He left them to join us first :P. Tbf he has out performed McGinn this season personally and if we can pick him up for free we should be trying to get him. Lets not pretend our midfield is that good, plenty in there we could move on instead.

We need to be positioning the pieces to set him up as number one after McGregor. For me that means selling big Wes and maybe Alnwick, I'm confident either of those two young lads could be a suitable backup to McGregor tbh.

I'm undecided but leaning towards why not. He would need a strong team around him. I haven't been impressed with any names linked so far tbh. It is a gamble, guess he also knows how Rodgers works inside out. I don't see why it couldn't work he has experience of working with some great managers and played in the world's biggest tournaments. Think people need to accept it can take a while for a player to settle, sure it is not ideal but it does happen. I mean look at Mourinho last season, he took him time bedding in Mkhitaryan to the point people thought he was a waste of money at one point. The same can be said of Lindelof this season.
