Would you rather play lovely free flowing, crisp passing, but not win as much, or focus on the win and worry about how you did it later. Arsenal are a prime example of this.....they play some excellent football, yet what have they won recently. In saying that, playing attractive football & winning are not mutually exclusive, it's just not too easy to do.

IMHO, right now isn't the time to focus on youth - do that when the transfer window shuts (for the next 18 months). Right now we need to get players in who can do a good job for the next season & a half. Once the window shuts, we can still bring in under 18's.

starting to stray off topic a bit now.... My original question...If not McCoist - Who??? So far we've had Jimmy Calderwood, Billy Davis, Kenny Shiels and Stuart McCall. Is that the best on offer??? All 4 are decent managers, but you knows if they'll turn out better than what we currently have?? Folk should remember that they couldn't wait to get rid of McLeish & get PLG in - that worked a treat!!! Sometimes your better with the devil you know....

But would Shiels take the job??? That's the problem...

If McCoist isn't the man to take the team forward, then who is??? Being in Div 3, are we realistically going to get a top manager to come in??? or could it be taking on a couple of managers who are capable of getting us back to the top, then go for the biggie???

The long ball forward needs to go....build play from the back & retain possession - if you've got the ball, the opposition can't score against you!!! It's all very well & good saying how we want to see the team play, but folk tend to forget that there's another 11 players on the park who aren't in on the game plan - they have their own plan. It is true however, that at times our passing and ball retention is atrocious!!!

McCoists record this season: Played 3 Won 2 Drawn 1 Lost 0 Hardly a sacking offence!!! Time will tell if Ally is ultimately the man to take the team forward, but decisions regard his future should not be made after 3 games and ZERO losses. Out of interest, to those who feel that McCoist isn't the manager to take the team forward....Who do you think is???

My Dad as well.....bluenose through & through. He had a tear in his eye when my daughter who was bout 4 at the time declared that she wanted a Rangers strip. It was just at the Euro final time. My Mum & Dad volunteered to take her down to Ibrox to get the strip - he shed a tear when she tried the top on in the shop. He starting greetin' again when he saw her photo in the Rangers news!!!

Yes....They went into administration, sorted their hoose out and last season turned a profit. Seems quite an appropriate comparison to me!!!
