Why do folk think it is OK to do it at a football ground then???? They know if they were to display the banner anywhere else, they would get into trouble.....but believe it is fine to display it at a match - doesn't make sense to me. What makes this worse for me is that fact that the banner was displayed at a reserve match, where possibly there would be a larger number of young fans compared to a 1st team match. The club appear to be trying to encourage more young fans to attend, but if banners with offensive language are displayed I would think twice about taking a youngster.

through choice....not legal obligation!!!
-
Something to consider.... What would happen to you if you unfurled that Mike Ashley banner in the middle of Argyll street??? There is a good chance you would get lifted by the polis & yer knuckles rapped. So, why is it suddenly different when you are within a football ground???

It's not one rule for us & one for them. we have paid certain debt through choice - we had no legal obligation to pay ANY of them. The SFA stipulated that we should pay football related debt in order to get our playing license, something that if there was time, we could probably have challenged since the SFA have no rule concerning football debt (note: There is in Engerland). If we were to offer to pay the HMRC monies, RFC would then be admitting liability, which simply isn't the case - this debt was run up by actions of Craig Whyte, not Rangers Football Club. If we opt to pay, HMRC will have to drop any legal proceedings into Whyte. All previous debt was run up by the Oldco in order to run the club.....however, I would like the club (not publicly) to try to reimburse the smaller companies for monies lost. If its done publicly, the media will be all over it, and not in a good way.

banners should be to encourage the team, to show support.....not to upset or offend anyone!!!
-
I'd ban any banner that is not directly football related. Telling an investor to F*** off is not football related, neither is a banner about Alex Salmond. Rangers are a football club, any banners displayed should be for the "benefit" of the team on the park.

...and coming up next from Mr Spiers, his new publication - "How to contradict your self in one easy sentence - An idiot's guide"

I don't see any problem.... ANY visiting team will use somewhere to train. If it isn't MP, then it will be some other ground. Why should we not make use of our top notch facilities and make a few quid from it (assuming there is a charge of some kind) This is only being made into an issue due to the Juventus situation last week, and the fact they were Celtic's opponents. How many other teams have trained @ MP over the years???

If I recall correctly, when Malcom Murray was first appointed, CG made a point of saying that Murray had the power to fire CG. If that is true, MM is higher up the tree, and therefore it's not right that CG should be demanding that he goes. As with all media "stories" I will take this with a pinch of salt until any concrete evidence/quotes etc come to light.
-
Hopefully its the start of CG's media revolution, with more quality programming to follow.

Thought it was a good program. I liked how the focus was very much on the effects of what had happened, from the players point of view. There was also no bitterness, or resentment etc that came across, thus giving a nice balanced view.

While I don't think they will stay after the summer....I would like to see Boca retained. I think he would take control of the shoddy defense & pass on a wealth of experience to the likes of Perry & Hegarty.

I know....but its from a Ceptic fan, therefore it is meant in jest and can't possibly be meant as a serious threat...
-
presumably dropping Shiels???

With Kane Hemmings load @ Cowdenbeath due to finish at the end of the month, and the fact that he's scored a number of time for the Blue Brazil (four goals in 5 games, I believe), he's obviously going to be a welcome return. However, how do folk see him fitting into the side??? I felt that in the last game, Temps, McKay, Shiels & Little all appeared to work well together. If this continues would Hemmings be rotated with Little or Shiels????
-
quite like Tennant.... I'll stick with Grant, would would have no objection to Ricky Gervais.
-
would it have been mentioned if Ceptic had won???? Only in the context that they had overcome such a terrible tactic, to snatch a momentous victory.
-
I don't have a problems with it....last I checked Football wasn't a non-contact sport, yet whenever there is a bit of contact, players go down or free kicks are awarded. A wee bit of pushing & shoving to get a bit of space in the box aint't a problem. If players can't handle it, they need to "man-up" a bit, or go play tiddlywinks with the girls.

Hugh Grant would get my vote....

or possibly the DR a bit late with their info.... Edit: Just seen McCoist's comments on the RFC website....confirms interest, but stresses no deal has been done.
