  1. I think this should have the twitter quote in it. That should suffice then :-)
  2. My post (No26) was about this article in the Irish Independent: This good enough
  3. You just click the link I provided above and see where I got that "he may yet sign" from.
  4. Then again, Rangers have been the most dangerous when they can hit teams on the counter, for, despite all people claiming otherwise, we have some pacy folk in Jela, Naismith, Davis, Wylde, Wallace, Lafferty and even Edu. No idea about Bedoya and McKay, but methinks they are said to have good engines too.
  5. Serious or hopeful? Not the question, for I simply report what is being reported. He will most likely get no (real) chance at Arsenal again this season, I mean, they even sent Bendtner away. The twitter thing was done while a) he's been away on international duty and was not bound to come back for any talks, b) he can still sign next week should Arsenal release him (to whomever wanting him) and c) stranger things have happened in football.
  6. ... that said, some sources claim that the paperwork with Fleck and Hutton wasn't done in time.
  7. As already posted in the relevant thread, Rhys Murphy might still be on the agenda ... and one never know what happens with EHD. According to the official site, Hutton and Fleck are off.
  8. Well, maybe it is not all done and dusted yet. He was and is obviously on U21 international duty this week and may still sign up next week, if Arsenal free him. We shall see.
  9. Well, we can always sign a few freebies still ... not that there are many about. Then again, EHC might want to walk up to Ibrox and sign up ...
  10. And Beattie is much like EHD now a freebie.
  11. Text messages to deal in Siphiwe Tshabalala ... I doubt it. The sums and all involved in the reports screams "hoax" to me.
  12. Very much so. The point with debts is how they are "stored" and whether someone wants them back and if so, what time-requirements have to be met. The bank did, Whyte does not. Essentially, it is much like a bank or your dad gives you a credit/loan/you name it. The bank sure wants it back, either in instalments or with interest by a certain date. Daddy on the other hand may want it back or simply write it off. As for new investment et al ... as far as I see it, it is still there. We did not get the people we wanted or they chose not to come and replacements were hard to come by. After all, we are not the only club intereseted in players. As of new ways of income, the suggested Fox Sports deal might be a way ahead. In the end, we have to wait and see. If those other buyers were true with their interest, Park, Murray or King, they still can come to Whyte and offer their money too.
  13. That's what I'm posting :-D
  14. So that's that then.
  15. Mind you, he's an ex-England youth and now u21 ROI international!
  16. Well, I'll be out of the house from 6 p.m. till roundabout 11.50 p.m. German time, so I'll miss all the fun and my F5 button gets some rest. That said, I hardly use it anyways since the evolution of the PC mouse ...
  17. Let's try to keep this thread for transfer rumours, at least today. ;-)
  18. Hope we only sell if the price is right and we have replacements lined up. And I do not see Diouf and (sic!) Murphy not as replacements. Once he's gone, we should move quickly for Jamie Murphy (at least!), but IMHO we will not sell him before x-mas. Squeaky bums time ...
  19. Look what we've found here: Where does this rumour come from, Frankie?
  20. Looks like the BBC is at it again ...
  21. The comparrison was solely about money. Arsenal sure did not want to lose their star man, for that's what he is, as he will be one of Barca's. On a sidenote, some Rangers supporters and press hacks alike will like the fact that Rhys Murphy did play for England's youth team and declared himself for the ROI later on. For the latter, he is playing an u21 international this very evening. (And IMHO, the Irish international teams aren't that bad.)
  22. IMHO, no-one will leave before x-mas. We are all very edgy and thus our view is somewhat tainted. But we are not in any financial doldrum these days. Nonetheless, no matter what, if silly money is being offered, the club will consider it. Essentially the same with Arsenal and Fabregas. The Gunners needed Fabregas and badly, while being financially sound (I think?). Getting far over the odds for their star man made more than sense on a financial point though.
  23. Not now. Before he joined them a second time, it was mentioned that we were considering him too. Nothing more, nothing less. Danny was just musing ...
  24. Ahem ... nowadays, I see no reason to bid for him. Before he rejoined them perhaps.
  25. For 8m, we would have and will sell any of our star players. IMHO, should somesuch occur, we should only sell if we have a real (sic!) replacement ready.
