  1. If he really wanted to join us and Anderlecht have went back on an agreement he should do a Jelavic and go public with his desire to leave and sign for Rangers. My only hope is if he does do it that it doesn't drag on as long as the Jelavic will he won't he saga
  2. if the siging of juhasz happens would you think that would end our interest in Carlos Cuellar ? personally I'd love to see Carlos back but feel it seems less and less likely the longer it goes on, I know he is injured and unavailable just now but would have been nice to have had some sort of idea on whether or not it was on cards from him.
  3. Of the players signed so far Ortiz haven't been overly impressed by him but I'm willing to give him time to settle and hopefully make a name for himself Wallace i have been pleasantly surprised with knew he was a good player at Hearts but have been pleased with how quickly he seems to have settled in to our team Goian haven't seen enoug to fairly judge him thought he looked comfortable and assured against St johnstone but like Ortiz will give him time to settle in. Bartley I'm pleased we have got him back I liked the look of him last season before his injury so hoping he will pick up from where he left off. Bedoya I don't know anything about TBH as for other business and players we have missed out on my only wish is that we do our business more privately from now on I feel it has been all to public so far and is making new board look amateurish when failing to bring in targets.
  4. We still have Darren Cole aswell who can play at right back I thought he looked ok against Bursaspor last season bit nervous but that was understandable would he be long term answer might ? I think it might be too early to throw him straight in though
  5. Good Luck Madjid for the future Thanks for the memories and for playing a part in helping our team achieve 3 in a row.
  6. I Agree mate as I tried to say yesterday he will have to move on from this and come back a stronger person and player He'll know himself what he did was wrong and wil have to suffer the consequences probably a fine and maybe losing his place for a few weeks, but at end of day he is still a Rangers player and I back anyone who pulls on that jersey and plays for us through good times and the bad
  7. Also worth mentioning that he is completely new to negotiating for players and hopefully he will learn quickly from his failed dealings and get a few more faces in before close of window. overall I am happy with his contribution so far signing McGregor and Davis to long term deals is something we wouldn't have seen happen without his takeover.
  8. Well said mate We need to get behind the team for whole season each and every member of the squad
  9. Yes what he did was wrong and costly and rightly he should be fined and dropped Scapegoat perhaps wrong wording then whipping boy more suitable term and by that I mean how long will he be slated for it is it going to be every time he does something wrong or misplaces a pass ?. We all know at times it is easy for fans to get on certain players backs and imo that won't benefit our team in long run as our squad is already threadbare and having a player scared to try anything when on pitch won't help.
  10. I'm not missing the point mate I have said what he did was wrong and there is no excuse for it he should be punished and rightly so my only concern is however when he does play again be it next week or a few months that people will constantly get on his back and that won't help us in long run as imo he is a confidence player.
  11. People are entitled to their opinions mate I agree he hasn't lived up to expecations I just don't agree with making him the scape goat it happens all too often at Ibrox when a player s lacking form and we the fans get on their backs Adam and Edu classic examples it does nothing for the players and IMO leads to more poor performances as they are terrified of making more mistakes
  12. I agree he is better suited playing further forward than at right back but I feel he deserves a chance to at least atone for his mistake. in an ideal world we'd still have Alan Hutton as right back but can't see that coming off anytime soon.
  13. Firstly that wasn't a dig at you mate I meant it in General Whittaker let everyone down last night mate and was at fault for first leg goal but he can't be blamed for everything not one of our players outwith McGregor performed in first leg Whittaker has been poor so far this season but he's a confidence player mate and when he's on his game contributes to the team imo a fair bit. he does however have to give himself a wake up call now Cousin let us down during a semi final of Uefa Cup had we went out he'd have been blamed solely for that and his was as equally as daft a sending off that's point I was trying to make, Yet when he scored against them some viewed it as him redeeming himself
  14. Some people need to get real Whittaker himself will know he has let us and his teammates down as well as Ally but he will just have to come back from this like everyone who makes a mistake does. no one is worth £20k a week but who can say honestly they wouldn't take it if it was offered to them ? You can't blame him for that. I remember a classic example a few years back on another forum were Daniel Cousin was sent off against Fiorentina and people were sayiong get rid of him and he should never play again, then a couple of month later he scores a screamer at the phiggery and all is forgiven and same people calling for his head loved him again we are all disappointed but it's times like this we should rally together and get behind team and Management
  15. I think we are a big Club in a small League and imo it is the League what is holding us back. however I agree on a European stage we are now looked at as minnows. Until something drastic happens like an Atlantic League or something similar happens we will stay as we are looking at the best of domestic market and cheaper alternatives on the continent like Ortiz. I don't think we will ever see the days of a Numan or Van Bronckhorst signing again and by that I mean Quality players with there best years ahead of them. I don't blame the club for position we are in because if I were a foreign player of decent standing I wouldn't want to play in SPL against same teams 3 and 4 times a season.
  16. Now that it seems to be finally over I can say I'm disappointed we missed out on a player who i think would have been a great addition but at same time I feel the fee involved is to much for him. i am surprised he has chosen to join Blackburn though as they are hardly a club who look like they will have a good season or even show any faith in the current manager for a sustained period of time.
  17. Malmo 1 Rangers 2 Jelavic, Davis I really hope we get an early goal and unsettle them from the off
  18. Super Ally clearly wants him in and I'd happily take him just makes you wonder though why we didnt just match their asking price i first place was always risk of some other club coming in for him. Hopefully today we will see an end to this saga one way or the other
  19. Any idea's how much we have offered now ? I would like to see Goodwillie signed but getting fed up with the will he won't he scenario
  20. Is that just your opinion mate or is it inside info ?
  21. Sound enough debut but as has been mentioned was tested all that much. looks like he could be a good addition to the team and add a threat from set pieces for us especially if Lee Wallace delivers balls like he did for Naismith on Saturday. Also a wee side note doesn't Goian have a better goals per game ratio at international level that the big Greek tranny who wears number 9 for them ?
  22. man of match for me was Steven Davis would have been nice to see him score after his 360 turn towards the end of game
  23. Time to put the right offer on table then or we will lose out on Goodwillie I'd offer £1.7m + Fleck on loan for season that imo is a fair price and we get benefit of hopefully seeing Fleck benefit from a run of games in SPL
  24. should be looking for a fee for him albeit not a big one but wouldn't let him move for free
  25. How do these panels work that decide on work permits ? always seems to be some sort of confusion when we are applying for one yet Celtic get one for the only Kenyan Celtic fan no problems and the new wonderkid Koki Mizuno who would light up the SPL with his skills. I'd have though an established International who had previously been playing in Serie A would have met criteria easily
