Was impressive. But Porto arent as good as they was. So far the 3 english clubs are in the better positions, City have done their job. Spurs have to be favourites as Juve have to score but that is still in the balance. Man Utd and Chelsea both have tough ones. Barca favourites for Chelsea but Sevilla will be a tough game for Man Utd.

I like Big Eck but this is desperate. He cant get a job at club level anywhere. He must have a good guardian angel. There was comments about Walter walking away from the job for Rangers yet McLeish jumped ship to Birmingham, he only managed 10 games.

Need to bring back the prediction and chat thread on its own rather than individual games. North London Derby at Wembley could be a corker on Saturday. I thought Arsenal looked a lot more balanced and less disjointed last week. Iwobi had his best game (he was overdue one) and its probably playing in a natural position with good players around him. Wenger has a problem choosing between Wilshire and Ramsay though (cant see him playing both as Xhaka seems to be a cert starter). Wilshire has been Arsenals best player in the last 10 weeks but Ramsay just scored a hat trick. Id choose Wilshire all day long as a player but Ramsay may be a better fit next to Ozil and Mkhitaryan. Spurs are very impressive from one to eleven and have a strong bench. Talk about De bruyne, Salah and Hazard as the players who are flying but Eriksson has been superb this season. Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal Everton 1-0 Crystal Palace Stoke 1-0 Brighton Swansea 1-1 Burnley West Ham 1-2 Watford Man City 2-0 Leicester Huddersfield 1-0 Bournemouth Newcastle 0-2 Man Utd Southampton 1-3 Liverpool Chelsea 3-0 West Brom

He has surprised me considering he didn't excite too much having seen him for Scotland but has been refreshing.

I would say certainly more stable and Id say that since Murty has come in and brought more British players. But improvement is two fold. Point tally and performances. Point tally speaks for itself and barring a few silly results it would be even better. Performance wise I think will get better if we retain the majority of the current squad but get the loanees on permanent deals and gain more momentum. Murty is very admirable but I cant help thinking there is a much better choice out there who could do well in the next 12 months with this group of players.

What is wrong with some people - Reactions to Yvonne Dorrans twitter post

Nail on head. It should be called Antisocial media. People dont speak anymore. Its fine for people you wouldnt regularly see but when its your best mates / family etc it goes too far. Ive never been on Twitter, wouldnt know how to use it. The Hash Tag stuff also ruining real alphabet. -
What a lengthy mess this has been. I couldnt believe reading Walter might be in contention again and is now favourtie. Its a good thing though and Id welcome it. I did always think Malky McKay would actually be considered and I think he deserves another managers job eventually. He has taken a hit from the Cardiff texts. The shorter odds are: Walter Smith 3/1 Alex McLeish 4/1 Scott Gemmill 5/1 Gary Caldwell 8/1 Malky McKay 8/1 Steve Clarke 8/1 Stuart McCall 12/1

As MacK says it was a general comment. Its regularly heard on radio etc that people dont have a club what is going on. Also some just dont like the start stop of it, yesterdays superbowl last 2 minutes took about 8 minutes. Personally I like it.

Total mess there at the moment but its the club repeating what it does every few years. Poor run of results this calendar year. Couldnt beat Norwich over 210 mins, out the league cup to Arsenal and bad league form. Selling and not playing their spine from last season is where it started. Luis hasnt been playing, Matic sold, Costa sold. Those playing arent as good. If they lost Hazard they are in trouble.

Its a game you very much have to understand and get into. I am a fan of it, I watched it a lot as a kid from a young age on the old Channel 4 on a sunday night. Did a stadium tour of Buffalo Bills which was great - that was the team I started to support when I was young. Coincidentally it was at a time where they broke a record for 4 superbowl runners up in a row (89-93 seasons). Since coming to Asia Ive not had the coverage and the time zone is a nightmare so Ive not watched it so much, but I could easily sit and watch a full match. I do get the American antics about it though, they do tend to think its the biggest show on earth when the Champions League and World cup blows it away. As for the result - I certainly would have back the Eagles, I said to a yank in the bar last night that Philadelphia would win.

