. Sit down with the important folk & thrash out a deal - then shout your mouth off in the press. If he has information about CG, and wants to make it public - do it!!! However, I feel that isn't best business practice, but he should stop with the loaded comments etc. Do things professionally & get the job done. If Bomber has scandal on CG, why not just sell his story to a Sunday newspaper - get a tidy payoff from it, and the info gets out into the open???
-
Lets also not forget that Brown has been asked outright several times about who his backers are....he has refused point blank to name ANY of them, or even reveal ANYTHING about his plans.....and folk complain about CG's level of transparency???
-
Supposedly, we have folk happy enough to invest over £11m (so far) into saving the club - sounds pretty decent to me!!! As for the fans ownership thing....I agree, the fans shouldn't be running the club. A rep on the board maybe....nothing more. You just need to look at the factions that exist between different forums, fans groups and individuals to see that agreement & organisation would be impossible.
-
At least they are getting the important things sorted out.....
-
If Bomber is so serious about his bid & his backers.....why is he not going through normal business channels & procedures??? He's doing all his talking to the media rather than the folk who actual own the club!!!
-
I think if it really came down to it, the club could accept transfer restrictions: - only free agents - under 18's (any value) - anyone up to a certain price ie £500k - only Scottish players This would still limit transfer activity, but at the same time allow the squad to rebuild....
-
Its the uncertainly & the waiting that is the killer. Due to the various league bodies dragging their heels, the club have had to delay ST renewal. Wouldn't surprise me if next Fridays deadline is put back slightly in order to accommodate the SFL decision. Until league membership is confirmed, it's difficult for McCoist to bring in any players. Then there is the uncertainty over the transfer embargo - will he be able to bring anyone in at all. Until it looks like we are capable of fielding a full team, it's only right that fans hold off renewing their season tickets. I do believe that once the league part of it is confirmed, sales will go through the roof!!!

It'll still be us....no doubt about it!!!

Malcolm Murray blamed for blowing chance of SPL reprieve
Darthter replied to UCF2008's topic in Rangers Chat
something just struck me. If Brown takes over, will we then be nicknamed "The Brownies".... -
Everyone is motivated by cash - is that not why doctors were on strike the other week there???
-
ANY profit made by the club should be re-invested - definately.....however, it still makes it a profitable business!!! That has been the problem for so long, there has been no profit to re-invest & the owner was borrowing from the bank to keep the club afloat. As for the shareholders, if they want to make money out of the club, it should be by selling their shares at a profit - they should not be relying on annual dividends. For years Rangers have been making substantial losses on players - we buy high, sell low = loss. Compare that to Ceptic, they generally buy low, sell high = profit. The better the financials are run, the higher the value of the club, and the greater the return on share price!!!

Setting up a wee "taster" Tourney with some 3rd Div teams. Sell tickets cheap & fill Ibrox to give them a taste of what they could expect next season!!!
-
I think McCoist may be reluctant to comment on ST's until it's clear what league we'll be playing in!!! I believe once that is decided, there will be a massive push from the club to get the sales going.
-
Nail, Head & some hitting methinks!!!! At the moment, Rangers don't offer the same glamour that they did a couple of months back. We have lost pretty much all our star players, and currently don't even have a league to play in - not a very appetising prospect for other clubs.
-
Rangers are a business.....not a charity. If run with sound business practices, I see no reason that it can't make some profit. The fact that the club has been run as a "non-profit" organisation could partly be blamed for the current downfall of the club!!!
-
Statement from the club saying that the pre-season tour of Germany has been cancelled. Now we should see about getting some friendlies arranged @ Ibrox!!!
