He's away collecting Lawwell's dry cleaning apparently. -
It's been happening all too often this season - we should be the ones doing the "bullying".
-
Its not a case of having a "decent Rangers squad"....McCoist has what he has & has not done anything overly positive with it. Even a clapped out old Ford Fiesta can be turned into a decent runner with the right know how. I don't think anyone is looking for or expecting a side that is capable of challenging in Europe or winning the SPL at the moment, but they are expecting to see something better than what we're getting at present. they are expecting to see signs of a team in rebirth. A team trying to establish a style of play that will be enhanced as the team moves up the leagues & adds a better quality of player. It's simply not happening. The current team are lumbering from one match to another, happy to simply get a win.

What else can follow on???? This should be the end of it. -
I agree that Jig should play up front - alongside Little. However, the defense is VERY poor at lack any leadership. In order for this issue to be minimised, the team need to push forward more - keep the opposition on the back foot. Unfortunately this isn't happening.

How long is long enough???? So far McCoist hasn't really shown any signs of being a good manager. (can't believe I'm going to say this...) When you compare McCoist to Lemmon, there is a clear difference. Lemmon started of a bit iffy, but he has since matured and has got his side generally playing well with only the odd exception. So far McCoist has shown no improvement in his style of play. The team are still an organisational shambles, as are the general tactics.

I think it may be another case of "say it often enough & it becomes fact" - something that they are VERY good at across the city....
-
If we were romping every game 3,4,5 - nil then there wouldn't be a problem with testing a rookie keeper, however that (generally) isn't happening. As shown last night, we went one up, then tried for a 2nd (in the 1st half) with no luck, then really struggled for a winner after they equalized. Alexander had a good save to his left to prevent Stirling taking the lead - a rookie may not have made the save & the game lost. The team as a whole needs to be performing more comfortably, more often before experimenting with such a crucial position.

When is the RFC edition coming out??? -
Reports on the RFC website saying that McCulloch could be due for a return shortly. If that is the case, would it be prudent to have him back in the center of defense, rather than up top. A the moment Andy Little is doing a fine job of scoring, but the defense is a complete shambles....Could big Jig bring a bit of organisation to that area, and show a bit of leadership from the back???
-
I think it all goes back to the training ground..... How many decent ball did we put into the box from free kicks??? How many corners managed to get past the first defender??? How many passes went astray??? How many kick-outs from Alexander were won by the opposition??? These are all things that should be perfected on the training ground. The chap McAnespie of Stirling didn't seem to have any bother putting in a quality free kick into the box - how long do you think he gets on the training ground to work on his free kicks??? I'm sure the question has been asked before - What exactly does an average days training consist of @ Murray Park??? and how does it change through out the week ie. game approaching??
-
A point that was raised in the commentary at the start of the game......There were probably a number of the Stirling players who had already done a days work BEFORE the game!!!! Yet, even against 100% full time professional players with top of the line training facilities, they still looked the stringer team at the end,
-
....Maybe Charles Green should get onto Tesco's......another possibly revenue stream!!!!
-
I thought we were quite luck to finish with 11 players on the park - there were a few starting to lose it....
-
I've seriously watched several games this season, and thought that a number of the opposition could greatly improve our squad. There are a good number of them that know how to whip in a dead ball - something that we are COMPLETELY missing.....and there have been many more who know how to get on the end of a cross....
-
it's tactical.....
-
Note to the Rangers team: We are the ones playing in Blue!!! Good first half - looked fairly comfortable and in control. Dire second half. 2nd to EVERY ball. passes all short. NO movement No desire No grit No determination No discipline Too many individuals, not enough team. VERY poor 2nd half. I still believe though that we have the makings of a very good side....however, there is something missing. It's like having a 6-pack of lager, but missing the plastic bit to hold them together. Thought Stirling played well. There were determined, composed and played some decent football. They played well as a team.

That's why their season tickets are down...too busy buying strips!!!!
-
the wife & wee yin are out tonight, so I will probably pay the £6 for the game (even though I subscribe to RTV)

Looks like Perry is in for Cribari. Sandaza doesn't even make the bench - Naismith taking that spot!!! could be interesting to see how Perry & Hegarty get on together.....
-
I think some folk need to make a decision whether they are going to a match to support the team or to protest.....
-
Doesn't make it right though....
-
According to McCoist, both Sandaza & Perry will be available to the weekend's game. We will soon see how McCoist handles the situation....the team has done well over the last 2 games - will he risk upsetting that in order to give Sandaza and/or Perry a game??? Kal Naismith is also available. Personally, I would like him to stick to the same starting 11. Depending on how the game goes, then maybe give Fran a run out.