For sure he should be given a deal. Whenever Ive seen him he looks like he is getting better.

I would give Kolasinac a chance at holding midfield to break up the play. He is a bit of a tank and can get about. I thought he was doing well on the left but he has fallen out of favour. but Arsenal have trimmed the squad a bit over the last windows. Debuchy, Gabriel, Walcott, Ox, Coquelin and Giroud were all pretty much players for the Europa. Sanchez out and Cazorla unlikely to play much more football means they have an important summer to get right. Mertesacker is retiring so that's another one out plus Holding and Chambers either have to step up or move on.

I think staying at Hampden is a banker. Depending on who is playing then finals can be played at Easter Road or Tynecastle. If its Ross County v St Johnstone no 50000+ stadium will be half full. Yet OF finals should be played at a ground with 70000+, the balance is just all wrong.

Spurs were outstanding and must be gutted it was only 2-0. Most flat performance from a Man Utd team ive ever seen including Moyes time. I thought on paper they would at least get a 2-2 but Lingard, Sanchez and Martial all had stinkers. Plus bringing Pogba off was a bit statement, Jose isnt playing him in his right position.

Arsenal needed a few younger players. Ozil signing is a boost if he continues his form this season, he has actually showed up in a lot of games and been class. Wilshire has to be next and then going forward they look good although Lemar in the summer would be the icing then they can add defensive players. A couple of shrewd deals. Sturridge to WBA is interesting if he can stay fit. Giroud to Chelsea is up their with one of the bargains. He will score for fun with Hazard laying him off.

They have to take it across the board though and make it black and white as to why its banned and why upon individuals (Rangers fans). Else Hearts and man utd to name a few cant sing the same song. You just cant impose that. I would say there is far other worse songs sung at grounds than the billy boys. IMO it was a plane attack by others simply because they know its almost a 12th man song. Its almost like Gers fans bidding to get Hail Hail banned.

Deadline day tomorrow and there is numerous signings going on. I dont get why they always wait until the last minute, the deals should be done on day one and they get their players for another 3 games. The Baggies are a bit busy. Egyptian defender Ali Gabr and Daniel Sturridge. Spurs get PSG's Lucas for 25m. Arsenal agree Aubameyang transfer IF Dortmund can sign a striker. Laporte to Man City for 57m. (figures are going mental).

Check out Flamengo FC from Brazil. their logo is quite similar to Rangers. I had a shirt from them.

Cant really say Ive seen the chap play, anyone confirm what type of midfielder he is? Looking at the squad our midfield certainly seems bolstered at the moment.
-
Yeah quite funny. I quite like all clubs to keep traditional badge. A few teams have changed recently. West Ham have added london to there's but should say East London if anything, but prefer they removed the wording. Not sure who came up with that Leeds one though.

This seems like International footballs last throw of the dice and they couldn't have arranged it anymore confusing if they tried.
-
Yeah not suggesting they would go out of business but when you are talking figures in the billions for the Premier League it could still affect clubs. And fans worldwide have been saying the bubble in the Premier league could eventually burst and this could be a potential way it could happen. To be honest I wouldn't have a clue how to watch Amazon, didn't even know they had a TV channel. I take it that its online only and not available via cable TV?? I would also guess its more popular in the US and UK. Im quite content and happy with the premier league TV channel via Cable TV here, its great coverage with all the games.

match preview (image) Rangers 2 (Morelos, Tavernier) v Aberdeen 0

Beat the 3 times in 2 months and level on points shows we need to start seeing of the teams lower down the league. Kilmarnock, Dundee Hamilton results are still a bit of a sting else we would be a confortable second. -
You just wonder if that would be a mass Setanta. What percentage of punter / arm chair viewer / global viewer would watch games via Amazon, Netflix etc. how many viewers even register with the likes of these. So many will just be happy to turn on SKy TV / BT TV and watch what they have at present. I tend to avoid all internet TV as such and I wonder how many do the same. I think it would tend to target younger generations up to mid 40s.
