  1. Ordered mine online...Probably give it to ma Dad!!
  2. Good move by CG...on 2 fronts. Firstly, it shows we aren't greed b******s. we are not doing this for monetary reason - its about principal. Secondly, if the SFA try to change the rules, they are not depriving us of money....they are depriving charity!!
  3. I think the SPL model has been shown to be flawed. It is clearly setup to benefit the wealthier clubs. SFL teams joining the new SPL leagues will not suddenly become cash rich clubs....I don't think they will really be financially better of in the long term. What is the overall benefit of having the SPL.....the football hasn't got any better, the national team hasn't got any better and clubs aren't rolling in cash. The concept doesn't work!!!! Hopefully the SFL clubs will realise this and also realise that they have a VERY strong hand to play....this is even before you start to factor RFC into the equation.
  4. Is it still the case in Scotland that you cannot be tried twice for the same crime??? Elgin have already been fined £25k for the ticket mess....now Lunny is looking to apply further punishment for the same "crime". But then again, we also knoiw that the footballing bodies are above the law and pay no attention to it anyway!!!
  5. As a sweetener to get the league structure pushed through, the SPL should propose that it is run under the guidance of the SFL - a compromise if you will....agree to our plans, and we'll let you run things. The SPL would then be disbanded. Hand up all those who think that will happen.......anyone???
  6. ...and lets not forget the shameful scenes at Tynecastle, when Mr Lennon & Mr Thompson attacked that innocent fan who had got lost on the way to the toilet, and tripped at the edge of the technical area....
  7. could still do a job for us....
  8. Maybe I've misunderstood the article....is the £12m loss a total for the 12 SPL teams, rather than the SPL organisation??? I originally took it to be the SPL organisation, rather than the sum of the clubs....
  9. from some limited reading, it would appear that the person owed the money simply says, "och yer all right....dinnae bother paying that back". Based on that, Hearts were in debt to the SPL for £7.8m, and the SPL simply wiped the slate clean. If this is the case, what was the original debt for, and what were the reasons for writing it off??? And is it a fine example of the SPL assisting a club in financial difficulties??
  10. Most probably...but their Euro crusade will mask it perfectly!
  11. From todays DR: I found the highlighted section of particular interest.....does anyone know exactly what it relates to???
  12. Remember boycotting the match will have as much of an effect on us as it does to DUFC!!!! Look at the flip side....fill the allocation, and show them what their missing out on. Ceptic fans got criticised for boycotting their own team....now folk are wanting us to do the same. I say, show every who really are "The greatest fans in the world!.
  13. A noble thought...but where would you draw the line. We can't help EVERY club that has financial problems.
  14. Did you buy them primarily because they were Addidas, or because you liked the kit?? (be honest...)
  15. I don't believe that football fans abroad will buy a strip purely coz of the manufacturer - they will buy it (& associated stuff) if it looks good & is well promoted. There will be the loyal fans who will buy regardless of brand, but any sales outwith that will be because of how it looks, price and merchandising.
  16. Would folk rather be just another team within a massive brand, or possibly go with something like Puma who MAY want to actively promote the brand more???
  17. The idea being that it created less meaningful games - which I believe will be true for the teams that go into the "middle" league....they will have a lot to play for. However, the teams in the upper section of the bottom league aren't going anywhere, so what have they got to play for. Like wise, the teams in the lower section of the top league aren't going anywhere, so what are they playing for???
  18. I think it could be a winner.....if they kept the Ibrox name in there somehow. The Ibrox Sports Direct Arena
  19. How about someone takes an iPad or similar internet connected smart device to the match at the weekend - should be able to get loads of folk signed up that way!!!
  20. fixed that for you...
  21. I don't see whats wrong with a simple 2 or 3 tier league structure, with 2 up/2 down & possibly a playoff 3rd spot....why complicate things???
  22. The reason given, was for "professional differences"....... I would hazard a guess in that it's either to do with the league reconstruction plans, something to do with fast tracking Rangers, or he's suddenly realised that Doncaster is a t*t of the highest magnitude.
  23. The big question then is....Who should pay the fine??? The "crimes" were committed by the previous company, so they should be liable.....however I'm sure many will argue that because we are the same club, the current company should pay any fine.
  24. I don't think folk would have an issue if they charged an extra 1 or 2 £££, when it starts approaching double, that's when it starts getting a tad ridiculous.
  25. I can understand WHY the clubs are doing it. Come next season, Rangers will be gone (ie. 2nd Division), and it'll be business as usual. They are trying to maximise their income while they can. An extra couple of quid would still make a massive difference to their income, without ripping out the Gers fans....
