Has there been any Media reports (papers, online etc) that have actually praised the proposed setup??? All I have seen is folk saying it won't work....While I don't quite agree that it won't work, I just can't see how there's gonna be any real improvement. From my understanding, the main focus once the leagues split will be in the middle promotion/relegation league - that's where teams really have something to fight for - if this is the case, are the main sponsors gonna be happy with that???

One big question I think should be answered..... The Swiss FA have come out over the past couple of days stating categorically that the 12-12 into 8-8-8 setup didn't work, and they have reverted back to a simple, straight forward league structure which has seen crowd numbers increase significantly. This being the case, what do the SPL/SFL/SFA plan on doing differently to the Swiss setup to ensure that the plans are a success??? The only part of the proposed setup which might add any excitement is in the middle division when it kicks in - teams will truly have something to play for....but what about the teams at the bottom of the top section, or the teams at the top of the 3rd section (if that makes sense...). If you finish bottom of the top section, there is no relegation, likewise if you finish top of the 3rd section, there is no promotion, so what are these teams playing for??? What is wrong with a simple, straight forward league structure with an automatic x up/down with another playoff spot??? That way we can then focus on what is happening on the pitch & make sure that the best product possible is on display. Couple that with a total review of ticket pricing....possibly introducing a price cap on ALL domestic tickets.

Never been a big Miller fan.... With the exception of his final 1/2 season, where he scored his most goals ever in a season, he was never particularly prolific. Granted he did a lot of running and put in a lot of effort, but his goal stats were fairly poor to average for a seemingly top striker. The club need to look forward, not backwards. They should be out scouting for new talent, that can be brought in cheap, then possibly sold at a later date for a handsome profit.

Read on the Gers web site that Kane Hemmings has gone on loan to cowdenbeath.... According to the article:

they really do not have an ounce of shame

but I bet you'd view it in a considerably more positive light, but because THEY do it, its shameful. -

If it was your kid in that situation, who was handed a Starbucks coffee, a Kindle Fire HD and some Falafel by Neil Lemmon.....would you refuse it, knowing that your sick kid would be heartbroken???? -

So, all the pictures in the paper in the past week of both Rangers & Celtic players visiting sick kids is purely a PR Stunt??? While I don't doubt that there is a fairly large element of PR involved (hence why the photographers were there), I also believe that it is probably something that the players (as privileged as they are) are quite happy to do. If they are happy to help local sick kids, I don't see whats wrong with wanting to help other sick kids at a well known hospital. What if Rangers had done it??? Would your views be the same, or would it have been a wonderful gesture??? -
CG's in a no-win situation IMO.... If he states how much Ally has available to spend, he'll be critisised if he doesn't spend it all..... If he states too low a budget figure, he'll be critisised for not giving Ally any/enough funds to spend..... If he states too high a budget figure, he'll be critisised for giving Ally too much to spend given the division we're in..... If he just says that Ally will have money to spend, he'll be critisised for not stating how much.....

Now that the clubs shares are being actively traded on the open market, will all those folk who demanded to know the true identity of all initial stakeholders be demanding to know who is buying/selling their shares on a daily/weekly/monthly basis??? From my understanding of the stock market, share percentages may fluctuate on a fairly regular basis eg.

22 million more reasons for people to hate us...

What happens with the excess shares??? Can they not still be sold by the club on the open market??? -
How many would actually make a successful business??? In reality, it's only gonna be Rangers or Ceptic - they have the fan base, and the international recognition.

SPL/SFA take note.... A dispute had arisen, but was dealt with in a grown-up and dignified manner. The issue is now resolved, all in the space of 2 days.

We need to focus on the funds that we DO HAVE, not what we could have if we din't pay x,y or z. Paying out £2m in order to bring in £12m (example figures), ain't bad, providing that we use the £12m wisely rather than blow the potential £14m on a couple of dud players.

There have been a few posts recently with that general tone (Not necessarily FS...).

I'm not business minded....even with a set of accounts I wouldn't be able to determine if we're financially sound or not. What I do know is that at the start of the year we weren't doing particularly well on the financial front.....whereas no we appear to be pretty stable. Importantly, we have a team out on the park playing football, and everyone appear to be getting paid when they should. The club also appear to be wanting to progress as a business and make itself more self-sustainable. The setup/people/trusts/investors etc that are in place at the moment appears to be allowing that to happen.....

As long as the club is being run correctly....does it REALLY matter??? Personally, I couldn't really care, as long as the club is still playing, is financially sound and is seen to be actively trying to improve/better itself. I believe its a good thing to have the ownership split over multiple people/groups etc....no ego's got get over inflated.

Just a wee point of comparison.... The Hearts share offer runs until the 19th, and has been running a few weeks longer than the RFC scheme. I read a report stating that only have the allocation had been bought so far - about £800k raised so far. For Hearts the cash that this brings in is absolutely vital to the survival of the club, yet the fans are not digging deep. OK, we are doing things on a grander scale than Hearts, but we're still talking about bringing in significant sums of cash.....

also the best according to some....

but, you'd expect them to put loads in though???

How would you define the "right" person???

A few months ago, many folk on here were crying out about the clubs ownership - "We should never have one person in charge again" were the cries. However, now that the club is effectively owned by multiple people/trusts/organisations, I am noticing a shift....people have been moaning about multiple, faceless entities owning part of the club, and I am detecting some subtle hints that some folk would like to see a single wealthy owner again, that can support the club financially - Ian McColl's name being mentioned again..... Do fans REALLY know what they want ownership-wise, and do the fans REALLY know what is best for the club at a corporate level in order for it to progress and remain financially sound???

just don't put the match under yer bollocks!!!!

ANYTHING that gets the share issue into the papers at the moment is probably a good thing.....

I believe it should read Nice & white - mine are! I'll lend you one without any problems. Remember to buy some cream for that nasty rash as well.
