Rodgers will get found out in time when he eventually ends up at a Southampton or Stoke.
-
Dont think I was comparing them at all, in fact the opposite - i.e. i said he wasnt like McCall however did state that a McCall is the type of player we need. Would anyone not take a McCall in the side now?
-
Just havent seen much in Jack to suggest he is the Stuart McCall type player we need especially after the raves from Aberdeen. I guess we fans see things differently. Maybe watchin on TV / Online doesnt show the work he does off the ball but in the games Ive watched so far I am not overly impressed. You are right on Dorrans though, has dipped slightly since his debut at Fir Park but I still think he is a cracking signing and will get stronger as the season goes on. His goal at Firhill was something he showed us he is capable of.
-
This is exactly what we have gotten mad about for years when managers have put performing players out of position. Why on earth would we move our biggest goal threat out of position? Crazy suggestion!
-
Id be expecting him to run in every game he plays in.

I havent had a coupon up this season yet, this has to be a winning weekend. Saturday West Ham 1-1 Tottenham Burnley 2-1 Hudderfield Everton 2-0 Bournemouth Man City 4-0 Crystal Palace Southampton 0-1 Man Utd Stoke 0-0 Chelsea Swansea 1-1 Watford Leicester 1-2 Liverpool Sunday Brighton 1-1 Newcastle Monday Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

I havent been too impressed with Jack since he joined and wonder if Holt would be the better option from Frankies team. Other than that its a a flip coin if Pena plays instead of Miller or Windass but more likely the mexican will be on the bench. That means Windass and Miller have to perform and if they both do it should mean good things. I do like Windass but think he is a good footballing brain away from being a better player. And Miller scores in big games.

Thats Wallace out for 2 months. Good chance for John to get a run of games. Cardiff will probably be the biggest winners with that. Hopefully Beerman isnt overlooked, he did well when called upon last season.

[FT] Partick Thistle 1 - 3 Rangers (Pena 55; Candeias 94; Herrera 99)

Would prefer to see changes in the team for this to get some players match time. Depending on availability: Alnwick Hodson Wilson Bates Beerman Windass Jack Holt Dalcio Pena Herrera -
Cant fathom talk of playing defensive against Celtic at Ibrox. If it was away then caution is fair enough considering where we are at but at home we should always take the game to them. Id say this Celtic side is peaking between now and last season but they are far from unbeatable. 4-5-1 looks better for us IMO. Miller has a great record against them so may be the option on the left side with Windass rotating.

I changed the channel when it went 2-0 and just read your post to see it was 4 they ended up with. Utd scoring 4 for the 3rd time this season. The two Manchester clubs will run away with things yet have had things a bit easy for them in certain games. Everton and Koeman under pressure. The goal difference sway brings West Ham out of the bottom 3.

Partick 0-1 Rangers Candieas FGS -
I had a big accumulator and was let down by Liverpool and Aberdeen who I thought would be the easiest home bankers.

Here we go, Ladbrokes should be profiting from me this weekend. Friday Bournemouth 2-1 Brighton Saturday Crystal Palace 1-1 Southampton Huddersfield 1-2 Leicester Liverpool 2-0 Burnley Newcastle 1-1 Stoke Watford 0-2 Man City West Brom 1-1 West Ham Tottenham 4-1 Swansea Sunday Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal Man Utd 2-1 Everton

Spurs result was a surprise for me. I thought Everton had to get something if they are serious about breaking into the top 6. I'll have a punt on the Championship Tuesday, and I'll get back into a bookies for the first time in a while.

Going back to the thread when appointed I said it was the wrong move for FdB, he would be more suited to a club like Southampton. Palace are an ugly club which wasnt a match at all for FdB. His stock will be knocked now due to this and Inter but there is a good manager there for the right club.
-
Id like to think Club chairmen and board members wouldnt even consider forums when making a decision on choosing a manager. Nothing personal against Davies but Im glad he hasnt been in charge at Ibrox before for footballing reasons.
-
A bad round of predictions again, this league is becoming like the championship, too unpredictable.
-
I would have to say the opposite, I think they are on the up. They used to be a yoyo club but are well established now. For a while they would be bottom 8 but now I cant see anything lower than 11th for them and would have them a likely top 10. They did well in the transfer window. Last season fizzled out and they were on the beach by April after reaching their target points tally and rather than cementing 8th they dropped a bit. They are a more established club than the likes of Bournemouth, Swansea, Leicester and Watford plus better than Huddersfield and Brighton so I dont think they will struggle at all.

Archie Knox insists even the great Sir Alex Ferguson would struggle...
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I beg to differ with Archie. I dont think Sir Alex would struggle. He may not win the title but he wouldnt be dropping silly points against mid table sides. He automatically gets an extra 10-20% out of players and the fact its his club would give him some drive. Just a pity we wont actually get to see Sir Alex manage Rangers just once. -
Pedro, a man with dignity. Rangers v Dundee preview.
Gribz replied to cooponthewing's topic in Rangers Chat
Glad to have domestic footy back, feels like an age. Unfortunately Im in flight so wont get to see results until tomorrow. But I'll be expecting to see 3 points on arrival, its a must. Squad should be fresh with minimal internationals going away (if any??). Hope Neil McCann gets a good reception all the same. -
Cant help noticing you back against WBA every week Scott. Is that why they are doing well? Man City 1-1 Liverpool Arsenal 2-0 Bournemouth Brighton 1-1 WBA Everton 1-1 Tottenham Leicester 2-3 Chelsea Southampton 0-0 Watford Stoke 0-2 Man Utd Burnley 0-1 Crystal Palace Swansea 2-0 Newcastle West Ham 1-0 Huddersfield.

The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread

Cant see Cardiff sending John up if he isnt going to get a game. Who does he start for though, he can play left and right. -
He was ridiculously along with Lacazette. His selections was just to powder puff. He has an obsession with monreal who is a good pro but a left back at best. Added to that Holding isnt top 4 standard. In the centre Ramsay isnt a centre midfielder in a month of sundays - he is a No.10. Its all about him getting the right shape again.
-
Next month briefly. Draxler linked to Arsenal - that would be a good signing, natural left. I didnt think Mayrez would be a good addition but actually think he would now. Still need an enforcer in the midfield....a lot of work for Wenger to get done. Wilshire to West Ham for a season loan is also looking likely, would have preferred Carvalho but if Wilshire is fit he is class. Upgrade on Noble.
