[FT] Hamilton 1 - 4 Rangers (John 21, 25; Candeias 27; Dorrans 59 pen)
Gribz replied to 26th of foot's topic in Rangers Chat
I like the look of D John, reminds me in Cresswell at West Ham. Pleased with the result and for Pedro. It seems to be the theme that the jury is still out on him but the majority want him to succeed. There is improvement, we look a better and more organised team from last season and dont have just Plan A. And it is still early days. Just a shame about another international break. -
Actually think the Aguero injury could sway the result. Would have went 2-2 before because he has been unplayable. Im also going to gave a flutter on Crystal Palace today, cant turn down 18/1 odds. Huddersfield 0-2 Tottenham Bournemouth 1-1 leicester Man Utd 3-0 Crystal Palace (0-1 though for my bet) Stoke 1-1 Southampton West Brom 0-0 Watford West ham 2-1 Swansea Chelsea 2-1 Man City Arsenal 2-0 Brighton Everton 1-0 Burnley Newcastle 1-3 Liverpool

You wonder if its an attitude thing. Whenever Ive seen him he always looks decent. Other players who left in the summer - Waghorn had a worldy the other night, scored one and set up 3 as Ipswich beat Sunderland 5-2. Think he has got 5 goals in 7 games. -

That was surprising. Falkirk have been challenging for 2-3 years but one bad start this season and he is out. I thought they would be favourites for the league this year. -
It looks like a 80s school But all semi finals which dont include Rangers Celtic and Hearts should be played at Tynecastle. You dont need Hampden for Motherwell v Ross County. Atmosphere all day long. Same as England - Villa Park for FA Cup semis.

Fair play to Sheff Utd. Not my most favourite team in the world but well done. They are going well. The Championship is still the most competitive league in the world - hands down.

Sorry for starting this thread peeps. I was a little tipsy. But it still had some meaning. I think there is a something internal lacking at the moment, cant put my finger on it.
-
But didnt you say on another thread to Craig you would have moved Morelos to the left wing? Thats like moving tavenier to centre half.
-
Nah they didnt. But have been drawn against each other in the cup in the same week they played each other. Good effort son.

I kind of want to still remind some that we are still on the recovery path and I always said it will take 2-3 seasons to win the title again. Whats probably disappointing more than anything is the Hibs and Hearts results - they both were 2nd tier sides recently. I dont compare us to Celtic in the 90s but it did take them a few years to catch up - things are very different now but we should honestly be aiming for consistent progression (hate that word now) and I think the first have yesterday showed improvement from last seasons shockers. The league table isnt exactly looking good, in fact we need to go on a winning run. Considering budgets and our size we need to win our next 3 games.

Leicester v Liverpool Bournemouth v Brighton Partick v Rangers Motherwell v Aberdeen How many repeat games in cup and league can there be in a row. Surely a record this month.

First derby in 5 years. Come on the Wednesday. Ive had a wee flutter on half time full time. The Championship is starting to get good already. Warnock's Cardiff winning at Sunderland, Leeds are flying and Wolves. Good win for Villa against Forest. And there is another round of games this midweek.

Not sure which direction you find easier bud. I just dont fight jetlag anymore, few beers and let it sort itself out. Got a peach of a photo while landing BTW you may appreciate. 3 countries in one photo.

Very nice to read. I lost my Wallet on Friday (although found it later) and its a horrible feeling when losing something.

Really dont know what you are saying here. Makes no sense at all and has no reflection to the discussion I replied to TannochBear.

Agreed, we were very much in the game and after the little fiasco from Broon I thought it was perfect for the manager to give the players a bigger lift but it seemed to tame us. They came out with the intensity we didnt. The first half was quite pleasing as Pedro seemed to have learned from the two losses last season but after the break we were poor.

4 out of 8, its a 50% win rate . Scott you pipped my by one result from Saturdays game. And we have both gone 1-1 today and 2-0 on Monday. Spurs just know how to win away from home, disappointing from the Hammers. I though Liverpool would win after losing in the cup at Leicester in midweek. Coutinho is sublime. City are romping, 20 goals in 4 games. yet I still think they could get found out, they were lucky to win at Bourmemouth. They have Chelsea next which is set up nicely.

Fair first half. Was defo a pen on Morelos. Even Andy Walker said it was a pen. Magical tackle on Pedro in the first minute, he should have got booked for diving.
-
For the first time I am leaning towards you saying Pena may be the better option. Purely for the fact Miller is no use in midfield. Upfront Morelos has to start whereas normally Id have Miller all day long but because the Coloumbian is playing well he has to start therefore I think you have a point on Miller in midfield.

Get a carry out and start drinking when you wake up. I know I have. Thanks Jetlag.

Cant make McCall a measuring stick??!?? Eh?? Cant expect players to reach such a standard? With that statement no wonder Scotland and Scottish football drops behind. We should be aiming for better. Your a company man - does your employer say to you that you wont do as good as someone 20 years ago? Utter nonsense. Did Sir Alex Ferguson build 4 or 5 teams based on the game going downhill regardless of money? You have stated a flawed argument - and it sounds like just for the purpose of it. And once again I havent compared him to anyone especially of yesteryear. I said he isnt that "type" of player. Sorry for just having higher expectations of what I have seen.
-
Yes absolutely I saw a Ronaldo double in Paris - working in the transfer customs section. He looked more like Ronaldo than Ronaldo did I thought the club would issue a statement though if he is heading off for treatment.
-
No confirmation thats even Alves. I saw a Cristiano Ronaldo double working at Charles De Gauille on Wednesday.
-
His Swansea days may sway someone but even then its been well stated that Sousa and Martinez built a base. Frankie may be right - you can earn a right to be a tad arrogant but more so if you are a player. That tink Griffiths had a piece earlier when asked about Morelos and he said yes he is doing good but Rangers defence should be worried about our attack - I dont have an issue when players have arrogant statements like that but a manager should always show class.
-
Yes fully agree mate with the change of the game but McCall is always going to be the measuring stick for our defensive midfielders. The terrier type is gone and Michael Carrick was the first of the breed to show that up to 10 years ago that you dont have to be a terrier in that role. But I thought with Jack we were getting a solid holding midfielder to sit infront of the defence. Its still early days for him mind so Im all for giving a season to settle.
