    I wouldn't go above what is on table just now for him especially knowing he has signed a deal to join in January, I think our priority for midfield just now has to be an out and out ball winner to take place of McCulloch and Edu and play centrally beside Davis.

    Would think they'd have sanctioned sale of Scott Danns before going into administration ? got to feel for the fans from high of winning first trophy in years to possibly facing Administration

    I think that is a bit harsh on Bougherra mate granted he isn't as good as he thinks he is but I still think his performances in Champios league and World Cup recently prove he can perform at a decent level, maybe not top 6 in Premiership but he would still do a decent job for some teams.

    Two possibly Three centre backs are needed, Ideally Cuellar + two others if Bougherra wont sign a new deal and a striking partner for Jelavic is required as good as Lafferty finished the season who would have confidence in him doing it all year round ? also would like a good defensive midfielder McCulloch does ok but would still rather see a more natural midfield player in there, I feel we have missed Kevin Thomson in there

    Jamie Murphy would be a great signing, still feel we need to sort the defence out first though if Bougherra is to leave we will be left short at back. Carlos Cuellar is ideal option but won't be ready to play for a while yet so would need someone who isn't Kirk Broadfoot to play straight away. Johnny Evans from Man Utd on loan has been rumoured maybe something in that with Man Utd having Jones and Smalling as back up to Ferdinand and Vidic now.

    Although I'm disappointed we haven't managed to bring more new faces in by this stage I am not disappointed with how things are going I like the fact Mr Whyte is prepared to play a waiting game and get best possible deal for our club

    I wanted Novo to sign as well mate but there would have been many at the time who would have said it was a lack of ambition at the time Marvin was limited to say the least but IMO he still became a popular player and important part of that title winning team again though mate just in my opinion and used just those two of examples of players who came from smaller clubs who went on to do a job for us.

    Don't know much about Murray davidson tbh but will only help our cause having another body in the squad

    Nacho Novo came from Dundee after a spell at Raith just one of a few recent examples of players who can make step up Marvin Andrews is another might not have been the signings every fan craved but both had good successful spells with us.

    Broadfoot to the left back and move Sasa in one for this game Broadfoot scares me at centre half never felt comfortable with him their since he let McDonald turn him and score a few seasons back. If we do sign Wallace that might change line up again

    I'd imagine Wallace would come straight in as first choice left back not that I think that would be fair on Sasa but just think Wallace would add something different from Sasa, that's what made me think Papac might be seen as cover for both left back and Centre half positions

    Lee Wallace will be a good signing imho but would you see his arrivalk if it happens as an indication of Papac being used as cover for central defence ?

    Champions League Group stages and from then on in just have a go at it and try to avoid any embarrassing or morale crushing defeats. Hopefully Ally will surprise everyone and be a tactical genius

    I am looking forward to the start of new season and would love to see a McCoist domestic treble, however should we qualify for Group stages of Champions League I'd be inclined to play a weakened team in League Cup games and hopefully they will be good enough to progress through rounds anyway. For me, my expectations are: SPL - Winners Scottish Cup - Winners League Cup - Winners (or Ideally I'd play younger and fringe players in this Squad size permitting) Europe - Champions League Group Stages. Brand of Football - Attack minded football especially at home I'd like to see us go with two wide men and two main strikers when possible.

    Is Cuellar not over the injury now ? am sure I read somewhere he was hoping to be fit for openiong day of season ? obviously our season might start too soon for him but if he is over injury medical should be a formality should it not ?

    Strange choice going to Blackpool though if he does move good luck to him where ever he ends up but can't see Blackpool going straight back up next year.

    Only a matter of time before Modric signs for Chelsea now Harry will just be trying to get best deal possible for Spurs my prediction probably around �£30m + Drogba or Anelka

    Not overly concerned by the results so far these games as disappointing as they have been are mainly for fitness Hopefully the team will get new additions in for the Hearts game and get a positive result

    Thats my argument though I thought and still do that Andy Webster was signed before Walter returned so wouldn't class him as Walters signing my mate is adamant that the signing was initiated by Walter though. Agree with the Weir signing being a monumental one, at the time Though I couldn't have envisaged SDOW having the impact he has though he is truly deserving of the term Rangers Legend now.

    Can Anyone help settle an argument I'm having with a mate When Walter returned to Rangers who was his first signing ? I say Davie Weir my mate says Andy Webster ? I always thought Webster was a done deal before Walter had returned ? Can anyone post a link or paste a copy of all signings made in Walters second spell ?

    I am in agreement with you mate about not signing Goodwillie until the case is dropped I just feel this is a timely reminder to United that we won't haggle for ever either get real or we will move on. I am not against Miller coming back either I felt him and Jelavic would have been a good partnership if both had been fit at same time just feel if we do go down the route of bringing him back would need to be right deal no more than what they paid for him and on our wage terms not his

    Could the link with Miller be a ploy to make Dundee United reconsider our offer for Goodwillie ? Might be wrong but we all know they are strapped for cash and with no one so far meeting their valuation and if rumours to be believed Goodwillie wants to sign for us might just make them rethink our offer and be a bit more realistic in their asking price.
