  1. In some ways this could be a VERY bad thing if he comes back just now.... His form so far this season has been patchy, possibly his mind has wandered worrying about international status etc. He then seals a loan move for the season which he's just got his head around and comfortable that his international place is secure. That move then collapses and he's back to square one = patch performances. I am confident that Perry & Cribari will improve. Perry hasn't been playing regularly and over the past 2 games has certainly improved. Cribari is still getting used to the game, but has still improved. Add in the other CH's that are on the fringes who are desperate to make an impression if given the chance...I think we'll do fine. Boca will finish his loan and return next year to lead the team to glory (or end up in a fight with Jig for the Captaincy...)
  2. and don't forget their Anti-poppy banner and the "F*** UEFA" banner.
  3. If it's on the Beeb...It'll most likely be a re-run from last season!!!
  4. Priceless....
  5. Depends on the role they played....would generally agree for Board level, but not for levels below.
  6. Unlike Ceptic, who harp on about being in the Europa League last season, and how good an achievement it was. Even though they were there due to a technicality, and went on to get knocked out the same competition twice in the one season.
  7. Celtic reject???
  8. he said that about Wallace for the last game.....then decided to pick Black.
  9. McLeod has been excellent....the media attention (and on here) has mainly been about McKay - due to the role he plays. I feel that what McLeod has been doing has been rather underated by many.
  10. found the quote below from the Steelmen website rather amusing: Stats for season 2011/2012: Played: 4 Ranger won: 3 Drawn: 1 Goals scored: Rangers(8), Motherwell(1) Based on those stats, M/well have a great chance of pumping us - NOT!!!
  11. I think McLeod had kept under the radar somewhat..... He appears to be just going about his job - nothing too flash, just doing what he needs to do, and doing it VERY well. The type of role that McKay plays, tends to draw a lot more focus - he has more of an impact when he comes on. So far, I've been very impressed with both...
  12. That is something we don't want to happen - start being reliant on a single player.....look what happened when Naismith got injured. The team needs to function as a team and be greater than any individual part....
  13. So Templeton's got no abition coz he signed for a team playing in the 3rd Div. His options: 1) Stay with a club who can't guarantee to pay their players on time, and get beaten by Dundee 2) sign for a club who play in the 3rd Div, but still get gates of over 46k - more than any other Scottish Team and 2nd highest attendance in the UK. and are the most successfull team in the country & still command more column inches in the daily papers than Hearts. 3) Sign for an English team in the lower leages with higher wages, play regularly but get completely forgotten about. 4) sign for an EPL side, get massive wages, never play and never heard of again. To me it's a pretty clear choice. Rangers are still getting massive amounts of media coverage regardless of their league. As a result, the english sides will still be more than aware of what he is doing - as will the Scotland bosses!!! By the time RFC are back in the top division, he will have matured into a fantastic player with bags of experience which will, in turn allow him to command higher wages down south, and gives him more chance of actually playing. It will be interesting to see what happens to McGowan over the coming weeks/months/years. Will playing for the "mighty" Hearts see him get a regular spot in the Australian National side, will it see him get a move to a top English side when he plays regularly - I VERY much doubt it. He will play for Hearts for a while then get a move to the English Championship, where he'll disappear into nothingness. In my view, Templeton has shown vision. He wants to join a massive club and help rebuild to former glory. As a result he will gain an impressive reputation and wealth of experience which will stand him in good stead later in his career.
  14. It's obvious....whichever option stuffs us the most!!!
  15. I think McKay will mostly feature as a sub.... The lad has a lot of pace & a willingness/desire to run at defences. If brought on later on in the game when the opposition are tiring, he has the ability to cause all sorts of mischief. It is good for McCoist to have several options in attack - allows for some rotation and altering of game play.
  16. So...did they know who he was, or didn't they???
  17. Francesco Stella - Australian forward. Been training @ MP for the past few weeks.
  18. Just checked the SFA website. Says on there that Stella has signed - possibly still awaiting international clearance.
  19. I'm not a fan of Jig as a midfielder or even defender....However, he has done well up front. I also agree that he has shown great leadership both on & off the pitch in recent months. I am not a fan of your captain playing so far up the pitch. I believe the captain should be in a position whereby he can influence others ie midfield or defence. i think it will be a toss up between Jig & Black.
  20. There were talks about Stella signing as well last night....but not seen anything mentioned yet??? Anyone know??
  21. During the next 2 windows we can still sign under 18's. Once the ban finishes on 1st sept 2013, we are then able to sign free agents of all ages out with the window
  22. allegedly, Francesco Stella's transfer lodged at the same time as Templeton's.
  23. Remember we can still sign under 18's during the next transfer windows. The club need to get the scouts out & scouring the world for the best under 18's possible!!!
  24. rumours that Templeton & Stella getting media photos etc taken @ Murray park.....totally unconfirmed though
  25. The benefit of a keeper being captain is that he can possibly get a more overall view of the game & can possibly direct things a bit better. With so many new faces and youngsters in the team, there ain't an awful lot of choice.
