Simple question..... Now that Boca is away for a year, who should not wear the captains arm band??? McCulloch would be a good shout.....but I also think that Ian Black would be a good call, even though he's just in the door. Think Alexander could be in with a chance as well.

I think now that Hearts are out of Europe, the like of Templeton & McGowan will have a tricky decision to make (if fees can be agreed). If its exposure they want in order to get a bigger move else where, I would say that they are still going to get far more in a Div 3 Rangers team than an SPL Hearts team. I think Templeton would be an excellent addition to the team (always used to buy him in FM...)

Maybe keeping his options open...see what happens against Liverpool tonight!!!

Naismith wasn't passing comment on Rangers, mearly commenting on life @ Everton. However I thought it was worth posting after the display @ the wekend. Naismith was one play, along with Davis who's fitness I could never question - both were all over the park and at times their work effort put the rest to shame.

Noticed a comment from Naismith about his move to Everton: This backs up some of the belief about the Rangers training program being too easy on the players. IMHO, their lack of fitness was all too evident last weekend (and for some time..) It also adds weight to what happened with PLG when he tried to increase training levels & the squad were unahppy.

Picture the scene....its 3 years in the future, and the Scottish football setup is still the same. We have just won div 1 and therefore eligible for promotion back into the SPL. Is there ANY requirement that we MUST go up??? Can a club refuse or simply not apply for SPL membership??? Given that the SPL & SFL are two completely separate bodies, I would think there is no compulsory promotion....

Last week....some wee "diddy" team in the 3rd Div complied...

The club needs to be run as a business...PERIOD!!!! coz that's what it is!!! The idea of the Business board & the footballing board is sound. Any "Rangers men" inc. Walter should not get past the football board - that's what they know about, so thats what they should stick to.

If he's looking for Smith, Greig & McClelland back.....why not just go the whole hog and get Bain, P Murray, D Murray & Johnstone back??? A good solid Rangers board....with a track record, all be it a bad one!!! Let make it like it was before Craig Whyte..... From my position, the current board are doing a fine job so far....lets leave the past as it is, and look forward!!!

I think the thin you've got to be careful of with youngsters is their attitude. At 17/18, they are still impressionable, and suddenly thrusting into the limelight on a full time basis, can have a negative effect. A good example of this (IMHO) was John Fleck. He appeared in the 1st team @ 16 (I think), and according to reports developed a bit of a bad attitude, possibly thinking his skill level was above where it was in reality. By the time he settled his "potential" reputation was ruined& he moved on. Scott Allan @ Utd was similar...played 2 or 3 1st team games, got good reviews and started demanding all sorts of contract improvements. Hopefully Ally is just trying to keep the kid in reality mode which will stand him in good stead for the future.
