There are a number of 1st team players that the same applies to - Mcleod, McKay, Aird, Naismith, Mitchel, Crawford. If these players can continue their development with us & not get greedy for the bright lights & bumper paychecks of Engerland, then the future is bright!!!

I think the content of the report will determine how the board exits this problem. If it is shown - 100% categorically - that CG did have contact with Whyte through 5088, but nothing with Sevco Scotland onwards, then I think the current non-execs will stay. If there is any doubt about ANY ongoing connection, I think they will resign. if all comes down to the quality of evidence that is "submitted"

That is indeed a rather worrying statement. If one of the clubs who were involved in the discussions doesn't know the reasons for the "all or nothing", then who actually does. Is it simply a scaremonger tactic???

they got them - personal ones.....that's why its looking like he's in the hole for £18m at the moment and not the Oldco.

I was under the impression that's exactly what he did do!!!! Hence why the guarantees he gave were pretty much all of a personal nature, or from other companies hes was involved in - no guarantees connected with RFC.

The big question now is: Will the 10 SPL teams sit & sulk in the corner throwing evil glances @ St Mirren & County, or will they get back round the table to continue discussions???

I had never really thought about a 14-14-14 idea until someone mentioned on Fridays Football phone in. Everyone plays each other twice - 26 games, then split into 2 groups of 7, who play twice - 12 games = 38 games for the season. It also gives each team 2 home & 2 away ties. Alternatively if they don't want to increase the size of the league...go back to leagues of 10 - everyone plays each other 4 times with no split. nail & head springs to mind.... There are other formats out there which will provide an much easier system, but for whatever reasons they have been thrown out the window, or just plain ignored.

County maybe be SPL new boys, but they have worked their way through the leagues. They probably have a better view of Scottish football as a whole, than anyone else....

as long as its done swiftly & effectively. The longer the process goes on, the less effective, the results.

Similar to Mad Vlad @ Hearts - he has no official involvement in the running of the club, hence why he can come out with all sorts of comments about Refs etc, without facing any SFA punishment.

Not seen McCoist admitting anything. Folk reading between the lines of what he's said may certainly indicate certain issue, but he's certainly not admitted anything. From memory, there was never anything published about Neil Murray's reasons for leaving the payroll, however it would appear to be amicable since they are still using his services on a consultancy basis. As for Pip Yeates....all reports stated he left of his own choice.

a swing of 13 places since January....terrible!!! Those great footballing nations of Cape Verde, Haiti, Equitorial Guinea, Bolivia & Burkina Faso are all ranked above us, yet we have practically a full team of players who play in one of the worlds "best" leagues.

My reading of the post was that it was connected with Whytes original takeover (ie. company now referred to as Oldco) - nothing connected to the company currently running the club at all. The suggestion being that the SPL are effectively trying to do what we did last year.

What really gets me with all this PC sh*te is that the person that the original comment was directed at doesn't appear to the the one that is offended - it's all the other people that have heard about it 2nd/3rd/4th hand that are up in arms. Has anyone thought to get Imran Ahmed's thoughts on the matter??? Saying that CG should be knowledgeable enough to know that this is how things work, and should have been more careful with his comment.

Don't recall seeing ANY evidence that this is the case.....the "scandal" at the moment is all surrounding dealings with Whyte last MAY. Not seen anything to clearly indicate that he is "still involved" at the club.

Possibly multiple/separate deals & transactions. Initial deal for £18m, then followed by another "advance" of several more millions......
