  1. How many players down the years have been paid while sitting in the treatment room then move on.
  2. Top job for all involved. Thanks for that. And if any donations are needed please PM me, Ive been on here long enough (15 years holt shit) to be welcomed to contribute. I'll have a jar with you.
  3. Agreed and an 18 team league should be in place with 2 or 3 divisions max. Although the 18 team league can wait for now to keep Dundee Utd out of the top tier :-)
  4. Miller and Kranjcar at their peak would be, perhaps Alves although hasnt shown it. Morelos is on the right track.
  5. Arsenal are on a major decline. They have to go win the Europa or they could become isolated in 7th for years. They could end up with a team like Holding, Chambers, Elneny etc for a long time as they just dont sign anyone. They want Jonny Evans which would be a cracking signing but he will go to Man City as his wife works for MUTV therefore no need to move south.
  6. No thanks. Miserable guy. The Wales job is available for him.
  7. Interesting signing. Didnt know he was 28.
  8. Still only 38, same age as moi, didnt realise that. Hope the wee fella is fine.
  9. There was probably too much Premier League games over the Christmas period. 6 games in about 3 weeks is too much, you cant keep up. I like having games over the period though and not a fan of the break. That said, like Gav Id be up for summer football with the SPL.
  10. And barely played in an awful league? In saying that I was unaware Halliday was more of a left sided midfielder yet he has been deployed centrally for Rangers. With John getting up and down the left wing back position Halliday could play as an inside left. We may get a few good games out of him as he is determined to do well.
  11. It didn't even click that Nicholl was No.2 with N Ireland but as soon as I remembered then this was my first thought.
  12. Considering it could be for 4 or 5 months (unless the new manager wants to keep JN) then I think its the exact type of No.2 we need. Plenty experience, knows the club, a bit no-nonsense, seems to be good at man management with individuals, and will help Murty improve.
  13. Yes there has been some good signings over the years but I would say for every one good signing there has been about 3 or 4 disasters like Kyle, Gow, Bollan, Velicka. 1 or 2 of the best of the rest has always worked when they have slipped under the radar like Novo and then Neil McCann was an awesome signing, but if we start making the majority of our team make up of these players we will end up an average SPL team especially with the standard not being what it was 10 years ago. The Murphy signing is of more interest, I think a player can benefit from a spell down south and can have something to prove when they come back north.
  14. A good piece but have to be honest and say the names mentioned to come in dont inspire me. We shouldnt be looking at cherry picking Kilmarnock and Dundee players. All in all I see minimal Ins and Outs in January. I do wonder if O Hallaran coming in and getting on with Murty can be a boost to the team though.
  15. The only thing with Van Dijk is he wont help an already dismantled defence that isnt working if they arent being coached right, he will be the next to look poor. Lovren was a cracking centre half at Southampton. Despite that I think he will massively improve them but they still need a keeper before they will start to be solid at the back. They need a left back also.
  16. Its a tricky one. Some incoming cash would be useful but we shouldnt leave ourselves short especially with our injury record. Plus it would be more sensible to let the next manager decide who stays or goes so I would say minimal business would be done in January unless its for money we cant turn down. Any outgoings will also have an impact on Halliday and O Hallaran, either if they come back or are sold permanently. Players like Dalcio would be the first off the books for me though, he doesnt feature and we should be paying any wage for a loanee who doesnt play.
  17. Id give Bates a chance. Plus if we want to go to a 3 Wilson, Cardoso and Bates might work.
  18. Strange season, they have lost 14 games, only Birmingham on the bottom have lost more but they are still mid table with 10 wins also.
  19. An old fashioned type centre half which was a dying breed. I was impressed by him and Beerman last year, I would like to see them get more game time.
  20. I thought it was a great effort, nobody froze and with a bit better finishing we would have won that. Thats the level we need against the St Johnstones and Hamiltons and we would easily stroll up the league. Thought Norman Bates was immense when he come on, I hope he is on a long term contract.
  21. A good approach but should be better in the final third.
  22. Awesome from the Bears...out sang that song they like to sing.
  23. Its a half good appointment.
  24. Thats quite nice...looks a bit like my misses.....time for a beer.
  25. Ive humped far worse...Id marry half the things Ive humped for a win. Dont Think Ive ever been this hungover for a game ever.....fuckin basketball is on until the game starts....
