I think having the possibility of having more folk attend any given match could prove a massive money spinner.....as they said in "Field of Dreams" - Build it and they will come!!!

Bring on the "Tsunami of money"..... -
I wouldn't mind his wage too much, if his game is up to scratch!!! They way he started the season, he was VERY poor, however if he comes back & creates a rock-solid defense then I'll not complain. If the poor form continues, they we may have a problem - no idea what time he has left on his contract & how much it would take to dispose of his services early (he may agree by mutual consent though...)

Steven Naismith: Leaving Rangers hardest part of my career
Darthter replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
definitely.....ran away 1st opportunity, then now states that he thought he would end his career @ Ibrox. If that's true, why leave in the 1st place??? -
Just though I would mention.... I bought my Dad a copy of "Rangers: The official illustrated History - A Visual celebration of 140 glorious years" for his birthday, along with a copy of the 140 year program from last weeks game. For the 2nd time since I can remember, I think he had a wee tear in his eye. The illustrated history book is excellent - he hardly lifted his head once he opened it!!! The only other time I've seen him with a tear in his eye like this was when my daughter (4 at the time), dragged her Gran & Pa down to the RFC Megastore to get a Gers strip before the 2008 Euro final.

They appear to favour a single owner again....rather than a collective

DR article: The DR runs with a full front & back page splash about nothing, then lucky if Stokes gets a 1/4 page article on Pg6, with a small mention on the front page. Nice to see some "balanced" reporting again...

Why would you think that???? If they did that, I wouldn't blame Alexander if he requested a transfer. He waited long enough in McGregor's shadow - performing well when called upon. Again this season, he has done well - last weekends match being a prime example....nothing to do for long spells, then pulls off a crackin' save.

Our no.1 keeper has played internationally as well - not just a squad member. Remember we are talking about a BACKUP keeper.....Bell is a decent, proven keeper who would do a decent job when required.

Sixty-seven players 'in legal action' over Rangers contract transfer

Who thinks the DR will publish the PFA's full statement on the front page tomorrow??? -

Was there not an issue a while back, possibly to do with Hearts players not being paid. The press were questioning why the Players Union wasn't getting involved. The response was that they were fully aware of the situation, but until such time that a player raised a grievance, there was nothing they could do. Yet from what I've ready so far, this doesn't appear to be the case now??? -
I cancelled Sky sports not as a protest.....but the majority of Rangers games were gonna be shown on ESPN, which I got anyway as part of my package, so no point in paying for the Sky Sports channels.

I would totally disagree..... Our defense has been absolutely shocking at times, if it wasn't for Alexander, I'm positive we would have lost a good few more goals and probably lost a few more points as well. Alexander is an excellent keeper who will be on a lot less money than McGregor was. He's bided his time, and now getting his chance. Cammy Bell would be a could addition as backup.

He's a thought.... In order to purchase shares in the Football Club, would it not then need to become a business entity??? If so...what happens if it again experiences financial hardship - the CLUB dies, rather than the holding company!!!
-
what if that £2m payout, results in a further £5m of investment???
-
As I have said before.... If we want to bring in high levels of QUALITY investment, we need to make it attractive to those investors. They don't care about Rangers Football club - they are only interested in what return they will receive. NO RETURN, NO INVESTMENT!!! If the club is successful, the investors will be rewarded. This in turn will encourage further investment, and hopefully very active market trading.
-
Obviously this will be splashed over the back pages all this week, and the constant topic of discussions on various radio phone ins etc....
-
SPL take note....excellent statement from the countries top football organisation!!!

I we want investment from sources other than the fan base, there needs to be some incentive for them to invest. A large multi-national company/investor ain't gonna put in money just coz its Rangers. They will demand some kind of return. If there is a good return, that will then encourage others to invest, and therefore there is a regular stream of investment coming into the club. A possible reason for the lack of share activity in the past could probably be down to who owned the shares - fans who had no intention of selling them. Change the structure of the shares & include an incentive and I'm positive there will be a more active market for them!!!

even though they're celebrating 125 years....after only 124!!!!

Read a snippet in the paper, that in the US any petition only needs 25k signatures for it to be heard by congress. but in the UK, a county with less than 10% of the US population, we require 4 x as many signatures before out government take notice....good to see the UK government likes to take notice of its population!!!

Was watching some of the highlights from recent reserve games on RTV last night....was quite impressed!!! Thought Jamie Burrows looked good. Also Fran Stella looked to have some decent skill/touches. There were also another couple of players who caught the eye, but can't remember their names. Wouldn't surprise me to see a few more of these youngsters getting a run out in the 1st team in the coming weeks/months
