  1. At the end of the day, if it works its no bad thing!!!
  2. Don't tell Gunslinger!!!! He'll be convinced that Whyte is the Sheriff of Nottingham!!!
  3. I can just hear the conversation: JB: Hey Bazza....how's things??? BF: Aye...no bad Bomber. What this ah hear 'bout you buyin' the Gers??? JB: Dinnae trust the Green bloke....anything green ah dinnae like. So a'hm taking over. What ya think?? BF: Aye goan yer sel big man!!! Roughly translated....Barry Ferguson backs my plan to buy Rangers!!!
  4. by offering to pay (something), it puts us in a good light!!!
  5. No...The CVA settles the debt @ a reduced rate. That is one reason why HMRC refused out CVA - the debt would have been settled @ a reduced rate, and the matter closed. By refusing the CVA, HMRC (and any other creditor I would imagine), can pursue payment via other means.
  6. Possibly agree to pay the football debt in full on the understanding that there are no further restrictions on transfers. Also agree that for a set period (ie. 1yr) all transfers will be paid in a single payment.
  7. I think there may be a compromise reached.....possibly transfer restrictions. maybe age (under 25 for example), wage cap, contract status etc
  8. The embargo is on REGISTERING players....we could sign anyone we want, be we wouldn't be able to play them!!!
  9. I would expect a decision to be immanent, now that the SPL have decided who gets promoted to replace RFC. The sooner a decision is made, the sooner fixtures can be confirmed and any conflicts can be resolved etc. A swift decision has an impact on EVERY Div 3 club, as until RFC are confirmed as playing in DIV3, no team can start making travel plans etc for the forthcoming season.
  10. Anyone know when the SFA are due to action or issue word on RFC's license application???
  11. we just need the SFA license & we're ready to go....
  12. technically, the SPL have nothing further to decide with regard to RFC - they booted us out!!! Any attempt to get us back into SPL or create SPL2 will be booted oot the room.
  13. Definately the SPL AGM @ Hampden....just been announced that Dundee will take the place of Club 12!!!
  14. According to Wikipedia, he's still there!!!
  15. What about Bomber??? Well he's not going to be doing much since he quit his sqouting job, and it doesn't look like he's gonna be running a Football team, so he may as well play in one!!!
  16. I think we have the defence sorted: :na: :kb: :rp: That is providing Boca returns for Div3 (not heard anything to contrary) No idea how the rest of the team stacks up. Jig in midfield/striker role???
  17. I don't think he would resign (officially) until after the SPL AGM tomorrow!!!
  18. A thought on ticketus..... When they lent the money to cw, they insisted on having guarantees in the event that the money couldn't be repaid. That being the case, and the fact that they are £25m+ down, why would they invest MORE cash into the club. They should be persuing their cash through the given securities.....
  19. If/when any of the SPL teams start experiencing financial difficulties, or administration....does anyone think that these teams will offer any kind of apology to RFC??? As far as the SPL goes, they were the ones who unanimously voted RFC out of their league. In fact, they apparently couldn't wait for them to be booted out. Now they are seriously panicking due to the SFL clubs welcoming RFC with open arms into what they believed is the most suitable league (div3). 3 years minimum before RFC get back into the top tier. 3 years with reduced income for all SPL teams. All because they couldn't wait to put the boot in and flex their muscles. Kudos to the SFL teams who stuck to their principles and refused to be rail-roaded by the bully-boy tactics of the SPL & SFL. The SPL could have solved this problem weeks ago, but were unable to do so. Will the SPL clubs who have problems admit that if they had acknowledged the importance of RFC from the outset - I very much doubt it!!!
  20. The SPL chairmen will all now start blaming the SFL....even though they were the ones that initially kicked the Gers out of the SPL!!!
  21. I think initially it will be a bit of a struggle while the whole team/club come to terms with Div3. However I think the club will emerge bigger & stronger than ever before - both on the corporate side & on the playing side. Hopefully the club take the opportunity to develop the youth side of the operation.
  22. Don't know....but we will need to get some player brought in!!! Possibly even on short term deals!!!
  23. It's not up to Green...it's up to the SFL & SFA!!! Like everyone else, I'm sure CG just wants a final decision to made so that he CAN get on with it!!!
  24. So with the the 3rd Div looking like the place to play (pending any further SFA/SPL meddling), I think it will be fantastic for all Rangers fans. While I remain sceptical about the financial side of playing in the lowest divison, I think from a footballing side it will be amongst he most exciting 3 seasons (maybe more...) in the clubs 140 year history. For the 1st time we will be competing for a meaningful result at the top of the league. When you win the SPL, its Europe that's on offer. Being truthful, while it is great to be playing against some of Europe's finest, it is really seen as a bonus for the club. However, in the lower leagues, we're now playing for promotion - something that to meaningful & something to be proud of when achieved. We will also be playing against completely fresh opponents for the next few years - a very welcomed change of scenery. The only time we may get to play against SPL opposition will be in the Scottish Cup (unless we're banned from that...) In summary....BRING IT ON!!!
  25. The big question is....Will SPL2 now go ahead??? If it does, I would find it highly amusing if the clubs "invited" to join, refused the invitation.
