Q and A Rangers Accounts - Green And Stockbridge

you could argue (from a certain point of view) that the point still stands....no money was received from stadium naming, and no money was paid for the player!!! or is that pushing things somewhat??? -
Q and A Rangers Accounts - Green And Stockbridge

Doesn't really stand up though...what about the 6-8 months that Ally was in charge BEFORE the real trouble began??? Plenty of pre-season, Euro, cup & league matches then..... -
Arshavin, Lampard & Malouda could do a turn in Div2????

Buying one or two to bolster the squad ain't a problem. However some of the young guys have shown this season that there is a helluva lot of potential in the younger ranks - these players need to nurtured & developed in order to attain their full potential. Buying in players like John Daly isn't gonna help youngsters like Hemmings/Naismith or Perry/Hegarty. If we are buying players in, they should be younger, up & coming players. Then they can either flourish and be long term players, or they can build their reputation & skills and be sold on at a hefty profit. Players like Daly, Kyle, Cribari, Boca & Goian will have absolutely NO RESALE value. How critical is their experience in the lower leagues???? I'm sure one of our recent opponents had an average age of about 23 (according to the commentary), and they still made a decent game of it. A clear vision for the future is definitely required, both from a playing side & a buying side. -
Rangers aren't ready for the SPL at the moment.....and neither are the fans (IMHO). There is probably still a lot of resentment & hostility towards many SPL clubs (quite rightly too...). If we were jumped back into the SPL, there would be a lot of ill feeling from both sides, which could escalate into further trouble - which we would obviously get blamed 100% for... Now that all the major investigations have been found in our favour, I think another season in the lower leagues at least is required to let all those feelings settle somewhat. It would also give the club a chance to enhance the squad to something more suitable to tackling the SPL. When we return to the top, we want to ensure it is to the top & not mid-table!!! We also want to ensure that the fans continue to show why they are the best, and don't get drawn into possible conflict with the opposition.

not bothered about that....but it would be useful if some knowledgeable Accountant type could give an overview (in plain english) as to the status of the club - is it good/bad/indifferent etc
-
If McCoist actually wants to play a long ball/punt & run type game, he needs to ensure that our guys can at least win the ball - been relying to much on picking up the oppositions knock-downs recently.

BBC Scotland report NO titles to be stripped but are fined £250K
Darthter replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
better add the First tier tribunal, and the SPL Independent commission to that list as well since they have now deemed the EBT to have been "above board and kosher". Don't forget to add the question "why did they tell everyone the it was above board & kosher????" Coz it was!!! -

How can it "not be an SPL matter"???? They were the ones who setup the inquisition/investigation/witch hunt...... -
Blow for Cowdenbeath as Rangers recall Kane Hemmings
Darthter replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Hemmings recalled early....he'll no play. Maybe get on the bench. -
Looks identical to the mock up I did last night - based on the current Italy top.

It wasn't "Evasion"....Whyte just simply didn't pay it. I believe this is a common tactic used in business when a company has cash flow issues, and something HMRC are actively trying to crack down on. I think normally companies would maybe do it for a couple of months in order to sort out their cash flow. The big concern was that HMRC let Whyte carry on doing it for so long before they took any action.

What was the transfer embargo originally for??? IMHO, the simplest thing would have been: - docked 10 points for administration - docked 100 points for failing to exit admin via CVA. This would have seen us relegated to DIV 1 Job done. No bad blood etc

I actually like the part about ambitions. If they are serious, it could be VERY good for all involved. Both Blackthorn & us applying "pressure" to Puma to promote the merchandise.

can't really disagree with that.....If I had spent more time, I could probably have found better tops to use. I guess we'll just have to wait & see what eventually comes out!!!

greatest call ever last night , well done BRIAN , who ever you are
Darthter replied to rbr's topic in Rangers Chat
Thoroughly enjoyed SSB last night.... Jim Ra Tim & Andy Walker desperately clinging to the view that we committed a most heinous crime - we were furtive, sleekit & DELIBERATELY didn't tell the SPL about the tomes of extra financial & legally binding documentation. In fact the situation was more like "do we need to tell the SPL about these letters??? Nah, they're fine!!!" -
The only annoying thing for me is there is still a connection with them.... - Both have cider sponsors - Both sponsors are part of the same group on the plus side, it's not an identical sponsor. Ideally, I would have liked to have seen a complete move away, but its only for a year, so we'll see what happens after that.

Has anyone compiled a list of all our "alleged" crimes and associated punishments over the last 18 months??? It would be interesting to see in black & white & the benefit of hindsight how many of these "crimes" we have now been vindicated of.

Not really a fan of the ones I did....just grabbed a couple from the website. Quite like UCF2008's though!!!
